I'm glad you enjoyed our home and our slice of Carolina Beach, NC. The review you left in our welcome book at our condo was lovely and very different than the one you wrote here after being notified of a deposit charge. I wish I was able to upload that review here but VRBO doesn't allow for that. Our cleaner reported the bedroom clock was not working after your stay. You stated to me when I notified you regarding this that you plugged the clock in when you arrived, which means the cord was there at your arrival. When inspecting the clock, the cord and adaptor that plugs into the wall were missing. When items are missing or broken, they need to be replaced in a timely fashion, so the next guest is not inconvenienced.

I wish we could control all of the items you mentioned in your review but unfortunately, we can't predict how others will treat our home or it's belongings during their stay or the weather or the internet company. Yes, the washer/dryer was temporarily out of order due to previous guests misuse of our home. We purchased a new one that took several days to be delivered but we are now back up and running. Our front door can be a bit finicky due to our close proximity to the beach. The humidity and many temperature fluctuations that happen in any given day or season can cause some sticking. The internet issues, I would like to blame on Spectrum, since they are usually the culprit, but upon looking into it, a previous guest did a factory reset on our router which caused a slew of issues. That too is now repaired and working well. We hope you enjoyed your stay in Carolina Beach and all that it has to offer. If we can help you in the future just let us know.

Sorry to hear you didn't find our homes furnishings to your liking. I feel we are quite honest in our depiction of or property and its eclectic beach furnishings. That's why our listing has so many photos of our cozy beach home so that we can show you around our place before you arrive at any rental decisions. A mattress can be a very subjective thing depending on your personal preferences, I hate that this one didn't work out for you. Due to our close proximity to the beach warping and sticking does occur due to the humidity and many temperature fluctuations that happen in any given day or season.

I believe there was a misunderstanding about the AC settings. The two things we ask our guests to due regarding the AC is make sure the slider doors are shut and to set the AC back to 76 degrees when their vacation is over to be more energy efficient and to give the HVAC unit a little break in the hot weather months. We do not mean you can not lower the AC when you are on your vacation. Also, if you feel the HVAC system is having a problem cooling please contact us (the owners) to have it repaired. If a problem is not reported, we cannot address it. We want you to have a great vacation just as much as you do. We do require our guests to bring their own linens and it is stated on our VRBO page "Just bring your linens and your island attitude and get ready to relax." I reiterate this fact in our welcome email. You can rent linens at the beach through various companies if you do not wish to bring your own. Which many people do since bringing your own linens is common. As a courtesy we do provide a few paper products and cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink and in the laundry area. Tenants are free to use them if they forget their own in order to make the stay and check out process better. But overall we do not supply these items for your full stay.
