Welcome to your cottage by the gulf of Mexico! Blue Haven is a comfortable 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom cottage located one mile from Crescent Beach (my favorite Siesta Key beach), with a gorgeous, heated, salt water pool (with baby gate, if needed) in a completely fenced-in, private backyard where you can enjoy your meals grilled on your weber grill, sitting by the pool or in the screened-in lanai. If you bring your four-legged babies, they will love exploring the large backyard! You are minutes walking distance to a fabulous Thai restaurant, a wonderful bakery, an awesome breakfast/lunch deli/restaurant, and a barbecue joint! You have everything you need within a mile-radius of your home base, yet the street is so quiet and private, you would never know you are in such a vibrant area!

This cook's kitchen has beautiful granite countertops, and is fully stocked with all of the utensils, kitchen equipment, and pots and pans you will need if you want to cook in or grill out by the pool. The washer and dryer are located in the kitchen for easy access.

The living room and dining room are comfortable and "beachy" - just like you want for your beach get-away! The island colors and light, airy feel of this comfortable living space will lighten your spirit and entice you to lay back and let the tropics invade your senses.

The spacious master bedroom features a comfortable king bed, a dresser, a desk, and an attached master bath. The master bathroom features a large walk-in shower with two shower heads for a luxurious shower after the beach, the pool, or a day of exploring all that Siesta Key, Sarasota and the surrounding areas have to offer.

Two bedrooms are on the other side of the living area. The one bedroom has a comfortable queen bed, a desk and a dresser. The other bedroom has two comfy XL twin beds and a dresser. These bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower/tub combination.

The screened-in lanai has a very comfortable sectional, as well as a table where you can play cards, games or have a meal. The freeform salt water pool is heated and oh-so-wonderful for a morning dip, an after-the-beach dip, or for an evening swim with the gorgeous blue light illuminating the water.

Wonderful stay

We took a girls trip and stayed here. The property was amazing!! The house had absolutely everything you could want or need. The owner was great at communication and offered lots of great suggestions for places to eat and things to do. If I'm ever back in this area I would definitely stay here again!

Great location

Our first trip to Sarasota. We couldn’t be happier with our stay. This property is very close to a grocery store, Siesta Key beach, great restaurants but the pool was the best part for us. We spent a day getting shark teeth in Venice, went to Tropicana Field for a baseball game (45 min drive) and a day at the Siesta Key beach. The host was very helpful and responded quickly during our correspondences. I would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the house and will definitely return!

This was a work and visit family trip. My my husband and I both had desks to work at during the day. At night, we enjoyed the relaxing furniture in the outdoor screened patio. The colorful pool lights are fun to watch. Also, the house is close to beaches.

Amazing House and Location!

This was the perfect house for a Florida family beach vacation! The location is close to several beaches, Cresent beach was our favorite, less than 5 minutes away. The house was so clean and comfortable, and the pool was the best! The screened in patio was a favorite morning coffee spot. We loved everything about this property! Nancy is a great host and so easy to work with, she even let us stay a little longer on our check out day when our flight got moved! Excellent VRBO!

Little blue beach house

I just want to say wow- the property owner Nancy had everything at the house you need for a great beach getaway. Walking distance from a beautiful beach and all the beach accessories you can think of for the trip! Hands down will be booking again to stay here! The house itself was extremely clean and the backyard is top notch with the pool and bbq areas! You don’t want to miss out on this gem!

Lovely and relaxing!

Amelia House was just the spot for my family and I to relax. The house had a warm, cozy feel. The pool was magnificent on the hot FL days. It’s conveniently located just a short drive to the beach. The house is located in a great neighborhood that we strolled through several times. Nancy was fantastic to deal with and gave us some much info on what to do when we were in town. My husband and I decided Amelia House should become a yearly place we visit!

Felt right at home

My husband and I and our two dogs stayed here for a week and it was awesome! The place was super clean, and the kitchen was stocked with everything imagineable. The beds were very comfortable! The pool was heated to 88 degrees, and we spent our days in the pool, the ocean was way too cold! But we loved the beautiful beach, the sand is like powdered sugar. The dogs loved the fenced-in backyard! There are some really good restaurants in walking distance. We are looking forward to coming back.

Great family vacation house

This house was perfect for my family's FL beach vacation. We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenagers) and there was tons of space for everyone and their things. The home was exactly as shown in the photos. Everything you might need for the beach was in the shed out back, including a wagon, umbrellas, chairs, and bodyboards. Nancy, the owner, was fantastic. She was very communicative and so kind! The info she sent about the nearby area was really helpful. We visited several of her recommended restaurants and enjoyed them all. Highly recommend this property!

Wonderful vacation home!!

We have been coming down to the Sarasota area for four years and "hands down", this is our favorite spot! The home was clean, comfy beds and great kitchen. Was WELL stocked with all the dishes, glass ware, etc..We especially loved the fenced-in yard and heated pool! The walk to the beach was about 17 minutes and easy bike ride to Siesta Village! Lovely!

Comfort abounds at Amelia House! The online pictures do not convey the total picture of cleanliness, convenience, and tropical character of this home away from home. Everything at your fingertips, and I do mean everything!......that you will need to feel right at home. The beds are extremely comfortable, the pool is so relaxing and the ambiance of the garden is just what you expect of your tropical getaway! In spite of covid 19 restrictions, our family thoroughly enjoyed our time exploring Sarasota and the surrounding areas......and Nancy our hostess, was extremely welcoming and accommodating to all our needs. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Home

This home is by far the best we have found. Location to everything is close. Restaurants, shopping, best beaches around. The house is spacious and has every amenity you could possibly want or need. The pool is very private and the back yard is very big and beautifully landscaped. Plenty of room for families with children. There is even a protective baby bumper fence for the pool! Nancy was the best vrbo/ home away host I’ve dealt with in all the stays we have booked! She gave us any bit of information we could have possibly needed ! Very sweet and friendly lady. We cannot wait to return. You will NOT be disappointed when you stay in this home!

Nancy, the fantastic host

Everything, from A to Z went perfectly well. Nancy's house is an ideal gateway for leisure, rest or a round trip around Sarasota area as we did. The lush garden and the pool add an extra value even if beaches are only a minutes reach away. When we had issues that required plumber's intervention Nancy acted upon immediately and we got it fixed within hours. Nancy gave as plenty of ideas and hints that are worth to follow. I would wish to always have hosts like Nancy. You contribution to the Sarasota leg of our FL tour was a fine piece! Sincere thanks!

Five Stars and Fabulous for Families!

My husband and I booked Amelia House for a family vacation with our young children (2 years and 3 months) and his parents. We’ve stayed in a lot of vacation rentals before and this is by far one of THE BEST homes we’ve stayed in. The house is exactly how it is pictured, sits in a quiet neighborhood and is extremely close to the beach and attractions. Nancy is a SUPER host and has ensured the house is stocked with top notch amenities, such as kitchen tools, washer/dryer, towels, beach essentials, comfortable beds and linens, and more. She was very easy to communicate with and provided some great recommendations of places to eat and things to do around the area. We felt very safe and comfortable having our very active 2 year-old at the Amelia House, especially with the pool. Nancy had a baby gate up around the pool upon arrival and the fenced in backyard provided a safe space for him to run in. My only complaint is that we didn’t stay longer. I highly recommend booking the Amelia House for your vacation to Siesta Key/Sarasota area. We will definitely be staying there again in the future!

Where does one even start to describe this home and experience. 5 star doesn’t even do it justice; if I could check 10 stars I would! Let me list it all… 1) amazing homeowner who cares about her renters! Went above and beyond to check in to see if we need anything. Thank you Nancy! 2) amazing 3 bed/ 2 bath house with plenty of space and privacy. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful pool and close to the beach 😁 Comfortable beds! Very very clean home! Plenty of space to relax inside and out! 3) 20-25 min drive from Sarasota airport. 4) plenty of restaurants to choose from; my favorite is the Grillsmith! Amazing quality food and service with reasonable prices. 5 star place in my opinion. 5) now I know why siesta key beach was ranked as one of the best in the country! No hot sand 😄….gentle waves and clean environment. 6) check in/out process was simple. All positives about this rental! I assure you, you will not be disappointed. We will be repeat renters! Perfect Vacation Rental

This property has it all and is the perfect place for a relaxing, socially distanced vacation. The pool and backyard area are so serene and private. The heated pool is bathtub warm. The property landscaping is beautiful. The sunroom is relaxing and a great place for coffee and tea every morning. The area is so quiet and the house so comfortable with soft blankets and comfortable furniture. Everything is set up so conveniently that cooking is a breeze and the kitchen is so well appointed. The large master bedroom and bathroom gives you tons of space to spread out and the twin bedroom is perfect for small children. The property is located about one mile from Crescent Beach and 2 miles from Siesta Key beach (both with beautiful sunsets). Crescent Beach is easily walkable with side walked streets. The property is located within walking distance to a number of restaurants and shopping. If that doesn’t get your attention then the owner of the property will. Nancy is absolutely wonderful and does an amazing job keeping an immaculately clean property! She is there to help with anything! She can suggest everything from restaurants to recommendations for site seeing and transportation. I have been traveling using Homeaway/VRBO for 15 years and cannot think of a better property manager, but more importantly, a better person than Nancy. I hope that we can visit more often and enjoy this property again and again in the future!

Stop looking and book!!!

I will start off by saying Nancy is phenomenal to work with. She was prompt, informative, sweet, and answered all questions we may have had. She sent out suggestions for things to see,places to eat, and parks to play at before the trip. Closer to the trip she corrdinated our rental of baby supplies (ABC rentals, also highly recommend) for drop off and pick up. She ensured the pool was warm enough for our infant and was overall spectacular to work with. The house was spectacular, clean, and cozy. She had everything you would need for the trip. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, silverware,dishware(even plastic for kids). Bedrooms had extra linens and pillows. She provided dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, garbage bags, dish towels and rags,tolietries(need shampoo,conditioner). Outside she had coolers, floaties, sandtoys, shark teeth scoopers(casperson beach), flashlights, sun tent, beach chairs, beach umbrella, wagon for the beach, beach towels. We literally did not need to buy anything but sunscreen, beverages, and food. Everything was close to the house and a quick drive to the beach. We never walked to the beach due to our infant and toddlers but you could with older kids!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE JUST FOR NANCY AND HER HOSPITALITY!!!! We loved it so much we booked again for next year!!!

Peacefully perfect place!!!!!

This house + Nancy = a perfect vacation experience. Let’s summarize the fundamentals first: the house is spotless, the beds super comfortable, the pool is crystal clear. The kitchen is equipped with every pan, plate, utensils you could need. The neighborhood is quiet. The house has a beachy, zen, relaxing vibe. The drive to the beach is 5 min. We went to all the beaches on the island and I was so happy to return back to this house to relax and jump in the pool. There’s cable, books, and games if you want to relax at the house and enjoy some downtime. The best thing about the house is Nancy! She is simply put an amazing host. She really cares and wants you to be comfortable and have a great time. She gives great recommendations for food and things to see, etc. There were a couple times I had a question or needed help—she answered me right away and went above and beyond with assistance. Even before I arrived she was prompt with all her responses and very kind!! I’d never been to Sarasota but suggestions I was able to get the inside scoop on so many things and it really made all the difference. My brother has special needs and when I asked her for places to take him she really thought about the answer and we had a great time. We all thought she was amazing. Vacations are meant to be spent out and about, but to me part of the experience is where you rest in between all the fun. I could not have asked for a better place. Thank you Nancy! Can’t wait to return!

Amelia House is a vacation from your vacation!

This is the best vacation house! Very cute from the outside and has a small gate on front patio for small kids/ pets. It's a fully fenced in back yard that looks like a tropical paradise. It's 3 bedrooms with 2 twin beds, a queen bed, and a huge master with a king bed. Perfect for large families like mine. Its spacious with plenty of room but still cute and comfy. The house is decked out in beautiful Beach decore. All the furniture, beds, bedding and outdoor furniture are in great condition. The beds were comfortable and we watched Netflix at night. We all were so sad we had to leave! We loved the all the outdoor seating and the screened in patio. Nancy put a childproof gate around for my small children. That is a lifesaver. It's so nice not to worry if they wanted to play in the back yard. My kids stayed in the pool all weekend and loved the color changing pool light. The water is amazing! Literally bathwater! We used the kitchen and outdoor grill and everything worked great. It was such a great time. We had been in Universal Studios for 4 days prior, everyone agreed we should have skipped it and just stayed at Amelia House. Nancy was an amazing host! She actually contacted me to give me the info on check in/ check out and gave us some great recommendations. This is what a vacation should be, enjoying your stay and relaxing. By the way, Siesta Key is absolutely beautiful! So worth the drive! The beach is just a min down the street. Perfect location!
