Betreten Sie diese historische und surreale große 2-Zimmer-Wohnung im Erdgeschoss, direkt gegenüber vom Alten Gefängnis. Die Wohnung ist komplett möbliert und komplett ausgestattet und ist nur 2 bis 3 Gehminuten von den Bars, Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten entfernt.

Die Küche und das Wohnzimmer haben gewölbte Decken mit original Kupferdecken aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. Der Speisesaal verfügt über eingebaute Paneele aus Quarz, Amethyst, Citrin und anderen Steinen, die vom örtlichen, halbbekannten Künstler Jon McCoy (

Ein reservierter Stellplatz ist auf dem Grundstück verfügbar. Bei Bedarf ist ein zweiter Parkplatz 150 Meter entfernt.

Loved our stay

Made a quick trip to Jim Thorpe and this was an ideal place to stay. Walking distance to everything and beautiful apartment. Hosts were extremely nice and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay in Jim Thorpe

We have stayed at this apartment several years in a row. It is clean, well stocked, pet friendly, and plenty of space. It is an easy walk to shops and restaurants. We will definitely stay again next year!

Fantastic two-day trip to Jim Thorpe

This is a one-of-a-kind property and we LOVED it. We wished we could stay longer! The hosts were so welcoming and everything was sparkling clean and so cleverly decorated and how cool to have the old jail right out the living room windows! We can't wait to go back.

Wonderful Home

This was our second time staying here and won’t be our last. Quiet location and the host, Jeffery, is always helpful and very thorough. We have recommended Jeffery’s place to many friends who have stayed in Jim Thorpe.

Great place for friends to gather

We enjoyed this house. It has unique style and is very well designed with everything you might need. The outdoor spaces invite you to sit and talk with friends. Its close to the activity of the town but is quiet at night. Free parking is a huge perk!

A magical holiday stay

My husband, dog, and I stayed here for 2 nights at Christmas. The apartment was beautiful to begin with, especially the lighted gemstone piece. But add Christmas decorations with the fireplace and it was so charming and festive! The location is perfect- it’s far enough away to avoid the tourist congestion but close enough to be able to walk everywhere, and I loved being right across from the old jail. Jim Thorpe is incredibly dog friendly, and we were able to bring our dog into many of the shops. Jeffrey also gave us great suggestions on dog friendly restaurants and bars. He also suggested to check out the grotto behind the house, and we all loved the mini hike on the hill. What a great stay! Highly recommend.

An absolute dream

I’ve been wanting to stay at this property for awhile and it was well worth the wait! Communication with the owners was easy and helpful with activity and restaurant recommendations. Lots to do and super dog friendly. Both my toddler and my dog were at ease and loved exploring the local area. Everything from the bed, to the living room, to the bathroom was amazingly comfortable. My toddler was obsessed with the crystal wall. Cannot wait to return!

A happy experience

This is a fantastic property with attention to even minute details. The owners have gone out of their way to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. It is very clean, nicely decorated an is also well stocked with everything you need for a getaway. The location is perfect; just up the street from the shops and restaurants or you can also take a quick ride and go to the State Park for all kinds of outdoor activities; there's even swimming at the lake! We've travelled quite a bit and I honestly say that this little place is hands-down our favorite. I'm so glad I found it and we will absolutely be back again-just for a longer stay next time. You're really going to love it here!

This place is awesome!

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Jim Thorpe (again). Jeffrey's place "Apartment G" was absolutely perfect. Check in was made so simple by him and we were able to just drop our bags and quickly head out to dinner. Every part of the apartment was wonderful. It was clean, equipped, warm (he had turned the heat on for us to warm it up a little bit...8-10 inches of snow the day prior!). We will definitely be returning to one of Jeffrey's properties when we visit JT again. We also ran into Chad before leaving. What an awesome dude! He was really a pleasure to talk to and we were able to learn a little bit about his background and how he got started in JT. We can't wait to go back! Thanks for a great stay!

Jim Thorpe Escape

We just love Jim Thorpe and try to “get away” there a few times a year. We’ve stayed in several B&Bs and VRBOs in many quaint and quintessentially quirky towns over the last several years. JT remains at the top of our list. So much to do! Such a friendly and “hip” town. There is something for everyone and every lifestyle. We mostly enjoy the laid back vibe, the locals and the outdoor excursions. Jeffery’s place is so conveniently located, with ample off street parking, beautiful decor and a really different experience all around. It is simply one of the best experiences we’ve had with VRBO rentals. The owner was so easy to deal with. Contactless check-in, so many helpful suggestions on restaurants, wineries, museums, galleries, things to do and places to see. His Inn Keeper, Chad is awesomely responsive. We had 1 (very minor issue on check in (TV remote was not working) and he was right there to replace it with a new one. He is also very knowledgeable about town. He is both Consierge and Inn Keeper. We are already checking our calendars to book early for another JT Jaunt at the Highstreet Guest House Apt G

Quick birthday getaway!

Our first visit to Jim Thorpe for a quick weekend birthday getaway. I would recommend this property as it is right across from the historic jail. Apt G was great! The only little thing was the bed in the bedroom closest to the kitchen, mattress has seen better days. My boyfriend and I sleep in separate beds since he snores, and the bed wasn't comfortable at all. The mattress needs replaced. Other than that little hiccup, the stay was well worth it! Jeff the property owner was quick to respond to messages, Chad the Inn Keeper was on site and was very friendly. Some of the little amenities that I thought were awesome was the heated bathroom floor! Wow! The shower was amazing! Loved the view of the historic jail from the living room window, the gas fireplace to keep us toasty since it was chilly during our stay, the awesome artwork that lit up the hall/kitchen area, the little fans placed in the bedrooms for "noise". I sleep with one at home every night so that was great! The personal parking space since the town is so small with limited parking was a perk as well as the super easy check in process. We will be back to stay in the future!

Pisces Birthday getaway

It was perfectly decorated. We loved the owls and creativity and color choices that went into creating an artsy spa like oasis in Jim Thorpe. We went to 2 shows at the Opera House St. Patsweekend it was perfect.

5 stars - Plenty of room - Parking!!

The "G" apartment was very well equipped, spacious, quiet at night, in a great location and as the title suggests, off street parking! There are actually two spaces available. There are more than enough towels and coffee. Owner even had seltzers in the frig for us. The evenings were cool and the living room was so very comfortable we looked around for a throw blanket... It was a weird shoulder season temperature (50s at night and 80s in the day) and Chad dropped off two blankets for us! The owner and property manager were excellent - check in couldn't have been easier. We see friends in Jim Thorpe and walking to the restaurants was perfect. We will be back and will stay in "G" as long as it's available. Thanks!

I am drawn to Jim Thorpe and to the Pocono's in general and am very glad to live in this amazing town surrounded by the ever changing Appalachian landscape. You cannot beat the endless miles of mountain biking and hiking trails, or the tubing, kayaking, skirmish, yoga, skiing, rivers, lakes, and fishing or the cultural and historical attractions. So close to the major east coast cities, yet worlds away!
