Zen In Narrow- Narrowsburg retreat near center of town
Welcome to the newly refreshed Zen in Narrowsburg — a peaceful Catskills retreat designed for rest, connection, and ease. Just two hours from NYC, this serene farmhouse offers a true sense of escape while keeping you in walking distance to the heart of town. We love sharing our home and look forward to hosting you, your family, and friends. Set on three-quarters of an acre with open views and a feeling of space, the house blends quiet countryside living with walkable village charm.
This home features a convenient self check-in for a smooth and flexible arrival. While we are not on-site, our local team is available if needed. We provide 24-hour guest support for anything that may arise during your stay and are always happy to help when it matters.
Narrowsburg is a hamlet within the town of Tusten, NY in Sullivan County. Narrowsburg is thriving and lively and sits on the Delaware River between the Catskills and Poconos. Over the past couple years, the town has blossomed into quite the artsy community. Main Street has everything you’d hope for: Unique lifestyle boutiques such as the Velvet Maple, One Grand book store, the Chi Hive yoga studio and gym, the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance art gallery, 2 Queens Coffee, the Tusten Cup, The Heron restaurant, an Eagle lookout and much more. Zen In Narrow is a quick 5 minute walk to Main street and the Delaware River. It's located behind "The Union", what used to be the Middle/High School, hence the address 43 School Street. No need for a car unless you plan to visit other surrounding areas and attractions.
Guest Access & Shared Property Notes
Guests have full access to Unit 2 of the farmhouse, including the home itself and the surrounding yard. The property is a side-by-side duplex, with Unit 1 occupied by a full-time tenant and Unit 2 reserved entirely for guests.
Outdoor spaces are shared between both units and offer plenty of room to relax and enjoy the fresh air. We simply ask that guests be mindful of noise when spending time outdoors close to the house, especially during evening hours.
When facing the house from the front, Unit 2 is the door on the left. From the rear driveway, Unit 2 is accessed through the sliding door.
Please note that small dogs may occasionally be present on the property. The guest space is professionally cleaned and refreshed between every stay, but guests with pet allergies may want to take this into consideration.
Welcome to Zen in Narrowsburg, a serene Catskills farmhouse just a short stroll from the heart of Narrowsburg, NY — where walkable village charm meets peaceful refuge in the woods. Nestled minutes from the Delaware River, local galleries, coffee shops, and restaurants, this thoughtfully updated home offers a harmonious blend of comfort, convenience, and quiet.
Light floods the living spaces through generous windows, and every room feels both warm and welcoming — a place to unwind after wandering Main Street or adventuring along nearby trails. With heated tile floors, inviting bedrooms, and personal touches throughout, Zen in Narrowsburg invites you to slow down, recharge, and find your own rhythm in the Catskills.
The Living Room – Comfort & Connection
Step inside and settle into a space designed for both connection and calm. Plush seating gathers around a cozy fireplace — perfect for intimate conversations, slow mornings with coffee, or evenings lost in your favorite book. Sunlight dances through the windows by day, and as night falls, the gentle glow of soft lighting creates a mood of ease and warmth.
Stone and wood elements throughout the room lend natural texture, while curated décor gives the space soul without fuss. Whether you’re catching up with loved ones or simply savoring the stillness, this is a room that feels like home.
The Kitchen – Warmth Meets Modern Ease
In the heart of the home, a beautifully updated kitchen invites cooking, gathering, and lingering. Heated floors feel luxurious underfoot, while thoughtful finishes and quality appliances make meal prep effortless. Whether you’re brewing morning coffee before a day of exploration or preparing a dinner to share, this kitchen supports both ritual and spontaneity.
A casual dining nook nearby provides the perfect vantage point for sunlight and conversation — a place where meals feel slow and meaningful, even if they’re simple.
The Bedrooms – Quiet Retreats
Each of the three bedrooms offers a restful sanctuary after days filled with river breezes, village strolls, and Catskills skies. Linens are soft, spaces are quiet, and thoughtful touches throughout make every guest feel truly at ease. Morning light pours in gently, inviting slow starts and extra moments beneath warm blankets.
The spa-like bathrooms pair calm aesthetics with modern comfort — long, leisurely showers or comforting soaks feel like an invitation to unwind fully.
Outdoors – Porch, Firepit & Walkable Delight
Beyond the walls of the house, Zen in Narrowsburg continues to soothe. A covered front porch beckons with Adirondack chairs — perfect for morning coffee or twilight conversations under the stars. In the backyard, a firepit invites quiet fireside moments, laughter, and toasted marshmallows on cool evenings.
Step out the door and you’re just a five minute walk from Main Street — where galleries, cafés, and local boutiques create a vibrant yet relaxed village energy. The Delaware River and scenic landscapes offer adventure or stillness, depending on the pace you choose.
Whether you’re curled up by the fire, wandering town in the late afternoon light, or sipping coffee on the porch at sunrise, Zen in Narrowsburg invites you to connect — with nature, with moments of quiet, and with the joy of getting away.
The house has parking. Please only park on the right side of the driveway. If you have more that one car, you will need to park behind one another. If you're staying local (on Main Street), and enjoy walking...no need for a car unless you plan to visit other surrounding areas and attractions.
The study, the "3rd" bedroom with the convertible couch with a queen size mattress is only accessible from the 2nd bedroom or Master bedroom. It has doors from both entrances, but if complete privacy is a concern...please note. Looking at the pics...you can see the layout. Just want to let you know in advance.
