Newly renovated 4 Bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom home on the Rapid River. Tucked in a tranquil and relaxing location where you'll feel like you're away from everything. The no-wake boat ride along the river to the Torch Lake Sandbar takes less than 10 minutes, or you can walk a half mile to the public beach entrance. There is a brand new dock going out to the central part of the river for boats with outboards up to 25'. The river is a very fine silted bottom, so swimming isn't recommended.

Approx. 15-minute drive away from Lake Michigan, Elk Rapids, Bellaire, Turtle Creek Casino, Schuss Mountain, Kalkaska, a lot of excellent golf courses, and more...

Traverse City is about a 35-minute drive, and Charlevoix is about 45 minutes.

Wonderful!!

Our extended family of 7 were thrilled to return to this fabulous rental. The home is immaculate upon arrival. We have never wanted for any item, it has everything one could possibly need. The deck is spacious with plenty of seating. We especially like the layout of the home as it’s large enough to spread out. Hopefully we will be able to return again and again. It’s location is quiet and peaceful. Fun activities are minutes away.

Fabulous House and Owner

The owner's communication was excellent and he went above and beyond to make sure our stay was stress free. The large living room was fantastic to socialize and hang out as a family. Having a dock is what sold us on the property and it didn't disappoint. We spent most of our time on the water and the easy access to Torch Lake was awesome. The location was great too. After four years of different VRBO homes, we have finally found a home we want to continue to come back to for our yearly family vacation.

Serene setting

The location of this property was so nice! A quiet location with lots of wildlife but still a short boat ride over to Torch Lake. All the amenities that you could possibly need in a vacation property, we wanted for nothing here as the home is fully stocked and then some! Will definitely visit again!

Family vacation

Home away from home

This was a beautiful property that reminded us of home. Set in the woods, surrounded by wildlife and quite tranquil. This house despite having a dock was not suitable for our 27 ft speed boat but that was ok as the marina was only a 5 min drive away. This property would be perfect for anyone who has a fishing boat or pontoon so that they can access the Torch River with ease. We will definitely be back!!!

The home accommodated our family very well. I’m a bit picky about cleanliness, it was spotless upon arrival. The home is very well appointed. Everything we needed was provided. The owner was very easy to communicate with and answered my numerous questions before arrival. Overall an excellent property!

Amazing

Perfect home for our group of two families that stayed a week to enjoy Torch Lake. The home was well stocked, especially the kitchen where we cooked over half our meals at the home. Which was a great surprise because normally most rentals are limited on their kitchen supplies, but this home had everything you could think of to cook a homemade meal. Located on the river with just a short boat ride over to Torch made it nice and quiet to relax and even had deer passing through the yard almost every day. Highly recommend!

Fantastic location and beautiful home!

This is definitely an outstanding place to stay! The owner made our stay feel like home away from home! Very welcoming and easy to communicate with! We had an outstanding week here and didn’t want to leave! Very nice location, quiet and convenient to all of the chain lakes area! Be sure to use the Torch River Marina for any of your boating needs! Great week

Beautiful and peaceful. Loved watching the wild life in the river. Pontoons great to dock, our inboard outboard could not get in but there is a ramp 5 minutes away. Overall fantastic house and the owners are very easy to work with!

Beautiful

We only stayed one day but we wish we had stayed longer. It was a beautiful home, clean and spacious. Pantry was fully stocked and everything you might need was indeed available. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to everyone. We even got to see a family of deers in the backyard. It was amazing!!

Quick trip

A few friends and I decided to do a quick overnight getaway and boy did we luck up! Mandy’s home was absolutely amazing! It was beautiful, clean and well kept! The house was spacious with more than enough room for all of us and we literally had everything we needed right there in the house. Mandy was amazing as well. Communication rocked, she was very attentive, checking in on us periodically to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and had everything we needed. She answered all questions, gave tips and helped us find the nearest grocery store prior to us even arriving. At some point, a few of her beautiful ceramic plates fell into the sink and broke while washing and she was not upset at all. I felt terrible and offered multiple times to replace them and she refused. I can’t speak enough about how clean and well kept the home was. Mandy truly exceeded all expectations! We can’t wait to come back in the summer to enjoy the views and river and we will definitely be staying longer this time around. Thank you so much for an amazing experience!!

Exceeded our expectations

This is a beautifully decorated and meticulously clean house in a quiet, lovely setting near Rapid River. The house is thoughtfully stocked and we lacked nothing. We enjoyed the short walk down to the river and spent time soaking in the scenery. We will definitely revisit and would encourage anyone else to check out the property. Thank you for a fun, memorable stay!

Rapid River Vaca

I can't say enough good things about this property and the terrific host Mandy. The house itself was sparkling clean upon arrival and was also VERY well stocked which was a huge plus as we did much of our breakfast and dinners at the house. The house itself was roomy for our group of 6 adults and 3 young children. The outdoor patio w/grill and huge built in outdoor table was perfect for dinners in the evenings. We spent a lot of time on the water and the new dock was convenient to keep the boats at over our week long stay. We had a slight logistics issue before our stay and when I contacted Mandy she was quick to communicate and helped resolve our issue very quickly which I cannot thank her enough for. Great memories over our fantastic week were made here and we look forward to a future stay here again!
