Unsere Wohnung hat eine fantastische Lage und einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den Karibischen Ozean, da es ein Oceanside Eigentum ist, wo Sie den Komfort unseres lokalen Strandes haben, Zugang zur Innenstadt (typische mexikanische Restaurants, Lebensmittelgeschäfte, Bars, etc.), innerhalb eines 5 Minuten zu Fuß von der Isla Mujeres Fährhafen und haben alle Sehenswürdigkeiten der Hotelzone (Hotels, Restaurants, Wet-n-Wild, Fähren, etc.) innerhalb einer kurzen Fahrt. Sie können das Beste von Cancún für jeden Geschmack innerhalb von 10 bis 20 Minuten von Ihrem Ferienhaus zu bieten haben!

Die Wohnung ist Teil der "Amara" -Entwicklung. In Amara finden Sie schöne Gärten, Grillplätze, einen fantastischen großen Poolbereich am Meer, eine wunderschöne Palapa im Pool und am Strand.

Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig (130 m2 = 1.400 sqr Fuß) mit 2 Schlafzimmern und 2 Bädern. Wir haben auch einen TV-Bereich, Esszimmer und Wohnzimmer, alle mit herrlichem Blick auf den Ozean. Einer unserer Favoriten Bereiche der Wohnung ist unsere große Terrasse (14 m2 = 150 sqr Fuß) mit einer unglaublichen Aussicht (wie Sie aus einigen der Fotos und lesen Sie von unseren Bewertungen) des karibischen Ozeans, Isla Mujeres und Cancun's Hotel Zone (wir werden nie müde, einen Morgenkaffee oder ein nachmittags Glas Wein mit dieser Aussicht zu haben).

Wenn Sie unsere Wohnung mieten, erhalten Sie alles, was Sie für Ihre tägliche Erfahrung benötigen: Handtücher, Bettwäsche, Geschirr, Gläser, Tassen, Besteck usw. Wir haben auch Wasch- und Trockenmaschinen, um Ihren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Sicherheit in der Anlage ist sehr gut, da wir ein privates Sicherheitsteam haben, das 24 Stunden am Tag vor Ort arbeitet. In Bezug auf Lebensmittel, haben wir einen Supermarkt auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite und ein Walmart Lebensmittelgeschäft (Superama, sehr ähnlich wie ein Publix in den USA) innerhalb von 5 Minuten mit dem Auto.

Unser Hausverwalter macht das Einchecken und Auschecken zu einem sehr einfachen Erlebnis und kann Ihnen bei Fragen oder Bedürfnissen behilflich sein, die Sie während Ihres Aufenthalts bei uns haben könnten.

Wir glauben wirklich, dass wir Ihnen eine großartige Erfahrung bieten können, mit einer fantastischen Lage in einem brandneuen Komplex zu einem sehr erschwinglichen Preis. Sie können sich unsere Bewertungen ansehen, Leute, die bei uns geblieben sind, waren sehr glücklich.

Familien sind sehr willkommen in unserer Wohnung, mit Kindern jeden Alters. Für Gruppen nur für Erwachsene (keine Eltern im Grouo), haben wir aufgrund der Statuten unseres Gebäudes eine Altersbeschränkung von 25 Jahren für alle Erwachsenengruppen. Dies ist eine Nichtraucher-Eigenschaft.

Great place to stay!

We had a very pleasant stay, The apartment was very clean and enough space to accommodate all in our group, the complex is kept Very clean at all times. Owner made all the reservation process very easy and responding to all questions really quick even made a word document with different suggestions on what to do in the area, directions, etc. Apartment manager (Bego) was on time waiting for us to provide details on the apartment at check in, There was a couple of items we had questions on the following day and she was always available on her cell phone. We would definitely return in the future!

Excellent Place

I really recommend this place. I give it a 5 stars because I had no issues at all with the condo. Pool was very clean and pool water temperature was great. We enjoyed the pool every night and happy it closed at 11pm. Ultramar Ferry was like 5 min walk from the condo. Puerto Santo restaurant is a great place to eat. Bego was very helpful and was able to answer all my questions and concerns and will reply back quick. I will definitely be staying here again.

The condo was very spacious but needed attention. The furnishings were a bit worn: vanity trim falling off, shower scum apparent, cracked dishes. The price was very good so if you are able to overlook these issues then it is a great place to stay. The exterior of the property was well maintained.

Hi Nikki, Thank you for staying with us for your holidays. We are always working (and investing) in having our condo up to date. As an example, these last 3 months we have added a brand new washing and drying machines, new furniture for our balcony (our favorite spot during our holidays there), brand new duvets & bed sheets, etc. Our family spends our holidays there, so we are very interested to have the best possible comfort and equipment. I am sorry that you have such a different opinion vs all our guests (as shown in our reviews) and that you did not address these issues with us during your stay. Great stay!

Lovely property for our spring vacation. Very close to the ferry. BTW you can get very good exchange rate at the ferry terminal, much better than the airport. Isla Mujeres is a must visit if you stay here. Round trip ferry ride is about ten dollars per person. The North beach is just lovely. We arranged private tours to Xcaret and Chichen Itza and did not rent a car. Suprarama by Walmart is very close by and cost seventy peso one way by taxi. The property is very clean with beautiful view. The on site restaurant just changed vendors and the owner is super nice.

The property is beautiful, condo is as pictured. Restraunt on site is in expensive and good food. Beach is not for sunning. Lots of fishermen, more of a boat landing. Pool is wonderful. A bit of Spanish is needed for getting around the area. Most travel needs to be by car or taxi. A bit far from hotel zone. Great place if you plan to spend at condo and go to the island. Owner of Restraunt speaks English and is very helpful. Very secure and safe property. Great for relaxing and hanging by the pool. I would return.

Excellent Condo with Views and Peace

The condo is spacious for our family of 6 adults. All the amenities are excellent including security. We had a great time at Amara. First two days we enjoyed the facilities such as pool, beach walking (although small) and walking up to Ferries. The Fish market and Fruit market are in walking distance. We found delicious Mangos, Custard Apples and Avocados at a very reasonable cost. It is highly advisable to have a rental car because most of the tour buses to places of interest leave from the hotel zone. Although there are Taxis on the main street, it is difficult to communicate unless you know Spanish. Lorena, the owner was very helpful in providing information and assistance. She responds to requests fast by mail and you could reach her easily by phone. We highly recommend this condo for families planning to spend quite time and enjoy the beauty of Cancun.

Nice large clean place with nice views

Nice large clean condo with nice views of the property and ocean. The condo is in a secure condo community, large beautiful pool, cabana, on site restaurants. Large deck with great view. The location is approximately 15 miles from Cancun which is not a problem is you have a car. Direct route on major roads. Wal-Mart supermarket is a mile away. The only problem with the condo was the degrees of the hot water. We wanted it hotter so they turned up the water heater. The only additional problem was the lack of hot water in the kitchen unless you first turn on the hot water in the guest first. We reported the problem. Lorena was very nice and accommodating. This was a good value unless you want to be on hotel zone. Very safe, substantial security.

DON'T RENT THIS PLACE... IT'S DISGUSTING

I've stayed in several short-stay rentals. I usually choose the cheaper places because I prefer to spend my money on excursions. So, I'm not surprised when the place that I rent is a little outdated... but this place was filthy and infested with ants. There also was no hot water in either of the bathrooms. All of the walls were white and dirty. The glass shower door were so filthy that you couldn't see through them and the shower floors were slimey. The blue dish drain in the picture is covered in mildew and the utensils had food caked on them. I wish this review allowed me to post pictures because I took several. DON'T RENT THIS PLACE!!!

Kay, We are sorry that you have had those impressions of our condo. We are very much surprised that you never contacted us about any issue, if things were as bad as to write this review I would have certainly contacted the owners immediately and would not have stayed there a single night. Instead of that, you never told us anything, did not complained about anything and stayed at the condo for the 4 nights you booked. Secondly, we invest a lot of time (and money) in having our condo constantly renovated, as we also stay there with our 3 kids. As can be seen in the reviews here at VRBO and other sites, our properties are very highly regarded. We would have appreciated some communication from your side as it would have allowed for an opportunity to solve any issue. Lorena

Beautiful ocean front property!

We enjoyed our stay at Amara Condos. Bego was very accommodating and friendly. As mentioned in previous posts, be sure to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. In addition, if you wish to do any laundry, be sure to bring some detergent packets or be prepared to buy some at the market. Unfortunately for us, we had 4 straight days of rain due to a tropical storm, but that was a unique experience in and of itself. We enjoyed looking out to the ocean and were happy with our stay. The bar staff were great and really friendly. The beach is not really a beach. It seems like sand is poured on cement, but the pool is amazing. If it were better weather, we would have used it much more! It would be nice to have a rack for hand towels in the bathrooms and a rack or shelf in the shower so that you do not have to put items on the floor. The master bathroom shower was clogged. I was quickly standing in a large puddle of water, but my husband was able to clear it on our 2nd day.

Nice place

Our stay at Amara cancun condos was excellent! It just felt like home with all the amenities the condo had. We enjoyed the bedrooms as it was very comfortable. The kitchen had all the gadgets we needed. The living room was a good size for our 2 year old to run around. The view from the balcony was simply spectacular. We did not rent a car after we saw the driving situation in cancun and hired a cab for our travels. The taxis are reasonably priced if you can bargain. I would recommend learning basic spanish for numbers and alphabets that helps for you to tell them how much you think is a good price. We tried the gym and loved the view from the treadmill :) . The pool was really nice and not much crowded. Good security. One recommendation is that you remember the apartment number and it will be easier getting into the community. The security guards were very polite and helpful (they called our taxis). It was quite a saga getting into cancun and we were very late while we arrived at the property. We were 2 groups flying different airlines and ended up in 2 terminals. The cell phones were not functional and we had to spend a lot of time trying to group together. The property manager was very patient and waited until we reached there. She was also reachable through whatsapp whenever i had questions. I recommend this place.

Adequate Condo in Secluded, Beautiful Location

Most important: If you don't speak Spanish, we DO NOT recommend this location. We relied on Google Translate to communicate with guards, taxi drivers, etc, which was challenging. This location is relatively secluded in a residential area and a 20 min taxi ride to Hotel Zone, which will cost $15 US each way. The condo community is very secure with two guard stations. The guards were very helpful. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the facility is extremely clean. The pool is awesome! The restaurant is experiencing growing pains, but has the potential to be nice in the future. Food is average and service is slow right now. The beachfront is VERY small and rough. This was a disappointment for us. The condo is adequate, spacious & clean. The condo had some maintenance issues that we are bringing to the attention of owner since property manager did not respond to our inquiries. The view of the ocean and grounds from our balcony was outstanding. There was a constant warm breeze that was relaxing and peaceful. The ferry is a 10 min walk away, which is convenient. Otherwise, there is nothing to do in this area. We would recommend this location to adult travelers who are looking for a getaway that is secluded from typical vacation activities. It is not suitable for those who want to spend time on the beach and have access to conveniently located restaurant options.

We are very close to everything in the hotel zone (a 15-20 minute ride depending on your destination), next door to the ferry station that allows you to visit probably the most beautiful beaches in all of the Cancn & Riviera Maya zone as is Playa Norte in Isla Mujeres, and also take advantage of being in a calm zone with everything you need to relax and be at your own pace (as you mention, beautiful gardens, great pool area, a secluded beach, etc). If you add to this our fantastic views, which, as yourself, have been highlighted in their reviews, we think you have a lot to enjoy. This is the first time we hear of someone experiencing a communication (language) issue within our premises, the vast majority of our guests have valued the eagerness to help and fantastic service attitude of everyone involved in our condo area. Probably this is a very personal experience, we are sorry if you found it to be an inconvenience. We appreciate your feedback regarding the minor maintenance issues (changing a garbage can, painting a wall) and we will take care of it as we want our guests to have the best experience possible. Worst VRBO we ever stayed at

Where do I begin? Our stay was close to being a nightmare. Every day it was something else. The first night we showered and the water stunk. It took us 5 to 10 minutes to get hot water while we were there and then halfway through the shower the water would be cold. The kitchen was greasy and the cooking ware had dry food on it. We had a smidge of salt and no pepper but we hesitated to use it anyway because the shakers were so dirty. One morning there was a pool of water at the entrance to the master bedroom. We couldn’t figure out where the water had come from because it was in the middle of no water source. We left for a few hours and came back to find three people cleaning up the water. Then we had no water at all for a few hours. The showers definitely needed to be recaulked and one of the fixtures fell off when we were trying to use the shower. The microwave was in the dining room which was quite inconvenient and the mop and bucket and other cleaning utensils were in a corner of the kitchen. There was an no curtain or anything to hide them they just were right out in the open. The dish strainer was covered in water residue as was the counter and some food was in it also. We actually ended up buying a new pan to make breakfast in. After the water incident we tried to get a hold of the property manager who had said she was going to be coming over that evening but she never came and we were unable to reach her by phone for the remainder of our stay. You need to be aware that if you want to watch TV but do not speak Spanish you’re out of luck. The lightbulb in the master bathroom with burnt out and the hairdryer in the master bathroom was broken. We left two days early and stayed in a hotel. . this is not a place that you would enjoy staying at in the conditions that we experienced.

We are so sad that there are so many inconsistencies within your review, starting by the fact that you never contacted us and that you did not leave the condo in the date that you mentioned. The only issue that you communicated to our property manager was taken care, which was a small condensation due to you leaving the air-conditioning on with the balcony and windows open (we will not get into the great waste of energy this caused). TV has all the apps (Netflix, Amazon, Disney +, etc) that are easily configurable in any language you wish, as well as the cable TV service. Once again, you never contacted us about you not knowing how to use them. The comment about the mop/bucket location (a first in all our years as hosts) is very confusing for us, since those items are properly located in the kitchen completely out of the view. We as a family used the condo the very next days after your check-out, not finding any of the imperfections/problems that you mention (a small example, the hairdryer was used by all family members without an issue). We are sorry that communication about this supposed issues came through a review and never during your stay, which made it impossible to try to explain simple things (like the language issues in Netflix, Amazon or cable TV) or advice you not to leave windows and balcony open when using the air-conditioning. We trust future guests will find our many positive reviews as a guide on the conditions of the condo, since, as we mentioned, we use it for our own family and have high standards so both our guests and ourselves have a wonderful time at Cancun.

Impressive property, perfect for Spanish speaking family of 3-5

We enjoyed our stay at Amara condominiums. The unit was very spacious and the view from the patio balcony is incredible. Having a kitchen was very convenient and the bathrooms were updated and very accommodating. The pool area is remarkable and never crowded while we were there. Humberto was very quick to answer and gracious when we had questions prior to our travel. Understanding that we were in Mexico and the official language is Spanish, I was under the impression that English was commonly spoken at the condominium complex, at least to some degree. If you do not speak Spanish this may not be the vacation rental for you. I speak limited Spanish but NO ONE on property spoke English nor were they interested in taking time to work with me to figure out what we needed. We spent the first two hours of our vacation looking for someone to get us onto the property (not one Of the guards spoke English and were quick to tell us we couldn't come into the property) or into the unit (once we got onto the property no one knew who/where the property manager was and when we did find someone she did not speak a word of English). We were told the property manager we expected was assisting another guest and that it was the gate guards' first day on the job, but I have a hard time believing it was everyone's first day and I never did meet Bego, the property manager I had spoken with previously. Forget asking for directions to anything. After about 3 days of coming and going the gate guards stopped giving us a hard time. I guess they finally recognized us. We very much enjoyed the ferry to Isla Mujeres and our visit there. It was an incredible day. The ferry is within walking distance but I wouldn't recommend it. My family did not feel safe enough to walk there. If you stay at this property and intend to see much of Cancun you will need to rent a car, which is an experience in itself. Overall, a very nice property but if you do not speak Spanish or do not intend to brave driving the colorful streets of the city you should probably consider staying at a property in the hotel zone where there is readily available public transportation and an English speaking concierge or manager.

Hi Lisa, Thank you for choosing us for your holidays. We were very happy that you had a nice time at our condo. We absolutely agree regarding the stunning views from the terrace and the convenience of the fully equipped kitchen. Also, Isla Mujeres is our favorite spot in the whole Cancun-Riviera Maya area and having the ferries within a 5-7 minute walk makes it a very easy day trip. I am sorry that your arrival was not as easy and seamless as it has been for the majority of our guests (US, Canadian, English, Italian, French, German and many other nationalities that have been our guests) as, it was a very particular moment as we had a change of the security company of the complex and it was their first day at the complex (that is the reason everyone was new). The issue of having a new company supervising security was just a temporary inconvinience that has been solved after a couple of weeks of them being at the complex. Let me start by saying we stayed for a month.... and yes I would return :-)

The unit is on the 5th floor and has both East and West beautiful views. The morning sun on the patio and the evening city lights out the west facing bedroom windows. The condo is just as shown, it is very spacious, with room on the floor for odds and ends, such a back packs, pool toys etc. There are no extras such as a hair dryer, shampoo, lotion laundry soap, etc. There was internet in the unit... Big Bonus!!!! Yay!!! There is also internet around the pool but it did drop connection every time we were down there :-( Oh my bad on the extras, there was a cooler on wheels available to keep your drinks and foods cold when sitting by the pool) There are two large sectional couches to relax on, one as seen in pictures looks out to the beautiful view. The other one is actually located closer to the entry door and faces the large flat screen TV. This has a pull out ottoman which could also convert this couch into a bed, but there is no extra bedding. On the TV, the channel guide is tricky as some channels in the guide will show the title in spanish but when you turn to that channel the show is spoken in english.. We watched a lot of the channels in the 200's & 400's also note that the prime time shows come on late. Hubby also watched hockey everyday, I don't know what that channel was.. lol Do not adjust the shower drain... The biggest Cockroach I have ever seen came up the drain and scared the crap out of me!... "No I didn't open it," my husband did.... He's always touching stuff :-) and has me scolding him after. :-) lol The water presser was low one day but I think that was due to the power outage which only lasted a hour or so... if that? The patio is very large and comfortable with beautiful views of the hotel zone. We spent many nights out there watching the lit up Captan Hook cruise ship float by around 7pm. It boards nearby as does the Isla Mujeurs ferries. (walkable) We had two in our party and had we had more people in our party I would have preferred a extra set of towels.. Maybe even the large beach towels from Costco. The walk to the pool was closer than the pics make it look. Nice gym with ocean view! Suggestions for this condo, add a hair dryer, some microwaveable bakeware pans, 2 bikes (which could be purchased used), larger beach towels, pool/beach toys/floaties, a small hand broom to sweep off the couches. (I only suggest these items as I met a lot of other visitors and their units had some if not all of these for the same price.)

We love so much the view from the balcony that when you describe it we want to be there, either sipping a hot coffee in the morning or a fine wine at night. As you mentioned, we have taken care so that our visitors have an WiFi connection as well as a vast array of TV channels so they can have the best of times in our condo. We also love the gym by the beach, a great view to stimulate you during your exercise routine. We greatly appreciate your recommendations regarding adding some items to the condo and will be taking some action regarding those ideas. Sehr schöne Aussicht aber Appartement im schlechten Zustand

Das Appartement ist groß und hat eine tolle Aussicht allerdings ist es im sehr schlechten Zustand und muss dringend renoviert werden. Der Herd war sehr schmutzig voller Fettflecken und Pfannen und Töpfe gehören entsorgt. Kein einziges Willkommensgeschenk.

Eric, Nos extraña muchísimo tu calificación y comentarios pues estuvimos en constante contacto contigo antes y durante tu estancia y jamás nos mencionaste problema alguno. Nuestro apartamento lo mantenemos vigente constantemente, un ejemplo es la reciente renovación del cuarto de baño de la habitación principal. También, el equipamiento de la cocina es totalmente nuevo. Los reviews que tenemos en esta y otra plataformas son excelentes, y siempre buscamos que nuestros huéspedes tengan la mejor experiencia posible. Ojalá nos hubieras contactado para aclarar los puntos que mencionas y ayudar a que tuvieras una mejor estancia.

Wonderful view and nice pool area

We loved how clean the place was and how fast the property manager answered when we had a question. The gardens and the pool area were also very nice. We had kids with us so it was a little frustrating when we found out that we couldn’t have inflatables in the pool (it was almost empty most of the time!). We couldn’t use the gym although the listing offered the gym as one of its perks (the manager explained that this was a new rule). The convenience store right across the street from the condo came in handy since there is not a lot to walk to... we didn’t rent a car but public transportation and taxis made it easier. Was also great to have the boat to Isla Mujeres so close. Overall, we had a nice experience and the cost/benefit was fair.

Third time staying there and very disappointed!!!

This place used to be very nice 5 years ago but it is a mismanaged s*** hole now. First off there is no spraying for mosquitoes and they will eat you alive inside your condo or out. Second this place has more rules than a convent!!! Security will not let you play with any beach ball or play any kind of music by the pool. The condo me and my family ( total of 11 people) had ants inside rooms. There was also a natural gas leak that some residents did not have gas for a couple of days. The pool looked like they barely serviced it!! All in all. I will stop recommending this place and will be my last time staying there. I was told by a couple of security guards that some owners that reside there don’t really like them renting out to VRBO. Don’t spend your time or money on this place. There are very similar prices even in the hotel zone.

It is a shame that you wrote so many lies when not a single message or request was sent by you to us or our property manager who was there available 24/7. Luckily, people can read all of our reviews. You have never stayed with us before, you lie about the number of people staying at the condo (we would never have that amount of people at the condo), and with so many other things not even worth mentioning. We hope you do not do these kind of negligent reviews to other people.

Enjoyed our stay!

Great location and accommodations! We were 4 ladies enjoying a short vacation and I truly appreciated the security at this condo. Security at the front gate and security in the building where the condo was located. The grounds were beautiful and so was the pool. It was nice having a bar/cafe right by the pool and the restaurant just a few steps down the beach was wonderful! The condo itself had everything you need for a great stay and the view was wonderful. This place is not located in the Hotel district which I enjoyed because of the peace and quiet. The ferry was just a couple block from the condo, comfortable walking distance which was great since we went to the island for a day trip. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Fabulous location, great view wonderful condo!

The Amara Cancun is a great location with wonderful amenities. The condo is large and comfortable with good internet access. We really enjoyed our stay the beds were comfortable, view amazing, kitchen appliances and washer/dryer were new. There is everything you will need for a great vacation in Cancun. Near the hotel zone, the Puerto Juarez Ultra Mar ferry dock, El Meco ruins and Isla Blanca

This very centric location allows for everything from snorkeling to fish taco hunting within a 10 to 20 minute drive. The property has an amazing pool area, beautiful gardens, a private beach and fitness center.

So you can either spend your days without going out or go to any top Cancun destination (both touristy as well as very local).
