Cute spot in a great location!

We spent an entire week sightseeing from this great location. The hosts were super accessible and helpful. The apartment was well appointed and met all of our needs. The neighborhood was residential and we felt immediately comfortable here. Everything felt a hop, skip, and jump away!

Scary stairs

We had a fantastic stay, property is really nice. Only thing to watch out for is if you have any stability disability the open staircase can be quite scary.

Perfect spot!

The condo was cozy, clean and centrally located. Such a perfect spot for exploring Lisbon on foot. The neighborhood is welcoming, and has everything you need to immediately settle in. One of my best meals was at Solar 31, just down the hill a few paces. The views from the kitchen and the bedroom are spectacular! I could not have asked for more!

Good choice

This is an excellent little 2-story apartment right in the central area of Lisbon with many restaurants and cafés in walkable distance. The apartment itself is quiet, clean and has everything you need for a short trip. The immediate area surrounding the apartment can be a bit rough, but it's clearly improving. Thanks for having us!

Cute, small apartment. Loved the location. Only a couple minute walk to Rossio Square and many good restaurants. Apartment was clean and adequately supplied. For sure the steps are steep and would be dangerous for young children, or older guests but we managed. Great communication with the owner and would recommend this apartment to friends and family.

Location, location, location

Perfect location next to Rossio. Quite a steep hill to climb to get there however. Since the appartement is very compact and the bedroom is on the 2nd floor (bathroom, kitchen & « living room » are on the first), not suitable for people with limited mobility or affraid of heights. The rest is PERFECT.

Beautiful Apartment Great Location

This feels like an authentic Lisbon experience…from navigating the winding cobblestone streets to appreciating the rooftop view. Lisbon is full of crazy steep hills, and getting here is no exception…off the beaten path, but close enough to everything from restaurants to attractions. Bring hood shoes and plan on getting lost!

Wonderful Stay

Can't beat the location! We walked to most of the attractions. The bus and tram stops are in Rossio square. The train station to Sintra is walking distance. We were visiting Lisbon for the first time and couldn't have asked for a better location. The apartment is clean and the view from the kitchen and bedroom window is awesome. The steps in the townhouse are a little steep. Emanuel & Michaela were very prompt with communication.

Cute loft-style apartment up steps from front door to cute and cozy living space. Good bathroom and pullout sofa/bed. Up more steps, mind your footing, the cozy bed. Great views. All needs provided. Trip to Lisbon

The property is in a great location, the hand rails need to be replaced also the stools were wobbly. The stairs are a challenge for anyone who has mobility issues. In conjunction with the flimsy hand rail and stairs this could pose a safety issue. We did advise the owners who sort of tightened the screws. It needs a proper hand rails.Also the sofa bed needs new pillows. At night it can get noisy, however there is no complaints about the excellent location.

A quaint central neighbourhood retreat

This place is exactly as listed and not intended for those with mobility issues, which we dont have at age 75. However,the bathrooms location beneath the master bedroom down windy, narrow stairs with a precarious banister was challenging. If you are prepared for this set up, the price is fair and the apartment ideal for 2 people only. It is too much money if you find this set up unacceptable. The apt should not be advertised as sleeping 4. The pullout couch woukd consume the entire room.

Week-long stay in Lisbon

Super clean, well-appointed apartment in a central and convenient location to explore Lisbon and surrounding area - the Rossio train station is less than 10min by foot. Be sure to dine at Solar 31 for outstanding grilled seafood and only 25m down the hill. Yes, this apartment is on a steep hillside. You walk alot of hills in Lisbon everywhere you go. I would caution that this apartment is not ideal for everyone. It is on a steep hill and inside the apartment are two sets of steep stairs. If you have mobility issues or are just uneasy on step stairs, this is not a good place for you. We loved it however!

Nice end of year celebrations in Lisbia

The accommodation facilities are corresponding to advertising. The cleanliness of the premises is exemplary and the accommodation is very well located in the center of Lisbon. The disadvantages of housing are as follows: the street in front of the entrance is filled with household waste and piles of old clothes; the entrance to 21 was even blocked from the outside by a mattress in the street.... and street blocked du to rubbish. The view is very beautiful from the second floor, less glamorous from the 1st with views overlooking a very dirty old plastic swimming pool . The two staircases inside the apartment are steep and the staircase to access the first floor is not at all secure and therefore dangerous for children but not only for children. The apartment is very well decorated with a good level of interior comfort. The double beds are not very wide. In summary, an interesting address with unattractive exteriors. If we return to Lisbon, we will try to find a more balanced place with same price level.

Nice but beware of location

The apartment itself corresponds well to the pictures. It is a well designed, comfortable, livable, and cozy apartment. It has natural light, nice views, it is not too noisy, and it is in the center of Lisbon. The check-in is easy and the host is responsive. The only two concerns I have about the apartment itself is that (1) there is nothing to cook with (i.e., no pans, frying pans, pots, etc) and that (2) almost all the TV channels are in German (except a couple in French). As to the location, it might be a bit deceiving. Although it is only a few minutes away from Praca da Figueira and Rossio, the last 200 meters before arriving at the apartment, which are on a hill, require walking in an area which is in a quite poor state: it is dirty (garbage in the street), does not smell very well (urine and worse), is used for people to do drugs (I saw it in several occasions), and a good number of its buildings are in decay. Although the host reassured me I should not worry, all this can nevertheless make someone—specially someone traveling alone—be worried. It made me doubt about going out at night.

Dear Abel, We are happy that you liked the apartment and would like to reply to your review referring to your comments on the kitchen and TV: 1. We really can not understand why you did not ask us, if you had the impression that kitchen items were missing. This is absolutely not the case! The kitchen is fully equipped with all items including pans, pots etc. which you can find in the kitchen cabinet under the fridge. We also provide a full size oven, microwave and even a dishwasher. We never had any complaint about the kitchen equipment - to the contrary - often it is mentioned as a plus of the apartment to be fully equipped. We would have sent pictures of the equipment, but not possible. 2. The TV provides all FREE digital channels from the Satellite Astra 1 with approximately 250 international channels. The most common Satellite in Western Europe. 3. The neighborhood in general is a traditional historical habitation area and is also served by a lot of tourist habitations like airbnbs etc. The great Plus is that although absolutely central to all attractions of the Historic district it is very quiet. When you asked about the security of the area we reassured you that Lisbon is a multicultural city with all ethnic groups that you might not be used to but there is no security issue other than general precautions everyone should follow in big European cities. Portugal overall is currently in the Top 5 Countries worldwide as one of the safest and peacefully Countries.

Gemütliches , kleines, sauberes Appartement mitten in Lissabon ganz in der Nähe des Rossio: einen besseren Ausgangspunkt für alle Unternehmungen gibt es wohl kaum. Appartement, ist sauber, gut ausgestattet, alles da,was man braucht. Der empfang war sehr sympathisch. Bett sehr bequem. Ausserordentlich schöne Aussicht über die Dächer von Lissabon!! Sehr zentral gelegen! Einziger Nachteil: die doch sehr steilen Treppen im Appartement. Jedoch gehört das auch irgendwie zum Charme des Appartements. Wir würden wiederkommen😊
