In diesem fabelhaften, neu erbauten, haustierfreundlichen Haus am Strand direkt am Golf von Mexiko erwarten Sie atemberaubende Aussichten, herrliche Sonnenuntergänge, Meeresbrisen und das Rauschen von Wellen am Ufer.
"Villa Delphinus" (benannt nach der springenden Delphinkonstellation) wurde 2008 erbaut und verfügt ��ber eine gro��e, umlaufende, teilweise überdachte Terrasse mit Panoramablick auf den Golf und die Bucht. Der Innenraum ist in dieses magische Licht des Meeres getaucht und verfügt über ein gewölbtes Wohnzimmer, Bambusboden, 2 Schlafzimmer mit Queensize-Betten, ein drittes Schlafzimmer mit einem Doppelstockbett und ein Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer, 2 Bäder mit Porzellanfliesen und geräumig offene Wohn-, Ess- und Küchenbereiche.

Amy was the BOMB!! Easy check in, awesome location,(fish off of deck)! Interior is a little worn, rails on deck need attention, one rail actually fell off but was able to retrieve when a toddler visited . But other than that I will specifically look for this one again just due to location. Repair man and staff were very friendly, and process was flawless.

Owner had canceled direct tv so we had to search harder to find things to watch we normally wouldn’t watch. Dish washer was very old & didn’t wash very well so we hand washed everything. Deck was in the process of being replaced the older section you had to be careful of nails coming up. Needs newer skillets everything we cooked stuck to them. Our stay was very windy and it rained a lot. Wished the place had an area on the deck that had a roof to sit but we knew this when we booked.

What an experience!

Wonderful week at the beach with the kids (18, 19, 20 & 21). We loved fished off the dock, going for walks on the beach and just hanging out. The house was perfect!

On the Water

It was an experience we've never had staying "ON" the water and it was fun! Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay. Parking and unloading was a task but was well worth the experience of being over the water. We will be back!

Heaven

The Villa was exactly as advertised and simply perfect in every way! From the constant sound of the water, to the views of sunrise and sunset. you could not ask for a prettier place on the planet :) Add to that it's pet friendly- we'll be making that 16 hour drive again!

Great Space

We had a great time. It was a beautiful house with a beautiful view. We got there just after a hurricane hit, but were busy cleaning up, and we had a much needed relaxing few days! Thankyou!

Great location with quiet beach

The property was clean and located directly on the water and beach. We loved it. There were miles of unpopulated Beach approximately one block away. The property manager checked in several times although we didn’t need anything.

The only issue I had was trying to get the outside key box to open,.

We all loved our stay there. Being right at the water was amazing and there was always a great breeze from the ocean so that made it really nice. We saw dolphins every day and that was pretty neat and at night you could feel the house sway from the waves. I would highly recommend this place if you want to be right on the ocean.

I felt like the house might fall in at any point in time. The deck was unstable, and I felt unsafe. Wiring under the house - didn't want my children near any of it - bathrooms filthy with mold. Not a huge deal, but it was not worth the price we paid. will not rent again nor recommend it to anyone.

4 day stay on beach

Overall I felt the home was comfortable with good amenities, though it’s a little dated with some wear. The location was great you can’t get any closer to the beach for sure. It was great for my husband and I and our teens. Hearing the waves throughout the night obs so peaceful! My only complaints are WiFi is slow, and we saw lots of roaches during our stay.

Location was amazing!

Our family of 5 had a great time at this property. The house was located right on the beach at the West end of the island which is not very busy. We fished right from the shore and spent all day every day on the lovely beach. The place had everything you need, but be sure to bring dish & laundry soap, your own toiletries, paper products, beach towels and chairs (you can always buy these items on the Island at the Ship & Shore, but it’s pricey). Would definitely rent this house again.

Nice Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Delphinus very much. The house is perfectly located near the west end of island. Very quiet area. Nice beach, nice wrap-around patio, well-appointed home. I should note: we visited the area in low season - as well as after the area being impacted by two late season hurricanes - so there were not a lot of restaurants open. The WiFi at the house was also very spotty, at best, so if planning to work or be "connected" while onsite, a visitor might want to plan for alternative internet source.

Wildness of Waves

This place is just unbelievable. The roar of the waves and the movement felt of the sea made for a most special time even though all the world seemed to be in a real fix with the flights being cancelled and people being tossed about like the waves. Really something! What a fantastic place that beautiful house is. There were 7 of us and plenty of room. Thank you. :)

Our stay

Water was clear. It was amazing to see all the sea life from the porch above the water. Overall it was an amazing trip. It was super relaxing which we needed after the work year we've had. Only negative thing we encountered. Was on the last night the water had come up significantly under the house and this made logs/ lumber come up with it. They kept crashing into the stilts of the house. Shaking/thunderous noises happened. It made it hard to sleep. Other than that it was a perfect stay!

Rolling Waves and Crashing Surf

Beautiful setting with the surf rolling under the house on stilts. Loved the sunny days and cloudy days. The house has a lot of deferred maintenance. Plus I did see a few cockroaches. Ick. The cleaners need to tend to the fan blades, the light fixtures and wipe down the counters behind the kitchen sink and where it is difficult to reach. The kitchen drawers were not clean. I found some pet hair on the equipment. But the setting was stupendous. For the money I would have expected the condition to be clean. MdeP

Marie, I'm so sorry the property was not up to the standard it should have been. I hope you called the office so we can get someone back out immediately. We want our guests to have the best vacation in our properties. I will ask housekeeping if we can schedule a deep clean. We are trying to get all of them completed before the summer vacations start. Great experience

Adam the property manager was very quick to respond to any and all questions. Breath taking scenery!! The house has some motion going on the entire time. If you have Equilibrium issues this is not the place for you. During the winter time this is not the place to think you’re going to eat out as there is nothing around you and I believe Walmart was 45 minutes away for groceries. If you were truly going to relax and have seclusion this is the perfect place.I personally wish there was more toiletries available. I marked it for people were going and it was just two of us and we ran out of toilet paper, along with dishwashing liquid the necessities at least have that in the contract. Luckily I took my own hair dryer because there was not one.

Gut: Sauberkeit, Check-in, Kommunikation und Lage

Great views!

The views were absolutely amazing. We enjoyed our time on the island and the slow pace. The barrier around part of the house (under the deck) is broken, and lots of rebar sticking out in places. There were some nails sticking out of the wood near the stairs, where the barrier is partially covered with sand. The pictures were misleading and taken a while ago as there are more houses around the house now. There was a piece of metal that looked like an old canopy tent frame sticking out of the sand, between the barrier and where my small children were playing. We tried pulling it up and could not so I contacted DIBR and offered to send pictures. I was told it was probably rebar, but they would send someone out, however; we never saw anyone. We will definitely be returning to the island, but will be staying in a different location.

Hi, thank you for staying with us. The pictures were taken in 2019. There is a new new neighbor NW of the property. We will do a walkthrough for nails sticking up on the decking. The partially covered stairs is good thing and all gulf side houses bury their bottom steps. This is important for when storms come. We did send someone out when you called. I do see where our maintenance person notated that he walked the entire perimeter of the house and could not find the described item. We should have talked to you at that point though to clarify and I apologize that we didn't. Thank you again for staying with us and I am very glad you enjoyed your time.
