I booked this stay expecting a private entire home as advertised. VRBO’s marketing explicitly states you don’t have to share your space but that wasn’t the case here.I arrived late (2 AM) due to traffic and immediately noticed another car in the driveway, which confused me. Still, I went around back and entered. The overhead light didn’t work, so I had to use my phone flashlight to find a floor lamp, the only light source in the “studio apartment.”It became clear this was not an entire home but a single garage room with a wall dividing it from the rest of the house. Tired, I figured I’d at least make something to eat, but the “fully equipped kitchen” was actually a microwave, a dirty broken-legged hotplate, two spoons, two spatulas, a butter knife, two cups, and no plates, pots, pans, forks, or usable knives.I’d brought food to cook but couldn’t. At 2 AM nothing was open, so I went hungry and also missed breakfast before work the next morning. On the way to work, I requested a refund and left. I left my food and lunchbox behind in the fridge, expecting the host to be understanding and let me comeback after work but they told me they would charge me for another night if I wanted access after 11 AM....so I forfeited my food too...This experience was disappointing and kinda ruined my first day...I didn't get a full refund either.. Travelers deserve honesty and basic functionality, especially when paying for a private, “entire” home. Pass on this space...
