Beautifully thought out and decorated. Fantastic for crawling babies and a toddler, very clean and set up for three groups (grandparents and two daughters with their families) the host even bought a second playpen for us and had it on site. The keyless entry and golf cart was very practical since parking can give you that “tiny space edge” over your car. Walking to the Biat House (1/2 a block!) was a pleasant surprise as it’s delicious and not crazy crowded with activities to keep littles busy and a great view. We enjoyed the hot days in the pool and cool evenings with plenty of propane with the fire pit. We’ve come to this area for years with different family/friend configurations so I think I’m a good review to consider if you’re looking for a fantastic location for a group, very clean, and perfect especially when sharing a house for a week extended family!
The grass was so soft, our grandbabies fell asleep in the cool shade. The property has a beautiful private hedge to make the backyard feel like a private oasis.

Everything about this vacation rental was 5-Stars! The location is awesome, the interior of the home was beautifully designed and furnished (it was even beautifully decorated for the holiday season!), the kitchen was very well equipped and the appliances were fantastic for those who like to cook, the outdoor living space (pool, spa, cold plunge, outdoor grill and dining area) was terrific, and probably most important the host was so kind and easy to communicate with throughout the week. Do not hesitate to book this vacation rental!

The house was exactly as described on the website. The furnishings were very good and made the stay comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and made cooking for the whole family easy. Top-notch toys and games for the kids. All outside equipment ie: bikes, beach wagons, sand toys, kayaks etc. were enjoyed by all. Our son bravely used the cold plunge. Our grandchildren were very happy with the short walk to the beach and the heated pool. Katie was very responsive to any questions we had before the stay. She also gave us an opportunity to rent a golf cart, which was fun for all. The added bonus was watching the bald eagle in its nest in a tree right in front of the house. The only "downside" would be, we only rented the house for a week. We would definitely stay here again.

Had a great week on Manasota key. This beach house is just what the name implies .... a "Beach Retreat" to calm your soul. The house was amazing and felt comfortable.like being home. Spacious rooms and living/kitchen area for games and hanging togeather. Our grandkids never wanted to leave the pool, sauna, cold plundge area. Great outdoor sitting area to enjoy the beautiful weather. Loved the location, as it is great for a walk to town, beach time or getting to the bay for a kayak ride. Highly recommend this location for a beach week on the island.

This house was AMAZING and so was Katie!!! My husband and I stayed there for 5 nights and our daughter stayed for one night. We stayed at a different place 6 weeks prior as Sunset Beach Retreat was booked. Booked a last minute trip to escape the cold and it was available. So glad it was available because we found our home away from home for future escapes! House is bigger than what the pictures show and the pictures are accurate. We don’t have small kids, but the house is great for someone that does. We spent everyday at Stump Pass which is less than a 10 minute walk. We loved the kayaks, paddle board and the sauna. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Everything was very clean. The house is on a very quiet street and I think we saw less than 10 cars go by during our stay. You could hear the ocean while relaxing in the heated pool. We didn’t want to leave! I know I already said this, but Katie was amazing! Checked in daily, gave recommendations and was extremely helpful with our last minute trip. Would book again and will be booking again as long as it’s available! Everything about it was 10 out of 10!

Beautiful, FULLY STOCKED house and property. This was a great house for two families of four! The kids loved the bunk room and adults apprecaited the comfy king bedrooms on the other side of the house. The kitchen had everything we needed and all the odds and ends for a beach day were also available (towels, buggies, beach chairs, a cooler, floats, etc.) The beach was in walking distance, but we had probably more fun in the backyard enjoying the pool, ninja-style playground, fire place, and cold plunge! Definitely reccomend for families with younger kids :)

Everything was perfect! You are so lucky to get to stay here, it was a blast! Beautiful home and great service. We road the bikes down to Englewood to compete in the Inflatable Invitational, and to Stump Pass State Park. We took the kayak to the beach. It was perfect to celebrate my son’s graduation from college as well as all the birthdays we had. We would love to stay here again, we used everything, the sauna, pool, playground, golf, kayaks. I didn’t have time to try out the paddle boards, maybe next time. They have everything you need, coolers, shampoo and soap, it’s all been thought of. The only thing I couldn’t find was a hand mixer but it wasn’t a problem my daughter brought hers. Thank you for the memories Katie!

Amazing spring break long weekend stay.

Our stay at this house was nothing short of amazing. The condition was impeccable, and the appliances were top-notch, equipped with everything we needed to cook delicious meals. Even on cool spring nights, my kids couldn’t resist the warm pool.The location was perfect. It was close enough to town to experience the small island ambiance, yet it felt like we were right next to the ocean. We took advantage of the optional golf cart rental, which was an absolute must-do. It allowed us to conveniently run from home to town for dinner, lunch, and even to the beach.One of the best things about this house was the inclusion of many activities and amenities that weren’t even listed on the seller’s website. The communication with the owners was top-notch, and they were an incredibly friendly couple. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a luxurious and enjoyable vacation.

Last Spring Break with our HS Senior

My wife and I took our 18 year old daughter away for spring break and we were joined by good friends and their 16 year old daughter.The Retreat was quite a treat. Everything was very thoughtfully decorated, immensely equipped, and we lacked for nothing.We all had a great time enjoying the island from this amazing property. The professional listing pictures are beautiful but don't fear that they are hiding anything by having them professionally taken. It is even better than photos can capture.Two big things we think the owners can add to the listing offerings are:1) The smart TVs in every room allow for pairing of gaming controllers and streaming of games without the need for a console. Great for a relaxing evening wind-down or if the weather isn't conducive to collecting rays.2) A short kayak trip can take explorers to dolphin encounters in the Bay just behind the retreat. We saw 7 total different dolphins on a single paddle and they were swimming around and under us.The value of the golf cart can not be overstated either. It was the perfect conveyance to everything on the island without having to use our personal vehicles. That allowed us to stay in vacation mode.The property was extremely clean and fresh from floor to ceiling.We definitely hope to return and enjoy more of Katie's hospitality in the future.The Retreat

We chose this area close to our home for the old Florida feel, close proximity to the beaches, and crystal clear water, where our kiddos can enjoy the calm beach just steps from our home. Their personal favorite activity is searching for shark teeth all along the wonderful beaches.

Manasota Key is one of the few places left along the gulf coast that provides you with that Old Florida feel. A little slice of paradise tucked between Sarasota and Ft Myers, easy access to multiple International Airports. While on the key you can let the stress melt away, families can enjoy everything from the beaches to exploring Lemon Bay kayaking and boating alongside many dolphins.

Enjoy the wonderful local restaurant’s, that offers great food, drinks and live music. Dearborn Ave is just a short drive off the key, where you’ll enjoy great little boutique shops, farmer’s markets and more wonderful restaurants. A short 20 min drive inland to North Port provides you with the home of the Atlanta Braves Spring Training at Wellen Park in North Port. Wellen Park provides a great little downtown area, with live entertainment and activities scheduled throughout the week that includes live music, Friday night entertainment, Sunday Farmer’s Market, local shops, restaurants and a fantastic park that’s very popular with the kiddos.

Sunset Beach Retreat was professionally designed for families. We set out to create a place with a fresh design that compliments the wonderful beach surroundings that Manasota Key offers. With families in mind we packed it full of amenities for all age's.

Our goal is to provide a beach retreat that families can share and create life long memories that they can share with one another and come back to enjoy every year. So many options for your group to choose from. We offer a brand new pool that’s heated in the winter and can be chilled to a desired temperature in the dead heat of summer. For those looking for something different we offer a 5 person Infrared Sauna and Cold Plunge. The kiddos have their own area with our little playset that’s a sure hit for the kids in the fenced in backyard area, giving parents that peace of mind where the kids can play for hours while you relax and enjoy everyone’s company.

The new layout and interior design offers families and groups two bedrooms with King Size beds, along with a Bunk Room with four Full Size Beds for the kids or extra room for additional adults if you elect for an adult only trip. Both bathrooms have been completely redesigned and remodeled. We offer a large double vanity with huge walk in shower bathroom next to the bunk room and a bathroom with tub/ shower combo between both primary bedrooms.

The newly designed kitchen / and dinning room offers a beautiful island that seats 4 and a dining table that can seat up to 8 allowing everyone to dine together for those larger gatherings. We offer a brand new washer and dryer for your convenience to do laundry during your stay.

Everything from the inside and out has been professionally designed to provide the best relaxing and fun guests experience for families of all generations.
