Dieses West Beach Haus, in 174 Marsh Hawk Lane gelegen, hat einen offenen Grundriss, Holzböden im gesamten, 3 Schlafzimmer, 2. 5 Badezimmer und ist ein sehr komfortabler Ort für Familie und Freunde zusammen zu genießen, und es ist nur ein 4- Minuten Fahrradfahrt zum Strand.

Der gemütliche Wohnbereich bietet ein großes gemütliches Sofa, 2 Stühle, einen Flachbild-TV und Zugang zum hinteren Deck. Die voll ausgestattete Küche verfügt über weiße Schränke, viel Ablagefläche, eine Insel mit 2 Barhockern und Küchengeräten aus Edelstahl. Genießen Sie Mahlzeiten am Tisch direkt neben der Küche mit Platz für 4 Personen oder dem formellen Esstisch neben dem Wohnzimmer mit Platz für 6 Personen. Das Schlafzimmer im ersten Stock verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett, Flachbild-TV und ein eigenes, aktualisierten Badezimmer mit einer großen begehbaren Dusche und einer Bank. Der erste Stock wird durch ein halbes Badezimmer und einen Waschraum abgeschlossen.

Beautiful home in a beautiful place

We loved the property and had a great family vacation. The home is lovely and convenient to the beach. We enjoyed biking and experiencing the shops and restaurants on the island as well as Charleston. It was our first time on the island and we would definitely return.

Decks very dirty - need cleaning, very moldy smell in house - get some air purifiers - furniture and decor beat and dated, Bikes would not fit in designated area required by hoa, For what we paid for three nights - poor value - would not rent again. Thanks 😊

Perfect home for a perfect vacation

This house is extremely comfortable. We loved the semi private deck in the rear of the home with a view of the golf course. There was plenty of room for 5 adults to spread out. The kitchen was well equipped. This rental comes with a credit for "beach gear". We chose 5 bikes and corn hole. We used all of it! Our favorite was riding the bikes on the beach during low tide. Also, there are miles of bike paths on the island that we explored. We highly recommend this home and would definitely book again!

Beware of Roaches

This was our first trip to Kiawah. The size of the house was perfect for our family and my daughter's friend who joined us. Our first impression was ---WOW!!! How nice!!! I was nervous about staying at the house because right before we left I saw a new online review stating that there were roaches and ants in the house. The reviewer also stated that the house needed a deep cleaning. Of course, we couldn't back out because we had paid in full. Once we arrived on Saturday we noticed an ant problem in the kitchen by the sink. Maintenance quickly stopped by that evening with ant traps. By Sunday, we were visited by a couple of roaches every night of our stay (I took videos). I notified property management on Monday and they offered to spray, but noted that they only had toxic spray. Given I had young ladies in the house and I was responsible for someone else's child, I requested that they send pest control so that the problem could be addressed by a professional with non-toxic spray. The pest control person did not get out there until Wednesday afternoon -- halfway through our stay. After I complained to guest services personnel and manager, Aker Ellis finally gave us a $1000 discount on our stay, but ultimately claimed that this was just native to the islands given the moisture and rain. Funny thing is I talked to several local residents and guests who have visited the area for over 30 years and they told me that they have never seen roaches (only an occasional palmetto bug) in their rental/personal property. The house is simply dirty. The bed linen and couches had spots; there are spider webs throughout the house. The pest control person said the webs are a housekeeping issue. Aker Ellis offered to clean again but, quite frankly, with COVID on the rise and the fact that they had an opportunity to clean before we arrived, I declined. Luckily, I had brought my own cleaning supplies and linen. I have done my research and I have contemplated contacting the property owner (she purchased the property in Jan 2021) as I think she needs to know that the property management team is not handling her property well. It's too bad as we do plan to make Kiawah an annual trip - we simply wont stay at this house nor will we use Aker Ellis in the future. This is my first time using VRBO as well as Aker Ellis, which is listed as a premiere host. I struggle to understand the "premier host" label as this was anything but a premiere experience.

We are sorry to hear of your continued disappointment. As you stated, our team did come out right away to assist with the ants once they were reported. When you called about a couple of cockroaches on Monday, our team worked to get pest control out to the home. Unfortunately, the company contracted for this home was not available. We contacted several companies throughout a couple of days and were finally able to find someone with availability, which came out on Wednesday. On Monday, we provided a partial refund due to the issues you experienced upon arrival which we worked to remedy and offered to address further. As we were unable to get pest control to the home until Wednesday, we provided another partial refund. As the pest control technician advised after their visit, there were no signs of the infestation that had been claimed. As stated at the time, Palmetto bugs as well as others are native to the barrier island, and in such weather will find ways inside. It is not indicative of cleanliness, simply the environment. We do have quarterly treatments done to all of the homes on our program in an attempt to keep as many of the pests outside as possible. I can advise that the home has been booked for every week throughout a long summer. I am pleased to say that the vast majority of guests have very much enjoyed your stay. Please again allow us to apologize for the issues you experienced with the unit. We sincerely hope that you enjoyed your time on the island otherwise.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first trip to Kiawah Island. We loved the island and the size and location of the home was perfect for my family of 5. The beach was just a 5 minute bike ride away. Night Heron Park was convenient as well. We loved being able to ride our bikes to the fireworks on July 4. The house could use a deep cleaning and a linen refresh. The couches were stained, there were stains on the sheets and towels and we had an ant infestation in the kitchen and master bathroom and found several roaches as well. It’s a beautiful home but needs some TLC. We would most likely choose another home to stay in when we come to visit next.

Nice property, but internet and cable weren't working

The property was just as expected. Nice space, well decorated and comfortable with plenty of seating and comfortable beds. Unfortunately we had no internet access the entire time we were there. We reported it in the beginning but it never got fixed. The first 2/3 of the week we also did not have any cable or tv access of any kind. It was taken care of by wednesday.

Great vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house. House is in a great location, quiet neighborhood with a golf course view. It’s an easy 5 min. bike ride to the beach. Kitchen was nicely stocked and had empty cabinets for food which is a plus. Two “complaints” no tv in first floor bedroom as advertised and upstairs king one teenager thought was too hard so they swapped with a sibling. We will definitely stay here again.

Excellent!

This house was just perfect for our family of 5. The house is beautifully decorated and fully stocked with everything we needed. Location is a short 5 minute bike ride away from the beach. We will definitely come back!

Perfect Holiday Vacation

This was our second year spending Christmas on Kiawah Island and it was wonderful! We have rented many homes on Kiawah and Seabrook for holidays and Summer and this home was one of my favorites. It’s was the perfect size for our family of five (kids 22,20,17). This home is actually bigger than many you will find for the price on Kiawah...and it’s beautiful! The location is great...not too far from Freshfields and biking distance to the beach. The view out the back is a lovely golf course view and the house is so bright and cheerful. The beds were very comfy, the master shower was amazing (it’s big enough for 2), and everything was very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed biking and exploring the island on Christmas Day and played corn hole in the driveway. We love Kiawah during Christmas. It’s so quite and the drive into Charleston is so easy. We drove in to shop Christmas Eve and ate lunch a French cafe. Then drove back into downtown again later that evening for our, now traditional, Christmas Eve dinner at Amen Street. I would most definitely recommend this lovely home. It’s the perfect size, the perfect location, and the perfect place for a family to enjoy time together! Thank you to Akers Ellis for making the entire process easy and for the cute dolphin Christmas ornament. We’ll be back!!

Great vacation

Our family vacation was perfect; the weather, bike riding, and the beach. The house was fantastic; the golf course view was beautiful, the house was very pretty, and a well stocked kitchen. It is a quick bike ride to the beach, and not too far to walk to the beach. It was very relaxing and just what my family needed! Would stay here again.

Nice home

Quiet peaceful area. The house was clean and very nice. Beds were comfortable. Beautiful view. Would stay again!

Amazing Stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is great! We loved the relaxing on the back deck (with a view of the golf course) and walking and biking to the beach and Marsh View Tower. Our week went way too quickly and we were sad to leave. However, we hope to return to 174 Marsh Hawk again soon!
