Sadly, the condition of this house is terrible. The floors, walls, carpets bathrooms are absolutely filthy. There is an awful musty smell throughout the house. The furniture is broken and stained. The pool heater was not working and the management company said they could not get it to run. The heater upstairs doesn’t seem to work at all and we needed to have it come looked at. One towel person is not sufficient especially when you have kids who were using the community pool (as the pool at the house was not heated). I would tell the owner/management company to take this house off the rental market and replace all the carpet, paint the walls and steam clean and fix the furniture. Would not recommend this rental to anybody.

Birthday Trip

It was a nice place, but you can tell that somethings have went unnoticed. There were holes in the net outside. The patio door would not lock we had to barricade ourselves in for safety. The trash bin had trash from previous guest and we received a notice on the door. You can tell where things had been wasted on the carpet from the stains and where damages had been done. It looked as if the housekeepers did the absolute bare minimum.

Great location! Nice property.

We enjoyed our stay! But the property could really use some updating. Walls need painted, carpet needs to be replaced, and it could use a good deep cleaning. The furniture was in poor condition and very dirty. We would consider staying again.

If your not used to having your house at 75 degrees this isn’t the place for you Only good thing about this place is the size stayed a week only had two towels per couple 5 couples 6 kids the house was pretty dirty stains in the carpet and on the walls had to worry about getting accused of that then got accused of stealing 14 towels!? Beautiful home with some maintainance issues and cleaning concerns

The property is beautiful. There were a couple of maintenance concerns. It was not well manicured and some areas were poorly cleaned. The management team was very responsive and addressed issues quickly. But it was disappointing to require the assistance at all.

DO NOT BOOK!!!!!

If you would like to enjoy a time away from I would advise not to book. The house accommodated our family was the only pro because of the number of rooms but if you want to relax in cool breeze I would not advise from the first day we arrived we continuously advised the property management of the Ac unit, we were already alarmed when we met a fan in one of the rooms. Not to our surprise the AC unit was not working the fridge leaked and not enough towels for the pool. Their excuse for the AC was Florida is hot. Take my advice and DO NOT BOOK

The place itself was decent. They do not supply wash cloths and very little towels no kitchen towels. They trying to charge me for towels and hand cloths which half of what they claim wasn’t there and the towels that they showed looked as if they needed to be washed but they tried to say they were stained. It’s only one room in the house that gets a lil cool which is master upstairs. Carpets were badly stained. No broom mop was dirty floors needed mopping and they try to charge you an extra day for early check in and I don’t mean like noon I’m talking 2:00 pm. Don’t do it i should of paid attention to the reviews and listened

At ACO Vacation Homes, we value our guests’ opinions and always strive to provide the best experience possible. Just to clarify, we never advertise that we provide washcloths. We do, however, provide one bath towel per guest and offer washing machines and dryers for your convenience. This way, you can clean them at any time during your stay without needing extra towels. As for carpet stains, it's not uncommon for vacation homes to experience wear and tear. We do have a deep cleaning schedule in place to maintain the quality of our homes. Regarding early check-in requests, they are not part of the original booking agreement. It's standard practice to charge an additional fee for early check-ins since they are outside of the reservation terms. Please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions or concerns. Lots of space! Pleasant stay, but should have believed the other reviews

The location was good, easily accessed from main roads. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect for our group. There was room for everyone to be together or have some space to themselves. We did not request the pool heated but it was pleasant to sit at the edge and dangle toes in after long days of touristing! As noted in other reviews and listed in the description of the house, they provide minimal supplies. One of the guest rooms had enough TP for one night. There were enough towels, 2 per room, for us, but if bringing a family group you would likely need to either bring more, do a lot of laundry or buy some in town. You will definitely need to buy TP & paper towels. Also, the place really needs some upkeep. The carpets in every bedroom were stained. One of the sinks in the master bedroom wouldn't drain. Overall an OK stay but, having used VRBO multiple times, I expected a few more basic amenities to be provided.

HORRIBLE PLEASE DONT STAY and READ THIS

PLEASE READ PLEASE!!!! If you don’t want to be charged! Where do I begin…… I’ve never had a worse experience before in my life and I travel a lot . To start I’m going to say that I’ve never stayed at a rental before that has such a disgusting carpet and dirty walls. Literally all the rooms had a nasty carpet . All the walls had marks and stains . The bedsheets were dirty had pubes and hair . However this is not where it gets worse . We took very good care of the house even though the walls were disgusting , we GOT CHARGED $80 because of “supposedly marks on the kitchen wall, which were already there and a stained towel!!! A towel wihich should have been washed no problem . Mind you, no one even sat there on the kitchen counter . I tried to fight this, and they were not helpful at all. They did not care even though I said that nobody had even sat there we were not even in the house only to sleep at night. I’ve never had such a horrible customer service before . I regret staying there so much . OH HOW COULD I FORGET ! THE AC SUCKED!! Bottom floor and rooms were ovens . Extremely hot . So yeah , good luck if you decide to still stay there .

Do Not Stay Here

Our group was very disappointed with the conditions of this rental. Aside from the general lack of supplies (like hot pads, pans, cleaning supplies, etc.), which they are up front about, the rental itself was disgusting. As other reviews had mentioned, there were stains on all the carpets, bedding/bed covers, towels, and pillows as well as broken/dented siding, walls, window screens, couch & bed frames, and railings. I had to take pictures of everything to send to them upon initial check-in because they do not provide a condition report checklist which I had asked about prior to our stay. The worst part was that the thermostats on the first and upper floor were auto-set at 74 degrees, which I had asked about for them to fix/adjust prior to our trip AND during our trip as it was way too hot to sleep. Their response was the FL weather was the reason it was warm in the house even after they had sent maintenance to "fix" it. It never dropped below 80 degrees in the upper floor, which was an issue for the 20 people staying there. They also expected you to wash and dry all bedding/towels before 10am checkout, which was impossible with the broken drier & number of items we had to wash. While this rental is in a convenient location and had a nice pool, those are about the only nice things I can say. This company has the potential to be good as they are responsive, but they just do not take care of their properties and don't fix anything even after multiple of the same reviews.

Disappointed

Initially we thought great property, until I got inside and it was problem after problem. Upon walk through of property upon arrival everything looked good. After settling, there was a closet door that was off track that kept falling, the entertainment room tv , was hanging off wall as mount was broken, also they provided no remotes for game system. The kitchen counter was broke if you sat at it or applied in pressure it separated from the island, so it could not be used for seating or dining. First off during a pandemic, the pool maintenance was not kept up. The 3rd maintenance man that came to the house stated pool filter had not been cleaned in months let alone their was a standing electrical issue that caused the motor not to work as well as pool to hold temperature. The pool was dirty, jacuzzi wasn't working, had no water and pool was not heated which we paid for heat and requested 24 hours in advance. The grill was nasty disgusting and did not work yet we filled it up with propane. and did not receive a refund. The pool area was dirty I had to call over 20 times throughout my stay regarding consistent issues, garbage pickup, etc., they are not organized or together. My concerns were not taken seriously. I would not recommend this rental to no one or this management company. To this day I haven't received any type of correspondence regarding all my concerns regarding the property. Had to report them to the Health Department and BBB as well as consult lawyer as I'm disputing charges. Also come to find out they do not wash duvets or comforters or sheets unless need be as we were charged for normal wear to linen. Also dryer does not dry well. To know we traveled during a pandemic and they did not take proper precautions with certain areas of this rental property is appalling.

Very Nice Home Great Location

Overall stay was AMAZING!!! LOVE the HUGE Master suite!!! A few things.....the screen around the pool should be replaced as it broken. The mop in the pantry should be cleaned after the cleaning people use it. BUT honestly the overall stay was GREAT my family & I loved the home. Plenty of space for our Thanksgiving celebration.

Don’t let pictures fool you too

This was my worst experience to stay at a place through VRBO. I would have been better off staying at the motel 6 or Howard Johnson. I was amazed how dirty/disgusting this house was. There is so much it’s hard to put in words but I will try. 1. There was still hair in bath tubs in 3 of the 6 bathrooms. 2. When wiping up a water spill on floor on first night in home the towel became so dirty we was charged for the towel. YES WAS CHARGED FOR TOWEL BEING DIRTY!!! 3. The child barrier around pool was broken and screening to keep bugs out was broken as well 4. The sheets was like sleeping on sandpaper. 5. Beds are all extremely uncomfortable (motel 6 has better mattresses) 7. When renting a VRBO it is expected to have utensils. I wasn’t expecting to be able to serve 10 but this place had 1 fork. No seriously it only had 1 fork for a house that sleeps 24. 8. The game room/garage did have an air conditioner but the garage didn’t completely shut so it was hot AF. I fixed it for them and it did kind of cool off but again I didn’t go on vacation to fix others problems. 9. Dryer does not dry clothes or towels On 1st, 2nd, or 3rd try. Each load takes minimum of 3 hours. 10. Paint on walls is in need of repaint. And on baluster. 11. Carpet is absolutely disgusting. Baby’s socks turned black. 12. Doors squeak so loudly that ever time someone uses bathroom we all hear them go in. 13. Pools chlorine was so high that we couldn’t swim. ( I went and bought PH strips and it registered above 9 which is not swimmable). 14. Dinning room chairs are on the verge of breaking 15. Had to purchase batteries to operate TVs. 16. Wi-Fi doesn’t support more than 3 TVs 17. Neighborhood is loud and community pool is a good place to create concrete scrapes. The slide dumps into 4-6” of water. Slide at your own risk 18. I was charged for dirty towels and sheets before it was ever attempted to wash them. 19. Hot water. What hot hater? Only hot water we could find was in pool. Overall I would highly suggest that you not rent this property. It is poorly maintained and does not possess the necessities. The communication with host is horrible at best they use a system that goes through a computer and it is very hard to communicate with someone that does not speak correct English especially when it is a bad connection through computer. VRBO should remove this property from their list. It gives them a bad name. I’d say more but I out of space!

The host was amazing the home was very beautiful and kid friendly my kids really enjoyed themselves

The property was perfect however the The maintenance man kept coming with false report stating things were broke so we couldn’t really enjoy us that Saturday the day of the party because he were there for hours and then would leave and come back saying that he got a ticket saying there’s something else broken and when he got there none of those problems appeared other than that I would definitely stay again the host was amazing and responded quickly the house was clean and close to everything definitely 5 stars from my family and I.

Nice property mostly

Overall it was a good stay but it wasn't as nice as the pictures. All of the t.vs didn't work. They were slow responding. They also charged me over $100 for a couple of towels and a sheet that had something spilled on them. I paid for insurance and these sheets and towels could have easily been bleached cleaned.

Ok but watch out for the charges on the back end!!

The house was pretty and in a good location. But It was a run down and not well maintained. Mold in the bathrooms, pool fence broken, etc.. We requested for the pool to be heated only to get there with it half full and freezing. After our trip we got an extra charge for a bench leg that was falling off, which it was already falling off when we got there. They also charged us for the garbage bags being broken in the garbage box, which was due to raccoons and there was no way to lock it so they couldn't get in. I tried to email and call the management company several times and couldn't get them to respond. Finally after weeks I got a response explaining what the extra charge was for, but when I tried to respond back, they stopped responding again. They charge a mandatory extra fee for "damage protection" for up to $1,500 worth of damages when you first rent the house. But I guess that bench leg that was already broken cost them more than that. Ugh Just terrible company. Wouldn't recommend renting a house through them. I know I never will again!
