I'm sure this place can be great, but we had bad luck. First, the host messaged us with directions to the wrong vacation rental. We arrived at night, and found it was not clean. We texted her, but she didn’t respond that night (probably too late at night), so we had to sleep there, even though there weren't enough beds. In the morning the host called us w/ directions to the right house. We packed & moved. That house was clean.The next morning was Christmas Eve. It rained a lot, and the electricity went out. We texted the host about it, and she said there was nothing she could do, but that it shouldn't be out long. By evening, full power was still not on, and there were no candles or flashlights in the house. We had drive around to find a store that was open on Christmas Eve that carried candles. Weirdly, half the electricity was on (including the microwave and lights in the bedrooms), but the half that was off included the fridge (with all of our meats) and the water pump to all taps, toilets, and showers. After several hours of this, we texted the host to ask if this was normal. She said no, but that we should just wait till the next morning and hope it would return. Next morning (Christmas), there was still no power to flush toilets, take showers, or wash dishes. We texted the host about the problem at 6.30 a.m. We packed up and headed out in search of working toilets, and we got no response from her until after 9 a.m., when she messaged "safe travels" and to book again.
