Five stars. We recently stayed on Deer Island right by Harbour Town in Sea Pines, and it was one of the best Hilton Head stays we’ve had. I’ve stayed on Deer Island several times before, and it has always been one of my favorite places because of the quiet setting, the wildlife, the views, and how easy it is to walk or bike over to Harbour Town.This rental was especially special because it sat right on Heddy’s Gutter Creek. I love to fish and keep a boat in Hilton Head year-round, so being able to cast right off the back porch and catch redfish made the trip unforgettable. At one point, we had five deer walking around the house and porch, which made the whole place feel peaceful and unique.Staying in Sea Pines is something I would highly recommend in general. You have the Beach Club, Harbour Town, great places to eat, bike paths, trolleys if you do not want to drive everywhere, and pretty much everything you need right there inside Sea Pines. When we stay there, we honestly do not leave much unless we are going to the grocery store or heading to the boat. A lot of times we will even move the boat into Sea Pines and keep it at Harbour Town or over near the Salty Dog area, so the whole trip stays easy.One of the best parts is being able to avoid a lot of the crazy summer traffic around Hilton Head and just stay in your own quiet, peaceful spot.
