Great setup- newly renovated with huge showers! The outside screened porch was perfect for our group.. not to mention being canal side.

Great Place

You can tell the owners care about this property and are making nice improvements. We had everything we needed for a weeks stay. Lots of room inside and outside for a very comfortable vacation.

Only had 1 washcloth . Sent message but never heard back . Otherwise no issues, very nice, spacious, clean place to stay . Plan to come back next summer !

Great Stay!

The house was very clean and well stocked. There was WiFi and a smart tv. The corner lot was very quiet. This was a wonderful place to stay and we could definitely stay there again!

Perfect river retreat

House is very clean & nicely remodeled. We truly had a great vacay in the home. Perfect for fishing trips or just hanging out. Very responsive host for our questions. We’ll be grabbing this one again next year!

And Fun was had by All

We loved our location and the closeness of nature. We especially enjoyed fishing from the dock and visiting the nearby state parks. We also did short day trips to the coast to Daytona Beach and Cape Canaveral. The house itself is nicely decorated and updated. The big yard was great for the kids to exercise and play.

Astor house on the canal

Great location. We saw a gator swimming up and down the canal and sunning itself near the boat dock. No WiFi or cable. Seemed like the house had been empty for a while- quite possible with the pandemic. We enjoyed our stay.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and we wanted to share the following: - We're glad you got to experience the charm of this rural location, and see some local wildlife. - The listing description doesn't advertise WiFi or cable, because the owners choose not to provide those amenities since the community is serviced by a small, independent company with limited bandwidth. - The house was thoroughly cleaned after the previous guests' stay, which was about two weeks before your arrival. Thanks for letting us know about your stay!

The perfect hideaway

My siblings and I rented this with our spouses for a quick 3 day family gathering. The space was EXTREMELY clean well stocked, and in an incredible setting. The house offered many different comfy hang out spots, each absolutely perfect for sitting around and catching up.*my only note, not really a complaint: the email sent out prior to arrival mentioned that wifi was not available on the property. We were all super pleasantly surprised, we would just hate to see someone not give this incredible home a chance, not knowing the service was available 100% would love to stay here again

Great house.

We were scared at first glance because the outside is green but we absolutely loved it once we got inside. We wish the fish were biting but we had fun. Boat slip broken concrete scratched are Ranger Bass boat but was easy access to the river. The garage was big enough to house both boats so we could charge the batteries back up. Also we charged them in the boat slip too. Great lighting at night in the back yard by the canal. Loved this place!!!

Fishing trip

Need at least another queen size bed, repair ceiling fan that doesn’t work, provide basic cable at least, provide extra box fans. Repair lights on pier and exterior lights that don’t work.

The homeowners would like to share the following: - Our listing states all sleeping options so that guests know before booking that there is one queen bed. - We apologize for the broken ceiling fan. That was discovered just before your check-in, and we immediately ordered a new fan. It arrived and was installed after your stay. - The listing mentions that this is a remote escape and does not have Wifi or basic cable. We felt it better to create a relaxing environment for our guests than provide unreliable Wifi. - We have central air and ceiling fans, so additional box fans have never been needed. - Our maintenance team inspected all lights and found the ones on the covered boat slip not functioning. Those were replaced with all new lights and a new plug for easier access when charging motors, etc. - We also installed new motion-activated outdoor lights. We appreciate your helpful feedback and look forward to providing five-star stays for our future guests!
