Beautiful views!

Very friendly hosts, on site to answer any questions or give suggestions for local restaurants, bars and excursions. High on a hill overlooking beautiful shoreline, islands, boats and ocean. A couple blocks from beautiful uncrowded beaches and nice bars/ restaurants. A bit of a hill to climb to get to the facility, renting a local golf cart would make the trek easier. The water is clean and good to drink anywhere is Costa Rica. Fruit stands everywhere with safe to eat fruit available. On the warm/dry side of Costa Rica, bring your sunscreen!

Kind thanks for your rating and observations! Costa Rica is missing you! The next time you visit, we hope that Lis will be available to assist you in arranging more tours and sites of interest. The day you left, there were several whale sitings in the bay just below your Suite and several of our guests have been making the most of shoreline fishing off Flamingo point and near Las Brisas Bar/Restaurant in Potrero. To be sure, water is always safe to drink here, and the area offers a wide variety of good supermarkets, stores, fruit markets and a vast array of excellent restaurants offering every kind of cuisine! A car or golf cart would be an advantage - especially if planning on exploring this magic land! Every kind of activity is available in our area: Fishing, golfing, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, sailing, sea kayaking, standup paddling, golf, tennis , zip line tours, volcano visits, wildlife expeditions and cultural tours to name but a few...PURA VIDA!! COSTA RICA - NO ARTIFICIAL INGREDIENTS! Gracias y hasta la vista!! Tom and Igor

Playa Flamingo Rest and Relaxation

My wife and I recently spent a few days at Casa Loma in Playa Flamingo. Having never been to Costa Rica we conducted a lot of research trying to find a villa where we would find peace and rest with plenty of sunshine after a month of a nasty Winter. We have rented villas for over twenty five years in several countries and have learned to know what we like. First we want a first rate location close by the main reasons for being in the place to begin with. If we are in the South of France we want to be near the museums and the beach. In Costa Rica we wanted a good beach nearby, we got that. Costa Rica beaches can be wild, brown sand beaches with rip tides not what we were looking for at all so our research put a calm white sand beach near the top of the list. Casa Loma has that just a few minutes away. We wanted a pool so we wouldn't be forced to leave the property every time we wanted to take a dip. Casa Loma has to big beautiful pools from which to choose. We were looking for quiet in the villa where we could be together and sun, read, cook, eat and sleep without road noise and bright lights. We got all of that in Casa Loma. Maybe the most important thing we were looking for was a real villa experience not just some 2 bedroom condo built in the big building boom of the past decade. Our perspective was if we wanted Florida we would go to Florida we were looking for the kinds of villas we rent on the French Riviera but with a Central American sensibility. We got that at Casa Loma. The view from the acreage looks very similar to many we have seen from places like Nice or Villefranche looking over to Cap Ferat. The owners of Villa Loma live on the property and are very nice people and will help you out with anything you might need to deal with while there. We will very likely revisit in the future which is our best endorsement.

Looking forward to returning!

Villas Casa Loma is an exceptional place to stay in Playa Flamingo. Located about a mile from town, the views from this hillside group of villas is stunning. Our villa was spacious, with full kitchen and a porch overlooking the southern end of Playa Potrero as it meets the hilly point on which sits Flamingo, with boats speckling the bay's marina below. Renting a car is helpful, as we divided our daytime between their lovely pool and various playas - Playa Flamingo, five minutes away, lives up to its top rating! Igor and Tom, who live at the Villas, were committed to ensuring our stay went smoothly and comfortably - one really could not ask for more gracious and caring hosts. We look forward to returning!

What lovely, romantic observations, Bob & Patricia! Thank you for your visit and we hope that we will see you both again here int he not too distant future! We trust that the views will only get better as the new marina develops almost at the foot of our hillside...A lovely spot to observe the sailboats and yachts as they come and go... Along with a full-service marina will be a convention center, more fine restaurants, bars and shops. Life here continues to be PURA VIDA!! Renting a car - as you did - really does open up a huge number of great experiences, although there are several truly fine Tour Companies in the area who offer amazing day and overnight trips to fascinating locations in this warm and gentle land that we are privileged to share. The unique designs of each of our accommodations ensure that guests have the maximum of privacy along with spacious private terraces or balconies affording magic views. Beautiful spot with great gardens and great hosts.

2 couples arrived there for 8 days and had a great vacation. Nice and warm and sunny everyday. Igor and Tom were great hosts and the place is really neat. Nice little villas that all have their own charm. The guys did an incredible job with the gardens and landscaping all around the place with lots of unique touches. Pools were warm and inviting. And the restaurants in the area were all incredible. We walked out of everyone very pleased. Great vacation.

So glad that you had a great time!... That is what we are all about...Fine restaurants, unique and inviting accommodations, pools and gardens. The wildlife here is awesome, too! We just had a flock of raucious, colourful parrots rocketing byl (Our private 30+ acre preserve is home to a great variety of wildlife.) Our location makes it easy to walk to shops, supermarkets, spectacular beaches and a wide variety of land and water activities such as surfing, zip lining, fishing and scuba diving. Come for the relaxing "Pura Vida" lifestyle. Knock yourselves out with a fast game of tennis or golf and then relax on your own private terrace or by one of our inviting tropical swimming pools. Villas Casa Loma is amazing , Tom & Igor are awesome Host's . no request to big or to small . we loved our stay , the facilities are well cared for & very clean ,the pool , The grounds as well as our accommodations everything was wonderful . Bruce & I can hardly wait to come back . Excellent !! Tom & Igor are both terrific & go out of their way to take care of you .

Thanks for the kind words! Welcome back to Canada! Costa Rica is missing you both with your happy smiles and jovial laughter! Soon we will be experiencing St. Patrickès Day here with green beer and all that goes with it at Marie's Restaurant in Flamingo Beach. It will be a fun get-together which happens every year. Great social event and a super time to renew old friendships. Wish you could be here, too! We've finished the new road, gates, etc. and it is all looking wonderful! Now is time for us to start checking on the local wildlife to be sure all is well with them. Deer, coatimundi, raccoons, foxes, all manner of wildcats, monkeys, etc. living on our dry forest reserve. Beautiful, very well maintained

Located at top of a hill so beautiful views. Very safe area and beach is very close. Grocery store, bank, restaurants are all close. Pictures are accurate but even more stunning in real life. Tom and Igor live on premises and are friendly but respect your privacy. We met lots of great people around the pool from all over the world. We rented a golf cart just to get around locally but there were people that just walked everywhere. Loved Casa Loma and Costa Rica!

Simply Delightful !!!

Lush tropical vegetation complimented by songs of various species of birds - and the wildlife was astonishing! Stunning sunsets to challenge any photographer or painter! Views of lovely gardens, palms, hills and valleys and the Pacific Ocean were just a glance away from our comfortable, private and secure accommodations! Tropical woods and natural building materials added to the overall ambience of the property, which is located on a hillside only moments from the nearest beaches, restaurants, supermarkets and shops. This was our second visit and we continue to love the location and the quiet comfort. Hosts Tom and Igor are always available with suggestions for great restaurants or arranging sightseeing trips, thus adding that extra spice to our holiday experiences! (One evening at a restaurant on the beach we witnessed a Leatherback turtle laying her eggs on the sand near our table!) We watched monkeys and exotic birds, whale watched from a terrace and just vegged out. The property itself was close to a huge number of activities offered in the area, yet removed enough from the hustle and bustle to allow us the quiet, secure vacation that we were seeking. Highly recommended!

WOW! So happy to have had you here once again! After a busy season, we were finally able to kick back a bit and enjoy the St.Partick's Day celebrations (and celebrators!) at Marie's Restaurant last evening. There is always something to celebrate here in our little corner of Paradise. Please come back again and treat yourself to lots more fun experiences... After travelling extensively through many countries of the world, we came to Costa Rica for the first time 30 years ago and instantly fell in love with the nature, people, flora and fauna of this gentle country. Almost 30 years ago (1989) we purchased a very large natural preserve nestled above the Pacific ocean in a very sleepy, quiet community of Flamingo Beach in the Pacific North-Western province of Guanacaste. We never looked back - never regretted this decision. In fact, we started by building our first house. Then a guest house, followed by a pool. Before we knew it, we had designed and built a unique complex of beautiful Villas with 2 large pools - all built with the highest regard for their tropical surroundings and natural setting. From every window or terrace, one can appreciate the magic of Nature. It has been very rewarding personally for us to create this unique little corner of Paradise!
