Welcome to The Octopus Garden! Inspired by the Beatles song, this stylish home is the ultimate family getaway. The open floor-plan upstairs opens up to the spacious deck. Downstairs, the bar area opens to a shady spot to cool off with a frozen drink. This home is fully stocked with beach chairs, toys, tents, and umbrellas. Toss a cooler in the beach wagon and it's a short, 5 minute walk to Pirates Beach! Rinse off in the outdoor shower, power up the margarita machine, and throw something on the BBQ!
Rest assured there is plenty of room for all your friends and family at this 4-bedroom beauty. With 2 queen beds, 1 king bed, and 2 sets of bunk beds, this wonderful property has it all. You'll find everything you need, from a washing machine to WiFi, to make your stay convenient and enjoyable. The 3 bathrooms are equipped with hair dryers and showers. One bath also includes a bathtub. Plus, there are 2 additional living rooms with sofa beds for extra sleeping. Perfect Beach Weekend at The Octopus Garden

Our group of 11 had such an amazing time at The Octopus Garden! The house was super comfortable and had plenty of space for everyone to relax. The best part was how close it was to the beach. It was just a short walk and we were there every day. We spent the weekend enjoying the sun, hanging out by the water, and making great memories together. It was the perfect spot for a fun and easygoing getaway.

Family Vacation

We had a fantastic time at the property. It was very clean upon arrival and it had everything we needed for an easy stay away from home and while on vacation. We loved how the place was set up with several rooms for multiple families. It was an easy walk or drive to the beach and that's where we spent most of our time while in Galveston. We would recommend this place to family and friends, it was a great location and the perfect spot for our kids/grandkids to experience the beach for the first time!

Great Island Getaway

Absolutely love this property. The short distance to the beach was a pleasant stroll and the beach itself was perfect for our weekend getaway. The house was amazing and the owner thought through everything a family with kids could need. Right down to the Octopus story books!! But it is also a perfect getaway for a group of adults just wanting to chill island style. Highly recommend this property for a vacation get away!!

100% the best rental we’ve ever booked. Clean, clean, clean! Amy is a wonderful host! Way more than you’ll ever need for your stay, complimentary toiletries to get you started, k- cups, board games, extra trash bags and beach items (tarps, chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, wagons to haul it). When I say beach items, this place is stocked - no need to bring or buy anything! Thanks Amy for sharing your amazing beach house with us:)

Fun Location

We had some issues with a musty smell in the basement and cleanliness upon arrival, but Amy was excellent to work with and had good communication the entire weekend to remedy any concerns. The house is a couple blocks away from the beach. Our 2 year olds were able to walk the entire way easily. Great extras such as beach toys, wagon, towels, games & books were appreciated. The bunk room was great for the kids. We really enjoyed staying in the upstairs area but if we went again, probably would plan to just not use the basement except for laundry.

We have kept the mini-splits running downstairs to deal with the musty smell and I have purchased a dehumidifier. Prom Weekend Getaway

Home was perfect for us. We had 2 families with 6 teenagers. 3 of them were attending prom nearby so we decided to make a fun weekend out of it. The kiddos didn’t have to drive far after prom and were able to enjoy the beach, games provided and watch a late night movie. The home has a 2nd refrigerator downstairs which really helped when we were grilling outside. Neighbors were nice. Short distance to the beach. They welcome golf carts. Host was great with communication.

Heaven In An Octopus’s Garden!

Our group had a fabulous time at The Octopus Garden! The house is exceptionally well done and includes some wonderful details! Decor is on point! Beds were very comfortable & bathrooms nice. Kitchen is very well stocked. Amy & family went above and beyond with additional details like several board games, grill supplies, and the over the top selection of beach toys, chairs, and wagons for the short walk to the beach. So well supplied she even has a beach canopy! Pro tip - if spending full day at beach, haul your stuff in car to set up as there is parking right by any of 3 access areas within blocks. Also - this is a no driving access beach area which makes it nice and quiet for families. We’ll be back for a stay in the Octopus Garden soon!!

Pirates Beach is a very special place. Not only is it a short drive into the bustling heart of Galveston with its fun shopping and amazing restaurants, it is also far enough out of the way that you can avoid the crowded beaches that accompany the seawall. We love our home and its location as it is just a short walk (5 minutes, we timed it!) to the beach.
