Our stay was excellent and our host was wonderful. There was more than enough space for our family of 5 and my boys really enjoyed the game room and all of the water activities available, and also the fire pit. The kitchen was well supplied and was very spacious.

Could not have been happier with the property and the property manager! The house was perfect for kids and adults of all ages. When any issues arose, Cassandra handled them so promptly and professionally. Will definitely be staying again!

Have a wonderful time! Pleasantly surprised for the fireworks Friday night. Queen bedroom closet had a hole in the ceiling. The couple staying there said there was an order and some flies. They had to keep it close and we unable to use it.

For future guests, the area described is not an exterior opening or a structural issue. It is an interior ceiling-level access area adjacent to the locked owner/utility storage space, with no outside access. We loved this large, family-friendly and group-ready property. It is perfectly situated on a great all sports lake and comes with kayaks and boats to use. The property management was very helpful and responsive. We had three families and everyone had a place to sleep, eat and relax!

Lake House Vacation

The Lake House was amazing. Beach access and amenities were top notch. It’s a close drive to Traverse City, Lake Michigan, Arcadia Bluffs and both Sleeping Bear and Silver Lake Dunes. I would definitely recommend this property for your next family vacation.

4 generations stayed & played. From the youngest (2 yrs old) to the oldest (81 yrs old) everyone had a wonderful week. The house is amazing and all the activities provided (kayaks, paddle boards, canoe, air hockey, ping pong, video games) made for an outstanding week.

Great Family Vacation

House was perfect for a large group (6 adults and 5 kids under 10yo). House facilities and available lake/swimming equipment was amazing. Wonderful quiet lake and great fishing! Meijer 10m away. Just a wonderful way to spend a week getting away from the world with family.

AMAZING HOUSE ON THE LAKE

This is one of those places where you wouldn't want to leave from ....it is clean and well designed, practical and very family oriented with the downstairs equipped for family fun. Very few rentals come as beautiful and well organized as this one. If you are looking for that one in a million, you found it!!!

Best family vacation!!!

This home offered us a home away from home! There are endless amenities, the kitchen was great for our family meals. The game room was fun for evening game nights after s’mores by the fire. The location is ideal…15 min from Lake Michigan, 25 min from Arcadia Dunes and 15 min from Manistee River. Thank you for a memorable family vacation….we will be back!!!

Great vacation home

This house has a great design and everything is up to date and in great shape. The water sports equipment is excellent. We had fabulous weather, so little indoor time during the day, but entertainment is there for rainy days. Have never stayed at the same place twice but may have to make an exception!

This property was perfect. Probably our best vrbo ever. Clean, nice, easy-to-understand information for televisions and fireplace. We skied Crystal two days and hung out at the house one day. We also hiked Acadia one day. Perfection!

Family Fun

The lake house provided a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the outdoors on Chief Lake. The house is in pristine condition and many amenities were provided. Daily, kayaks, canoes, paddle boards , etc were enjoyed by grandkids and adults . Fishing was great for grandkids with campfires every evening on spacious patio. Wonderful week!

Better than Advertised

We wanted a nice house on a lake to celebrate a big birthday and were extremely happy with our experience at the property. Every single thing we could possibly need was not only there, but it was clearly and thoughtfully labeled. The house is comfortable and clean, the game room is ridiculous and the back yard landscape and waterfront is impressive.

Family vacation

Perfect in every way. The indoor and outdoor spaces were everything we needed. Both were equipped with the best—great sleeping areas, wonderful kitchen with all amenities, great outdoor seating and beach. The beach, the adult and kid kayaks and paddle boards, life jackets, and fishing poles kept all of us happy. We had a great time. (Thanks for the eagles that sat across the lake! You even had binoculars for us to watch them.)

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

I don't have enough good things to say about this property. Absolutely incredible. It exceeded every expectation we had. It was clean and had every amenity we could desire. The lake was awesome the deck was awesome the game room was awesome. I wish i could give it more than 5 stars. We will definitely be back next year at the same location.

Awesome Family Vacation

We had the best week. The home was perfect for our family of 12. Plenty of room for all of us. There was always something to do, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, and when it rained one day lots to do inside, games, ping pong, air hockey, and more. We were even close enough to go into Manistee so the grandkids could swim in Lake Michigan. The home is easy to get to with great parking. All of the kids and grandkids give The Lake House 5-star excellent review. Nobody wanted to leave

Perfect Family Getaway with an Attentive Host

We had a wonderful stay at this lake house! The property had everything we needed for our large family of 14, including kids. The house was spacious, well-equipped, and the lake views were stunning. Our host was incredibly attentive and responsive. We encountered a minor issue with a bathroom shower leak, and they addressed it promptly, ensuring our stay was comfortable and stress-free. The house had all the amenities to keep everyone entertained, from the well-stocked kitchen to the ample outdoor water recreation gear. We truly felt at home. Highly recommended!

Sweet memories

Each year our family of thirteen including six grandchildren gathers for a week somewhere to make shared memories. This has been our favorite rental so far. There was ample room to be together for meals and activities and also room to independently savor the quiet beauty of Chief Lake. The available kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, paddle boat, life jackets and fishing poles combined with the quiet lake provided opportunities for everyone to safely have lots of fun during the day with evenings around the comfortable fire pit enjoyed too. We also appreciated its proximity to Sleeping Bear Dunes for hiking and Portage Lake for tubing. We hope to make many more happy memories there again in the future.

Perfect house!

Fabulous time with family- adults and kids! The house was beautiful, spacious, large bedrooms, and had all of the amenities you could need. Including for the lake - paddle boards, kayaks, canoe, etc. Fishing was great, everyone caught something. The downstairs has all the fun games from ping pong to air hockey, and arcade games, a teen heaven! Lake is big enough to tube and jet ski, but not a big lake. Close enough drive for short trips to Mainistee, or Arcadia, slightly longer to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Glen Arbor. Lots to do!!
