Welcome to 6 Bears Cabin, formerly known as Dawson's Peak.

This beautiful cabin is located just two minutes from the center of the charming town of Valle Crucis, and a very short drive over to Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk! Exuding rustic charm, this three bedroom three bath is perfect for families or friend groups looking for the perfect mountain getaway with all the modern conveniences of home.

Enjoy evenings by the wood-burning fireplace in the living room after a fun day exploring the nearby towns. The master bedroom is conveniently located on the main level and offers a king size bed and ensuite bathroom. Also on the main level is a quaint dining area adjacent to the fully stocked kitchen. Easily access the deck from the main level to enjoy your morning coffee outside with the deer and birds!

Head upstairs to find the spacious queen bedroom and sleeping loft (futon available) with a Foosball table to use. There is also another full bathroom in the hallway with a shower/tub combo. Lastly, the lowest level of this home features a fun game room that is complete with a pool table and two arcade games. Also on this level is a bunk room that features one twin-over-twin bunk and one twin-over-full bunk. This bedroom has its own bathroom. Just outside, take a dip in the relaxing hot tub or roast marshmallows by the campfire while making precious memories with your friends and family.

Must see nearby attractions include the Valle Crucis Mast General Stores, Grandfather Winery, the Tweetsie Railroad, Sugar and Beech Mountain ski resorts, the Watauga River, and Grandfather Mountain! All located within 10-25 minutes!

Additional notes:
- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am
- This home accepts four mature, well-trained dogs with pet rent of $25/night per dog plus tax.
- Firewood for the outdoor fire pit and indoor wood-burning fireplace may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax.
- Flat, gravel parking area for up to 3-4 small/medium vehicles
- Returning guests to this home may receive a 10% discount off the rent (not to be stacked with other discounts).
- This home is located off of a steep gravel road and visitors should come prepared with AWD or 4WD vehicles with high ground clearance. During winter months where inclement weather is likely, it is imperative that guests come prepared with a proper vehicle suited for driving on mountain terrain. Chains may also be necessary during times of snowfall. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
