Nanci is one of our favorite guests, because she explored the Waianae coast and discovered some of the little known secrets of our area. And she enjoyed the beauty and simplicity of our "studio in the sky," sitting on top of the valley and looking far out to sea. We will welcome Nanci, and all of her breed, any time. Mark had many questions before booking our condo. He wanted our one bedroom condo (#454261) but it was not available. He was not sure the Murphy bed would be comfortable, but agreed after a couple of nights that the bed was fine. The view from the spacious lanai is awesome, truly difficult to describe. Traffic is bothersome at times on H-1, but staying at Makaha Valley Towers is worth a few delays. Thank you, Mark, for the nice review.

The location of Makaha on the Waianae coast seems remote for those who like the crowds at Waikiki, but the secret is that it really is peaceful and quiet in the beautiful valley. If one wants to take a ocassional drive around the island it is available. Thank you for the kind words. Come aim soon.

Aloha Christine: Thank you for being our guest in our studio condo. We are sorry you were not pleased with the condo. We were surprised that you thought the condo was dated. It was completely remodeled a few years ago after water leaked down from above and damaged the kitchen and bathroom the walls. There is nothing left that was original except the tub and shower. The sink is small because it is in a studio. We assume our guests will use the dish washer. You mentioned ant traps. Actually we place 8 ant traps and 8 water bug traps in the living room, kitchen and bath areas because Hawaii has bugs and we do not want them in our condo. The wall-to-ceiling drapes should keep the light out. We recommend to our guests that they close them at night. We have received excellent reviews, but will take you comments into consideration.
