Big Pine Retreat is a hidden gem in the heart of hocking hills. Tucked into the deep woods, we are nestled between state forest and two hollows. We have 6 cabins and a lodge, all private and secluded and with hiking trails right outside your front door. From all of our cabins, you can hike directly to 21 Horse Cave, Chapel Falls, Airplane Rock and Conkle's Hollow. We are also connected to the Buckeye Trail. Must be 21 years or older to rent. AWD/4WD Recommended. Free WiFi -may experience disruptions and outages

The establishment was beautiful, private, clean, fully stocked and offered everything we desired for a weekend getaway. Added benefits were the fire starters, coffee, hammock, and added kitchen supplies like the french press. The hot tub was clean & hot. We also enjoyed the shower with dual shower heads. We highly recommend checking this cabin out.

Everything about the cabin was great. The hot tub was hot, the cover worked smoothly, the king bed was comfortable, and the shower was not a "tight fit" the way some cabin showers are.

Best secluded escaped from the reality!!! The cabin was absolutely beautiful! The backyard was completely private and had an amazing fire pit with a hot tub built for 2 which made us feel like we were in our own world. The host were attentive and accommodating with any questions that I had. This is definitely a place we will be coming back to!

This was the first time to the area . This cabin was great, very clean , looked just like the pictures. The biggest thing is the very steep Hill you have to go up. I was told about this after I paid , few day later and it was non refundable. This was a little disappointing. On top of this it was raining very heavy so it was hard to see the road . It would have been great if the hot tub roof was covered.

Things we loved: the cabin's cleanliness, the comfortable couch and bed, and the hot tub. What we didn't love: the toilet kept running, which disrupted our sleep. This was significant after having hiked all day and needing rest before hiking the next day. I'm especially disappointed to read that a renter reported the same issue last month, along with the second shower head not working, but neither was fixed ahead of our arrival. Also, the LED lights are on dimmer switches; however, when you dimmed them, they flickered. Hopefully, these items get resolved before the next renter arrives. We reached out to the host, and they offered to have maintenance come, but our stay was only two nights, so we turned off the valve to stop the noise on the second night. Maintenance should have handled the issues between renters, not during their stay.
