Aundrea was an awesome communicator - very responsive. House was ready and accessible as she said it would be. Very close to the ocean (maybe 100yds). Quiet area, but central to everything from the shopping area / convention center to the pier and driftwood beach.The house was dog friendly for our benefit. Loved everything about it and will come back next time we are at Jekyll Island

Mike, being only about 100 yards from the ocean while still tucked into a quiet pocket of the island is a big part of what makes this house work. Glad the dog-friendly setup suited your crew. Jekyll Island will be here whenever you are ready to return.

The unit is beautiful, but prepare for noise if the other unit is booked! There is no sound proofing between the units so you can hear everything (especially dogs barking). Limited storage and kitchen “gear”. Otherwise the unit was beautiful, clean and the property manager was great to work with! Great location is a bonus!

Spotless with all new appliances and kitchen cabinets etc. Fast internet and huge Smart TV with comfortable seating in living area. Just a short walk to the beach and to bike path. We (especially our dog) also enjoyed the screened porch. Because it is a duplex we could sometimes hear neighbors who rented other unit (kids). For some reason it takes the hot water in bathroom sink a looong time to get warm. Kitchen and shower heated up reasonably fast.

This was great for our needs. Everything was clean and well kept. As a note, all the seating for meals is high-top; I had a recent knee injury and so that was difficult for me, but normally would not be an issue. I also had difficulty reaching the kitchen sink faucet. Yes, I am only 5’ tall, so it is what it is. Everything was modern, well decorated, and I loved the oversized shower. There were plenty of towels for three adults and the beds are super comfortable. Another note is that there were no oven mitts, but we made do with dish towels. The location was fantastic. It is a beautiful and quick walk to the beach. The equipment rental provided beach chairs and a bike for my husband to putter around. We enjoyed shopping at local shops, visiting the historic sites, and great seafood (just recommendations were spot on). My dog, Winnie, enjoyed the beach, and my lazy dog, Iris, enjoyed the screened in porch. As a fun feature, the porch incorporates a live tree. I hope to visit here again and would stay at this home again if available. Thanks for some great family memories!

This is a lovely cottage -- Excellent location, super clean and well appointed with comfortable beds, nice sitting area, fluffy towels, pans that actually are nice to cook with, sharp knives, and simple, uncluttered space. The host was very responsive, and the location is superb. We spent the days riding bikes and walking the beach. Such a great vacation. This is a duplex, though, so we had to endure inconsiderate neighbors who left their anxious dog for hours in the evening, which meant our quiet time was not very peaceful. Also, in the future, we will rent our bikes from the Putt Putt place or just bring our own -- the VayKay deal was a disaster that included messed up tires, awkwardly positioned seats, and flat tires! A solution was available -- the next day. Didn't ruin our trip, but lesson learned. Also, be sure you go to the grocery before you come to the island, because leaving the island will require paying to re-enter. All in all, this is a wonderful place to stay and Jekyll Island is a gem of a place.
