The location is amazing. Walking distance to everything. Parking was easy even with time limits. Host was very responsive. This might not be the best stay if you have mobility issues (lots of stairs and climbing in and out of the boat) but if you want a unique experience I highly recommend.

Great place ! Spacious for a boat. Clean and easy access. A little hard to find because the markings on the floor outside the boat are faded but other than that it was a great stay. Easy walk to the ferry and town. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to stay on your boat.

This was a unique experience that we thoroughly enjoyed. We arrived and enjoyed winding down on the deck watching the sun bounce off the water. We walked into town for a nice dinner and strolled main street for a bit. The beds were comfortable and we got a good night sleep. The Lighthouse Cafe was across the street making it convenient for our early morning start. Although the view to San Francisco wasn't clear there many lights that lit up the landscape at night. Would definitely do this again.

The host was extremely welcoming and accommodating! My husband and I had a wonderful wonderful experience staying on the boat for 2 nights. The bed is comfortable and the shower is hot - as minimum requirements. But this stay offers so SO much more! A serene and relaxing “deck” overlooking the bay and the beautiful skyline. Incredibly convenient location to anything you want on Sausalito. Highly recommend this stay and this host!

What a delightful experience! This is by far the best rental I've ever booked. The boat was spacious, gorgeous, clean. Location was perfect, communication a breeze. And TWO bathrooms to boot! I wish I had stayed longer than three nights. HIGHLY recommend.

Super cool experience, my 9 yr old son and I loved it and we will always remember it. I wasn’t sure if it had a fridge or coffee maker and it had both (if anyone else if trying to figure that out). If anyone else in your party wakes up over tiny noises, you might want to bring ear plugs as even the gentle water against the boat woke me a little the first night but not the second (but I wake at anything). The views cant be beat, and the boat is really a full house with everything you need. If you have ever thought about staying on a house boat like I always have, do it, I don’t know why I waited so long. We will be back.

Well-appointed comfortable yacht with two (!) bathrooms. We were first-timers for an overnight boat experience and the Alameda Star was a delight. Host Kimberly provided detailed helpful information about the yacht, as well as local recommendations for restaurants, spas for massage and logistics for walking the Golden Gate Bridge. Awesome views of the water from the yacht’s deck. The yacht’s harbor slip has not dock or ships behind it, so fantastic lights, hills and sea birds on view for relaxing while on deck.

The property was as described in the listing. The old school wooden interior was very charming and clean. We were not able to stay on the boat for more than 30 minutes due to family members feeling 'seasick' from the movement on being on a boat. The surrounding boats are not as nice as this one and most do not leave the marina and look like an old neighborhood.The biggest issue will be parking. All the parking lots require permits and must be purchased separately from the local police department for about 150 which is a few blocks away from the area. I would not mention VRBO or rental to anyone. The locals and police are not too keen on the idea.Kimberly was very responsive to communication, and this is a unique property for a stay, but be ready for the parking challenges and the movement.
