Stay in the garden level of an historic Victorian mansion in the heart of Jim Thorpe.

Built in the 1850s, the "Judge Allen Craig" mansion features a sunny enclosed porch surrounded by the panoramic view of West Broadway and the mountains, with French doors opening into the spacious living room. The large dining room that comfortably seats 8-10 is adjoined by a cozy breakfast room near the kitchen.

The home easily accommodates up to 10 people, with 5 bedrooms and 2 baths. (For more space, inquire about our second floor Balcony Level, https://www.vrbo.com/2203717, which has a large, newly updated kitchen, and three bedrooms that sleep up to 10). Extra air mattress, pack-n-play and toddler gate are available on site.

Off-street parking is available for up to 4 cars. We have a back yard and patio with two grills, a fire pit, and a new bike rack.

Extended Family Get Together

The 5 bedrooms on the first floor were terrific. Loved the antiques and the modern updates/touches. The living room, dining room and closed in porch were spacious and great to use for meals and gatherings. The house is located directly in town so it's easy to walk to restaurants, shops and historic sites. Parking is a little bit of an adventure but there was plenty of parking. Thanks for a great weekend!!

Another FANTASTIC stay!

This house now has a little special place in my heart and the couples that have been coming with me and hubby for a weekend here every year! You will not find a better place to stay (and we have tried many) while touring and exploring Jim Thorpe. The house is right on the main strip and in walking distance to everything! And the house itself is a dream and enhances the feeling of your stay in Jim Thorpe due to its beauty and historical history. Liza is an AMAZING host and the place is always top notch clean. Like you will not find a speck! This is the place to be if wanting an overnight or more in fantastic Jim Thorpe! Thank you Liza for ALWAYS making it a great stay! And for your quick response time this past weekend when my friend left her laptop bag there!!

Love it here!

This is our 5th year staying at this beautiful historic property in the heart of Jim Thorpe with a group of friends, and we love that every year there are new upgrades, incuding this year an adorable added powder room and expanded parking area. Liza and Brian take such great care of the maintenance and continual improvement of the house (while it always seems like it couldn't be more perfect:)) and have done a beautiful job of maintaining the historic character while also mixing in some fun modern elements. We will definitely continue to return!

Beautiful house and great location!

This is a spectacular property. The location could not be better! The house is wonderfully decorated and really comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms are nicely appointed. When you step out the front door you are in the heart of all of the best parts of Jim Thorpe. We could walk to shops and restaurants— everything! We can’t say enough about how great this spot is! And the hosts are wonderful!!

Wonderful Thanksgiving

Perfect spot to celebrate with family - immaculate Victorian house with every amenity needed for the big feast. Walking Jim Thorpe both day and night is delightful. Great shopping. Kids loved riding Santa train. All in all a great house!

Beautiful Home

This home is beautiful, well-appointed, spacious and immaculately clean. We had plenty of room to spread out with the five private bedrooms. The bathrooms were modern and sparkling clean. The dining room table was a great place to play games. The living room and sun porch were great places to gather. Perhaps best of all was the location, which was right in town. We were able to walk everywhere. Liza was a great host, responsive and helpful. Her husband Brian was doing some work on the outside of the home, and he was also very helpful with suggestions on where to go. Overall, we have no complaints and would not hesitate to recommend this home. Thank you, Liza and Brian!

Clean, comfortable, great location!

We thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Great location within walking distance of downtown Jim Thorpe, shops, and restaurants. Clean and comfortable. Loved the patio fire pit at night. We went whitewater rafting and did the treetop adventure at Blue Mountain. The host, Liza, is very responsive to any needs you may have. Highly recommend.

Bachelorette Weekend

This house was perfect to host a girls' weekend away to celebrate the bride! We had 9 girls with plenty of room to host bachelorette weekend. The kitchen was fully equipped with a large dining to host. There were plenty of seats for a comfy night in. We would definitely rent again!

Love this property and plan to return!

This is my 4th year renting the beautifully restored Judge Allen Craig Mansion with a group of friends for the Jim Thorpe Running Festival weekend. We’ve been renting both the first and second floor and it’s plenty of room for 14-16 people. The downstairs dining room nicely accommodates all of us for dinner, and the upstairs patio has an amazing view and is a perfect spot to hang out at night. It’s a well furnished, spacious, and well maintained property and we love seeing the little updates and upgrades every year as it continues to get even better. We’re already looking forward to our 2024 trip and talk about how much we love this house that we have a wait list of friends that want to join us if anyone in the regular group can’t make it 😊

AMAZING!!!

I cannot say enough things about Liza and her house. If you want a true Jim Thorpe experience then this is it!! The house is spacious and beautiful and has so much history! We stay here every year for a weekend of four couples catching up. We never feel on top of each other and the house is huge! We park and walk the whole weekend as it is literally in the main town but still quiet enough in the house you do not really hear the outside. We love having morning coffee in the front sunroom and conversation at night in the huge dining area. The house is always so clean as well and the decor is Jim Thorpe to a T! And Liza is so responsive in answering any questions!' Liza thank you for allowing us to be spoiled for a weekend in your house! You go above and beyond to make us feel welcome and we cannot wait to come back in the future!!!

Fun Getaway

The location was within walking distances of restaurants, shops & activities (trails, train, etc). The mansion was beautifully decorated with lots of room for the 7 of us. The cleanliness & availability of everything needed for an enjoyable weekend was excellent. The off-road parking was a bit tricky to navigate as the upper level gravel parking is a bit steep. Communication with our host Liza was top-notch, as she responded immediately to our every concern. Highly recommend Judge Allen Craig mansion ***
