Sea Lodge # 24 ist direkt am Strand in der Nordseite des Grand Cayman in der schönen kleinen Gemeinschaft von Cayman Kai, einem sicheren, ruhig, still, und freundlichen Gegend. Es ist am Strand gelegene Unterkunft mit einem schönen bunten Meerblick, die von türkis bis tiefSaphir geht. Es wird von einem Korallenriff 200 Metern von der Küste geschützt und bietet große Schnorcheln Möglichkeiten für Anfänger und begeisterter Schnorchler gleichermaßen. Schwimmen ist in den glitzernden, kristallklares Wasser groß. Unsere private unberührten Strand hat schöne Sand und ist ideal für entspannende Spaziergänge. Es ist auch ideal für das Lesen dieses neue Buch Ihnen abgeholt während fangen ein paar Sonnenstrahlen. Das ist sehr privaten und ruhigen Ort zum Entspannen. Also, wenn Sie nach diesem abgelegenen Inselgefühl suchen ... dies ist der richtige Ort!

Schön eingerichtete, zwei Schlafzimmern mit Doppelbetten und Schlafsofa in jedem Schlafzimmer mit einem Vollbad. Unsere Sea Lodge Platz für bis zu 8 Personen max. Es gibt 1 Schlafsofa in jedem Zimmer, die mit 1 Erwachsenen oder 2 Kinder unterbringen kann.

Es gibt eine voll ausgestattete Küche, Outdoor-Weber Grill (Holzkohle enthalten).
HD-Kabel-TV, 42 'LED HDTV, DVD-Spieler w / 70 Blockbuster-Filme und WLAN-Internet von Apple Airport Extreme Router-Verbindung, und Flughafen-Express.

Klimaanlage in beiden Schlafzimmern, aber nicht oft mit den schönen tropische Brise und die wunderbaren Jalousietüren, die zum Meer offene Veranda nötig. Sitzen und Entspannen mit Ihrem Lieblingsgetränk genießen Sie die Meeresbrise, wie Sie zu den ruhigen Klängen des Ozeans auf dem Strand einhüllen zu hören.

Beutiful views away from the hussle and bustle of Georgetown. We went for diving but found the snorkeling right from the property was great. The only down fall was the wifi wasn't working at the time and there was some nuisance flies. We would stay here again.

Grand Cayman Vacation

This rental property was just what we were looking for. The walk to the private beach where you can snorkel close to shore or swim to the reef was terrific. It is a quiet area which is easily accessible to some great restaurants or one can cook at home too. I would highly recommend it and the owner was very attentive to our needs.

Spectacular property

This property is exactly as described with spectacular location! We spent many hours on our private beachfront screened porch. Private, clean, beautiful grounds. Beach chairs and umbrella. Beautiful reef protects shallow bay for snorkeling. Easy walk to Rum Point if you want to rent jet skis or other water sporting.

We loved our stay. The view is incredible to wake up to everyday and we loved sitting on the screened porch. The beach is very quiet and usually empty. The beach does have seagrass and is rocky to enter but once a little past the snorkeling is lovely. We loved walking to the Kaibo espresso a few mornings and loved eating at Solis at Rum point and Kaibo. Many other restaurants are an easy 20-25 min away. Highly recommend!

Relaxing and Beautiful Stay

Our stay this past week was everything we wanted in a relaxing getaway. The Sea Lodges at Cayman Kai are a spectacular property, with a peaceful and quiet beach. Whole days went by when we were the only people on the beach. We spent time floating in the warm surf, snorkeling at the reef, and relaxing on the beach loungers. And at night we hung out in the peaceful lanai, sipping cocktails, listening to the sea, and gazing at the stars. The unit itself offered everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. Plus the location cannot be beat. Chad made our stay easy, and I definitely recommend this place.

Peaceful and relaxing stay

Great location, we loved how close we were to Rum Point. Nice and quiet beach area. The patio was our favorite area to relax and enjoy the view. There was minimal WIFI, we could find it in one spot near the door in the patio. We went to Rum Point for work and midterms, just 2 minutes down the road. The place could use some updates, we had the air conditioner go out in our bedroom and they called someone to fix it, they were there within the hour. Sadly, we had to wait until the next day to get a whole new unit put in. The wonderful sea breeze helped keep it cool. We did find a few children's beach toys and snorkel mask, but there was nothing adult sized to use. You will want some type of water shoes due to the amount of coral on the beach.

Fantastic but be prepared!

Our family of 4 enjoyed our 3 peaceful nights here after being on 7 mile beach the first part of our trip, but be prepared for the super rocky shoreline. You need chacos or similar to wear out into the water. We went when the water rougher but still loved snorkeling here (you probably need to be a fairly strong swimmer). We saw tons of fish, an eagle ray, sting rays and lobsters. Barbara was fantastic! She got in touch with a company last minute for us and they delivered a kayak and paddle board for a good price which I’d highly recommend doing.

Amazing view

Everything was great besides the TV was not working and manager replaced it and still not working for 5 days we did not have any TV at all. I got really bad BED BITES have over 20 bites all over my body and it was so uncomfortable. Needed more paper towels would be great and I got electrocuted from the stove while I was cooking.

Amazing, quiet, nice property.

My Wife and I came here with our 2 kids (8,12) for 10 nights and it was nothing short of relaxing. The house has A/C in the bedrooms which is great! We spent most of our time at Rum Point, Kaibo or Starfish point, all are extremely close. In the mornings and evenings we spent time on the lanai enjoying the beauty. If you are looking to truly "disconnect" and spend time with your family or by yourself this is the place. We felt this side of the island is quiet, safe, with plenty to do compared to the hustle and bustle of 7 mile beach side which is exactly what we wanted out of our vacation. Rum Point is walking distance with great snorkeling or just relaxing with your favorite beverage. Solis at Rum Point opened while we were there which is a great restaurant. Chad is a great host and Barbra the property manager was extremely helpful. You can't go wrong with this property.

Needs updating

Great location but needs upgrade. We got there and property was represented as have grill charcoal and wifi etc. Terrible occasional wifi which was the most annoying as i needed for occasional business. No television just dvd (however not thete to watch t.v..first night grabbed steaks and no charcoal. Toastet oven not working used the oven.etc. short toilet paper as we'll as paper towel. Air condition so old you couldn't figure out or get to run evenly. Sorry but you need to put some back in folks.

Love the North Side

My husband and I have been coming to Grand Cayman for 23 years, and have stayed in several different Sea Lodges! This time, we brought our daughter and another family (2 adults and 2 kids) to experience the North Side for the first time! You cannot beat the proximity to the beach at the Sea Lodges - the kids were in heaven from dawn to sunset! Most days, we had the beach to ourselves - the quiet, slow pace was just what we needed to decompress. We were surrounded by nature - from great snorkeling right in front of the Sea Lodges, to turtles nesting on the beach, and friendly local cats who always showed up right around dinner time! ;) The kids had a blast chasing lizards and crabs all over the property and beach, and even played with garden eels at low tide! The walk from the Sea Lodges to Rum Point is always a fun adventure, and never the same from one day to the next!We found the Sea Lodge unit to be clean and adequately stocked with most of the amenities we needed. The ceiling fan in one of the rooms was inoperable, but the AC unit kept the temperature pleasant. Our kids ended up sleeping in the living room with the wood slats open at night, and the cool ocean breeze kept them comfortable - I would suggest futons for the living room to add more sleeping options, especially for kiddos who love a “sleepover” feel! Overall, we were very happy with our stay at the Sea Lodge! It’s rustic and quiet - and that is what we love about the North Side!

Great stay in Rum Point

We love Rum Point and the Sea Lodges. The location can’t be beat and it’s always so quiet. This unit was quite dated, but had everything we needed including snorkel gear so we could snorkel the reef. Chad was great to work with and was very responsive always. Things to note- there is a reef right outside in the water. You don’t want to go out without fins and a floaty (the unit had both of these). There is a lot of sea grass so bring water shoes. The mosquitos are out of control - bring bug spray! If you plan on bringing your own food to the unit, stop at Hurley’s and the liquor store next door to it on your way from the airport. We ate at Tukka’s East End one night and it was delicious. If you stay at this property don’t expect a 5 star posh resort. You will get an old, quaint little condo that makes you want to slow down and take it all in!!

We stayed at this property at the end of June into first week of July. It is a very hot and humid time on Cayman 95F and high humidity. The unit has A/C in the bedrooms but not in the living room/kitchen area. The back patio is screened in but has no shade at all and not usable in the sun at these temps without shade. The beach is very close, 30 sec walk but covered in sea grass. The water is also full with sea grass for 100 yards out before clearing up, since the water is very shallow it is not pleasant at all to go swimming as you have to walk through it for a long time. This seams to be the case for most beaches on Grand Cayman with the exception of 7 mile beach. I can see this location to be nice in some cooler weather earlier in the year, but considering the above and pricing for accommodation at 7 mile beach we will seek out other Caribbean islands in the future. My two cents.

Peaceful and relaxing

If you're looking for something off the beaten path that is right on a beach then look no further! My family and I absolutely loved the property and location. It's quiet, clean and comfortable, but not some fancy or modern condo. If you're into snorkeling, there's an awesome reef out front about 150 to 200 yards out in reasonably shallow water. If you've never snorkeled before, you at least owe it to yourself to put your face in the water right at the beaches edge. There's a coral/cement formation about 10 feet out in 4 feet of water that has an absolute ton of different species of fish. The "mini" reef is right in front of the closest beach umbrella/hut. Sergeant majors, gobies, angelfish, damselfish, flounders, etc. There's even a spiny lobster living in one of the conch shells. If you're patient, you'll no doubt see schools of fish that wander up and down the shoreline. I even saw a juvenile Barracuda 50 feet farther down the beach. Chad was very pleasant to deal with for booking and we had absolutely no issues, even when we slightly modified our dates. If I had to nitpick, the beach isn't some stretch of sand that goes on forever, just a couple hundred feet. If taking a long walk on the beach is your thing, you'll have to do laps back and forth. Rum point was nice, but the whole island is still rebuilding from the most recent hurricane, so expect plenty of construction and clean up. We would stay here again in an instant as would our vacation buddies!

Good, but not what expected

This condo near Rum Point was nice and looked just like the pictures, however be aware there is no ac in the living room , which caught us off guard. The rooms however do and sleeping was comfortable. TheRe is a great ocean breeze at night that makes sitting in the back room lovely. The beach for us was really disappointing. We expected the crystal blue waters we remembered when we were at Seven Mile beach on our last visit. This Beach had quite a bit of seaweed and reefs all along the shore, which made it difficult to step around sharp rocks sticking out the sand. Since we don't snorkel, we didn't want to deal with it to get to the clear water that was just beyond. Rum Point was definitely not what we expected. One restaurant, one shop and not all that. Starfish Point just beyond Rum Point was lovely, but not much beach to spend the day on. Instead we drove daily to the west coast and enjoyed the clear and clean water of the 7 mile beaches. Govenors and Tiki beaches were the most visited by us. The 40-50 minutes drive was manageable, but not one that we wanted to do for dinner in the evening so we were limited to the restaurants on the East End - One that was closed the entire month of July. Overall the condo is well kept, and is comfortable...it was the nicest condo in the cluster. If you are looking for a more "local" experience this may be what you are looking for.

Thank you for taking to time to write a review for other travelers to read. I wanted respond to a few things you mentioned regarding your stay. There is no A/C in the Main Living Area due to the size of the space. It would be a futile effort to condition that space. There is a large industrial ceiling fan and the ocean breeze is usually sufficient. Both bedrooms have A/C to make sleeping comfortable. Our private beach is cleaned everyday by our hired grounds crew. You are correct, there is some sea grass along the shore. However, you mentioned reefs along the shore that make entering the water difficult. The only reef is the Eastern Coast Barrier Reef that is over 150 yards out from the shore. Along the shoreline, there are some rocks under there water, but there is typically a sandy "pathway" that you can walk out waist deep water to get through the sea grass. The walkway is on the northern end of our private beach. The pictures on our site are not altered and I can assure all future guests, the crystal clear water is the same as Seven Mile Beach . The only difference is the 10 liner feet from shore of sea grass. In our experience, Rum Point is a quiet and relaxing hangout. There are 2 restaurants; The Wreck Bar and Grill, which is open from mid morning through late afternoon. In the evening, the Rum Point Club is open for dinner. Both have wonderful food and service...and adult beverages! There are roughly 8 restaurants within 15 minutes from our location. We typically stay home and cook dinners, play cards, and enjoy the evening sea breeze. In a weeks time, we may go out to dinner a couple times. The local fare nearby satisfies our needs. Seven mile beach is much more "touristy". With that comes more food options, but also not as relaxed in my opinion. I think you accurately describe the experience as a "local" one, but do not give an accurate portrayal of the overall "vibe". I think in my description of our unit's location, I mention that it is a quiet and relaxing one. If you want a " touristy" feel, then Seven Mile Beach is where you would want to stay. It sounds like you enjoyed your stay in our unit, but unfairly dinged our review due to your inaccurate expectations. It sounds like you expected Seven Mile Beach...which it is not. Mediocre Management

The property was as advertised for the most part, but my biggest issue was the owner. On our second day there, the Blu Ray player and the TV both stopped working unexpectedly. Not the biggest deal when you are in the Caribbean, but it was rather unfortunate since we had our 3 very young children with us who like to watch a few television shows when my wife and I are trying to relax a bit. I would have appreciated a little more concern from the owner or an attempt to make it right since I was paying for a VRBO with these amenities listed in working order, but was instead essentially met with an “Oh, well.” I was also miffed a bit when on the day prior to our last, I requested a late check out time due to a very late flight home. The owner would flat out did not respond, even though we had been communicating throughout the week, leaving my wife and I to depart the property much earlier than we had hoped. I understand things don’t always work out well, and there are some things that the owner can’t control. My biggest issue was the lack of general concern or complete silence from the individual. If you do choose to stay at this place, just be aware that you will not receive any assistance or concern from the owner.

Hey Nick, it looks like my initial attempt to respond to your review a few months ago did not go through…not sure what happened. But after we spoke on the phone about the “mis-communication” issues I wanted to make sure I at least posted so that others were aware of the situation. As discussed on the phone, I was disappointed that my communication over text message regarding the Blu-ray play being damaged came across as and “oh well”. when you alerted me to this issue I immediately let my property manager know and I assumed she replaced it immediately. She unfortunately waited until after your stay to replace the broken Blu-ray player. My apologies for that misunderstanding. In regards to the Late check out request, unfortunately the email you sent through VRBO is not as spontaneous as text messaging and somehow I missed your request through the HomeAway App. It wouldn’t have a problem to stay a couple extra hours, as we did not have guests arriving immediately. Once again, as discussed, I wanted to say I am sorry that these communication issues detracted from your enjoyment of your vacation. I appreciate your wiliness to discuss this over the phone and I feel like we came a pretty good understanding. Thanks again for being open and honest and please come back again soon!
