We are disappointed by this review, as it contains statements that do not accurately reflect what occurred. Our guest house is a separate accommodation located on the same 2-acre property where we live as we disclose in the listing. When the guest requested an early check-in, we advised her in advance that we would need to use the driveway to bring our boat into our garage during her stay. The maintenance we were doing on the boat, took longer than expected that day. We didn’t want to pull in the driveway at night out of respect for our guest, so we parked the boat on the street far away from the guest house. The following morning, we intentionally waited until approximately 9:30 a.m. before pulling into the driveway, out of consideration for our guest and to avoid disturbing her earlier in the morning. We pulled our truck and boat trailer into the driveway so we could safely back the boat into the completely separate and unattached garage. The guest then came out of the front door visibly upset. We immediately waved and apologized, as we had no intention of disturbing her. The entire process took approximately five minutes. During that time, we remained either in our truck or outside solely to maneuver and unload the boat. Afterward, both my husband and I walked to the front door and rang the doorbell specifically to apologize for the inconvenience. We do want to specifically address the statement that we were looking through her windows. This did not happen. Neither of us looked through or into the windows at any time. We were outside only to move and unload our boat and then briefly walked to the front door to apologize. We have been fortunate to host many wonderful guests and have a long history of very positive reviews on all of our booking platforms. We take our guests’ experience and our reputation very seriously, and we’re proud of the positive relationships we’ve built with our guests over the years. We simply wanted to share our perspective and clarify what actually occurred.
