Beautiful Apartment, Great Location, Close Proximity to the Beach/Town

Beautiful stay at Flamingo Towers. The apartments are beautiful, well air-conditioned, and clean. It was easy to check in with clear instructions. The location was perfect as it was 7 minutes from the beach and less than 10 minutes to all restaurants. The pools were great temperature and provided a beautiful landscape background. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful View

We arrived at night in the dark and woke up to a fantastic view. The property was exactly as depicted on VRBO. The only drawback is the location while it gives a great view it is on top of a hill with an extremely rough road leading up to the property. Your need a 4x4 and an experienced driver.

Great location. Access roads have short steep stretches. Excellent sunset views. Sheltered parking and 24-hour security. There are two elevators. Nice pool areas. FT-24 is spacious. Good in-suite laundry. Basic furnishings but comfortable. Dishwasher does not work well. No in-room safe. Question to property manager (Krain) unanswered after arrival. Would definitely stay again.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very spacious apartment with nice view. Kitchen missing basic items; pasta drainer, large bowl for salad, wine glasses, vegetable peeler. All broken fry pans need to be replaced. Great washer & dryer. No cushions on the chairs on the deck. No night tables or lamps in the bedrooms. No safe for valuables.

This property has such beautiful views!! Each bedroom had its own balcony and bathroom which was super nice. What I didn’t like was that I received one message from the host with checkin instructions and that was it. They have a tall bottled water dispenser and our first evening there it ran out. I messaged the host about replacing it and just never received a new one or any response for that matter. I felt that the unit could’ve provided more amenities for the price such as coffee or something. It was very minimal in my opinion. Thankfully we had a rental car and there’s a grocery store within a few minutes of the unit. The area near the unit is calm and felt safe.

Feb-Mar 2024 Vacation Rental

We recently stayed for 11 nights, checking out March 9th. Amazing view from the balcony which made up for some of the disappointment with the suite. - Dishwasher does NOT work, runs but water does not circulate - No plugs in kitchen, which would have helped to wash dishes - Needs a privacy option for the windows in the 2 showers. Construction next door places you in view. - Kitchen glasses & cooking ware missing or needing replacement. thankfully Krain brought some wine glasses. - There is no safety deposit box even though we specifically asked and were assured there was. - Keypad entry would be nice instead of worrying about keys (pickup & drop off) Right sliding door in living room does not open, no coffee tables by couches, only one nightstand per bedroom w/ no bedside lamps, numerous towels are stained or torn, cracks in bottom of the tub, pictures on walls poorly placed w/ most walls bare. - Wifi worked in unit, not at poolside or parking garage, even though most other units show up. Summary....We appreciated everything Krain did to enhance our stay however the Owners need to update the contents & show the unit some TLC. We did enjoy our time in Costa Rica a lot! We loved the pool and the view, however next time try a different suite due to issues noted above.

Mixed bag experience

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After a full and long day of travel, we arrived in Potrero at Flamingo Towers #24. It was around 7:30 and dark. We had alerted the management company -Krain, that we would be coming in late and they assured us that was not a problem (they had made us sign a rental agreement that included a late check in fee, which we we told them we would not pay - and they agreed). When we got there the entry code for the door didn’t work. We had been told to look for a blue tent to get information and a welcome basket. There was no blue tent, no welcome basket and no one from the management agency to assist us. The Towers and apartments were locked up; there was no front desk and no one on site to assist. I I tried calling 2 numbers I had been given to contact them. No one answered nor responded to my messages. After an hour we located an after hours worker who just happened to have the personal phone # of the Krain apartment manager. After much wrangling the manager provided us with a new lockbox code and we were able to get in. This was incredibly unprofessional of the management company. When I did finally talk to the manager, he apologized and said he would stop by the next morning, bring us some coffee, and would fix the lock box problem. We waited all morning and never saw him nor heard from him again at all during our stay. I would say that the apartment itself was clean, comfortable, had modest but adequate kitchen utensils, and a breathtaking view. But frankly, the management company soured us deeply on this experience. They were uncommunicative, hard to contact, and non-responsive. We were lucky to even get into the place but for the worker who just happened to be there when we were wandering the premises looking for help. The phone numbers provided to clients like myself for communication and problem solving were a joke. Nothing but empty rings and message boxes and then no call backs.

Spectacular View!! Would definitely return

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view was amazing and we loved sipping wine on the balcony. We didn't have 4 wheel drive as the description recommended, but we were thankful to have an SUV, as the road was definitely bumpy to arrive there, but it was worth it. The property was well-maintained, although we had a small problem with the A/C that the property manager addressed right away. It was very windy one night and it howled very loudly all night, since it seemed that the windows and doors weren't sealed very well. There was one fan that we put in one bedroom which covered the noise, but the other couple were kept awake by it. It would have been nice to have coffee, or some cream and sugar, but we made due. Also, they had a binder with general information on Costa Rica, but no information on restaurants or activities in Playa Flamingo. That would have been helpful.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was beautiful and clean but I was never able to get ahold of the host to replace the large water bottle dispenser in the unit. It’s recommended to not drink tap water in Costa and being that they provide filtered water, it should be refilled or atleast half for new guests. Also, the unit does not provide any extras of any kind. They give a coffee maker but not even sugar packets. There is a grocery store just a couple mins away. But for the price you’d expect a little something; at minimum a host who is responsive to their guests.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Dishwasher nor ice machine didn’t work. The coffee pot leaked, sink plugs were missing , many pot lights burned out ( in the condo and on the balcony), condo upgrades needed ( couches VERY UNCOMFORTABLE ), some pictures on the walls need replacing, wobbly pots need replacing , as well more glass wear needed. ( wine and drinking ) . Positive side - great view from balcony , nice balcony furniture, quiet location and comfortable beds. I contacted Krain with these concerns but didn’t hear back. We’d stayed in the complex 4 years ago but in a different unit and found the experience much more positive. I would recommend the property to others if the above concerns were remedied.

Would recommend unit- burn make sure you check ahead on air conditioner.

Walking to activities wouldn't be easy, but driving only takes a few minutes. Dryer is rough and chewed up some of our clothes.

Nice place

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place is nice and clean but to access the place you need a 4x4 and even in a 4X4 was bit difficult because the access road was in really bad shape. I would recomend it if oyr have a 4x4 and definetlly need a car to access places.

Great views, on a steep hill

The property had stunning views of the ocean, and a lovely terrace. Note you may need a 4-wheel drive to get up the dirt road to the property!

Flamingo Towers

We had to call property mgmt to come and fix things. No beach access. Normally when staying at a VRBO the property supplies laundry detergent, seat cushions for patio, etc.

One million dollar view

This is our second time staying at this tower Manage by Krain and the experience always is above and beyond, attention to details are always there. The sunset on this place is like no other on the world. Looking forward for the next time we come back.

Amazing views

A perfect location right in the middle to explore near by towns of Coco, Ocotal, Potrero, Flamingo, Brasilito, Tamarindo and Hermosa. It’s an upscale condo with great Pool and views. Great to have washer/dryer in unit. Full kitchen with everything you could need to cook. Covered parking in underground garage keeps your vehicle cool and protected with 24hr security.

Buena vista al océano y tiene elevador que es un plus para adultos mayores Si le hace falta mantenimiento Un disco de la cocina no funciona , toallas manchadas con cloro , muebles de desayunador todos con el tapiz despegado Mesa de comedor y sillas con muchos rayones Y no se puede poner el aire a menos de 25 grados por lo cual el Ambiente adentro es muy caliente e incómodo para dormir
