Genießen Sie es, die Delfine vom "Czech Mate" aus zu beobachten, der einen Privatstrand zum Mississippi Sound / Bay hat! Unser Haus ist nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom West End Beach entfernt. Genießen Sie aus jedem Fenster einen malerischen Blick auf das Wasser (Golf & Sound)! Dieses schöne Haus verfügt über Granit, Fliesenboden, Zierleisten und einen offenen Grundriss. Entspannen Sie auf der hinteren Veranda und beobachten Sie die Tierwelt und die Boote an der wunderschönen Bucht oder von der Vorderseite des Hauses aus, indem Sie die Wellen des Golfs von Mexiko beobachten und hören. Nur wenige Schritte zum Strand des Sounds und zum Golf. Sie können im Sound direkt hinter dem Haus Kajak fahren. Ein Radweg führt vom West End durch die Stadt. Sie können Ihre eigenen Fahrräder mitbringen oder eines auf der Straße mieten. Es gibt 4 Schlafzimmer für 10 Personen (3 Queensize-Betten, 2 Einzelbetten und 2 Zustellbetten). 2 Badezimmer, wobei das Hauptbad eine ebenerdige Dusche hat. Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden gestellt. Haustiere erlaubt (maximal 2 Hunde und nicht erstattbar). Die Gebühr für Haustiere beträgt 75 USD pro Hund bei 2 Hunden. 100 Dollar für einen Hund. Rauchen ist nicht erlaubt. Es gibt 5 Fernseher (1 in jedem Schlafzimmer und 1 im großen Raum mit DVD-Player). Der Esstisch bietet Platz für 6 und es gibt 4 Barhocker an der Frühstücksbar. Die Ausstattungsmerkmale umfassen: Außendusche, Satellitenfernsehen. v., Internet, Geschirr, Besteck, Herdplatte, Topftopf, Geschirrspülmaschine, Mikrowelle, Herd, Backofen, Edelstahlkühlschrank, Kaffeemaschine, Waschmaschine / Trockner, Toaster, Brettspiele, Bücher, DVDs und Holzkohlegrill unter dem Haus. Die Mississippi Sound / Bay Seite hat gute Angelmöglichkeiten und Delfine werden oft sowohl vom Golf als auch vom Sound aus gesichtet. Sie können sich in der Hollywoodschaukel oder der Rattanseilschaukel unter dem Haus zurücklehnen und entspannen.

Um zum Golfstrand zu gelangen, müssen Sie nur ein paar Schritte über die Straße gehen und können ein Überdachungszelt, Stühle usw. aufstellen. Dies ist kostenlos zu tun. Für den Mississippi Sound / Bay Side Beach gehen Sie einfach die hinteren Stufen des Hauses hinunter und Sie haben Ihren eigenen Privatstrand bis zum Sound. West End Beach ist auch in der Nähe des Hauses.

Bitte lassen Sie Ihre Hunde mit einem Floh- und Zeckenschutzmittel behandeln. Nur zu Ihrer Information verlangt die Stadt Dauphin Island, dass alle Hunde an der Leine geführt und im Freien ordnungsgemäß gesichert werden. Außerdem müssen Hundeabfälle aus dem Hof, den Stränden und den öffentlichen Bereichen des Mietobjekts abgeholt und ordnungsgemäß entsorgt werden. Always a wonderful stay!!

Owners are wonderful! We have stayed here multiple times and will continue to do so. Home is perfectly located on the bay side within a couple minutes walk to the west end beach. Just across the street is access to the gulf. Hurricane Milton was coming in while we were there so every day was a red flag day on the gulf. PLEASE OBEY THE FLAGS!!! You can also now access the west end beach from the bay side which is nice!

We had a wonderful time staying in this home. The best part about this property is how private it is. The house was stocked with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable as well. This was our 2nd time staying in Dauphin Island and was by far the best rental experience. The owners were quick to respond to messages/requests. We will definitely be staying here again!

Absolutely beautiful! The location was perfect!

I can’t say enough great things about this location. The house was even nicer than the pictures. It was so easy to walk to either beach and made for a great vacation for our family. We typically went to the gulf side in the mornings and the sound side in the evenings to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. There were plenty of beach towels and bathroom towels. The beds were comfortable and the setup was great for our family. We also enjoyed the selection of board games. I can’t say enough great things! 10/10 recommend!

Very comfortable, great kitchen and laundry facilities. Owners very good at communicating. There are 5 tvs and a DVD player in the family room, but if you want to use your streaming services bring a fire stick or a similar device. The wifi does support that- no annoying buffering or connection problems.Bay access great, beach access not quite as easy but doable. Would recommend 👍

Czech Mate is the best

Wow, we drove 1000 miles and were tired and cold from the freezing Midwest. Czech Mate totally exceeded our expectations. You could see both the channel and the Gulf from the property. The cleanliness was way above average, especially considering all of the sand on the island. The communication was incredible, timely, and helpful. And the sunrises and sunsets not only were beautiful, but you could kind of see both from the front porch, and you only had to walk a few minutes to see both with an unobstructed view. Might be my new favorite place, and I would love to stay with Czech Mate again!

A little bit of Heaven

What a beautiful home. I just cannot say enough. It was immaculately clean, well-kept and ready for us as soon as we walked in the door. There was games and toys available for my kiddos along with gates for both the front and back decks so that they could go outside whenever they wanted to without risk falling down the steps. We were just steps away from the Gulf as well as the Sound, including our own little private oasis beach on the Sound side. Absolutely fantastic. There were clear instructions given for check-in and check-out along with details on the fridge in case we forgot anything. Communication was fantastic and any time I had a question I received an answer with no wait. I would highly recommend this property for anyone considering visiting this community. Thank you so much for allowing us to come into your home and to share this experience with my loved ones. We cannot wait to return!

Comfortable beach home

This beach house was spacious, with 2 bedrooms and a bath on either side of the open kitchen/family room, and quite clean and comfortable (especially the nice beds). Check-in was easy, and the owner provided details prior to arrival and responded quickly to questions during our stay. Plenty of dishware, kitchen supplies, games, books, and towels, including beach towels were provided. Hand soap and dish soap were available--bring detergent pods for the dishwasher. The beach across the street was disappointing, since there was limited space to put beach chairs and no where to walk with all the houses literally sitting in the ocean. However, beach access is close and it's easy to go back and forth. The house has a great location--just a few houses away and a quick walk to the nice public beach. Go early and there's no fee, and you can walk as far as you want with few people around. In addition, the sandy area on the bay is a lovely quiet place to relax and perhaps the best reason to choose this rental--that and it is pet friendly. Our little pup really liked relaxing on his mat on one of the home's porches or at the water's edge. Both porches have a good view and a clever gate to put at the top of the stairs if you need it for kids or pets.

Another perfect island visit!!

This was our 2nd time staying at the Czech Mate and we will certainly be back again! The house is very well stocked with dishes, pots/pans, and linens. Beds are very comfortable too! Communication with Molly and Cosette is always perfect and simple, which I appreciate. CenturyLink came out and upgraded the wi-fi while we were there and it is definitely an improvement from our first visit. Most importantly, we LOVE the location of this house!! If you don't want to walk on the beach, you can see the sunrise and the sunset from the front porch. Morning coffee on the front porch watching the dolphins in the Gulf is a daily treat. Watching the birds enjoy low tide from the back porch (bay side) is equally as tranquil. The house is so far west, there is no traffic and it is just simply the most peaceful place. If you are looking for a place to literally just GET AWAY, you have found it!! 100+ stars***** NOTE: There is a lot of construction happening on the island right now....some new construction, some hurricane repair, and also some sand moving equipment. Be aware there is a checkpoint in place at the West End to reduce traffic in order to give the big equipment room to work. Kelly and Ronnie Kansas City, MO

Great location

Home is in a great location. We enjoyed being able to alternate going to to bay or beach side. Lots of games available to play, kayaks to borrow, and roll a way beds. Sleeping arrangements accommodated our large family well. We had an issue with one shower having lots of mold and mildew but the washing machine was the biggest concern. The towels all smelled really bad when they became damp. This is probably because the door on the front loading machine wasn’t left open. We didn’t feel comfortable washing laundry in the machine with the mold all along the inside seal of the washer. The owners were quick to respond and sent someone to clean the shower and the standing water in the washing machine between the seal and tub; however, the mold couldn’t be removed without replacing the inside seal. This didn’t occur before we left so we weren’t able to wash anything. A washing machine/dryer is a big must for our large family when traveling on vacation so this was a disappointment. The owners are very responsive and did get the initial concerns addressed 3 days into our week long stay but that still didn’t allow us to wash laundry since the necessary repair wasn’t done. Other cleanliness issues included mold under the rims of sinks and in the kitchen sprayer as well as dirty skillets in cabinets. The pots/pans are needing replaced so they are difficult to clean when non stick coating has been scratched up. The home is in a nice location and maintained but housekeeping needs addressed

When we entered Czech Mate it was even better than the photos! It’s very clean; decorated nicely; the temperature was set at 70 with the quiet ceiling fans going; beautiful views of the Gulf from the front windows and the Bay from the back windows and doors. The couch and loveseat were perfect for me to sit on while reading when it rained. My husband loved the recliner. The beds we slept in were comfortable; the ceiling fan in the Gulf side queen bedroom is quiet and positioned to keep the bed cool at night (so important to a woman of a certain age, lol!). I loved seeing the all the books although I was reading one already on my Kindle.The outside shower is located perfectly on the lower stairs, so you don’t have to walk in the sand again from under the house after using it. We were there 8 nights and had no issues at all - there were plenty of bath and kitchen towels; even beach towels although we’d brought our own; nice pots and pans and plenty of dishes and silverware. I appreciated the list of restaurants on the fridge with closed days noted. We LOVED being able to walk to the nice private beach on the Bay side (my and the dogs favorite). It was nice to enjoy the waves and view on the Gulf side also (thank you Molly for the map that eliminated confusion about where we could sit!). We kayaked one day and it was amazingly peaceful and beautiful paddling up to West Beach - we even saw 2 dolphins! Sitting in the swing under the house was nice too. Great house!

We had an amazing time at Czech mate. Our group ranged from 4-40 and a great time was had by all. Nothing lacked at this property. Kids enjoyed all the games, kayaks and even caught blue crabs with the trap. The property was clean, and spacier than we anticipated. the bay side that the house backs up too was perfect for our group. We had the full beach experience without ever walking over to the gulf side. We even watched dolphins just past the oyster cages on several occasions. Fishing was also great for the kids. Only complaint is the trip went by too fast… would recommend 10/10

Nothing short of perfection!

We absolutely loved the house. The floor plan is amazing with Gulf and/or Bay views from all major rooms. The description is accurate then some! The swings under the house catch the gulf breeze and are very enjoyable. Both porches offer spectaculars views and plenty of seating. Plenty of utensils for meal prep in the kitchen. The living area is spacious and bright. Both bathrooms are spacious. The house was clean and organized. The first couple of days we had rain showers. It was very relaxing. We enjoyed those rainy days very much.We loved the location of the house. A very short walk to the Bay as well as the Gulf. Both areas have nice beaches for setting up a canopy and beach chairs. We set up beachside between 2 neighboring houses. The shelling is absolutely amazing. Piles of beautiful offerings from the Gulf. We were there the week of July 4th and our area was not at all crowded. We were a short drive from restaurants and gift shops. We sat on the front porch and watched the fireworks. We will stay again. It was the perfect beach house. Side note…my personal favorite were the books. Shelves of books. I read 2 while we were there. Perfect summer reads! We highly recommend Chech Mate!! Our family has been vacationing on beautiful Dauphin Island, Alabama for years. It is our peaceful sanctuary & we would start to dread to leave the island days before we had to go back to Tennessee. God has blessed us immensely by allowing us to finally have a permanent home on the island. Words cannot describe how thankful we are to our Lord for giving us this peace of heaven on such a picturesque island. The house was named “Czech Mate” due to our Czechoslovakian ancestry. From seeing dolphins to swimming in the waves of the gulf or bay or watching the beautiful sunsets in the evening (Dauphin Island is the Sunset Capital of Alabama), we cannot get enough of this amazing place. We know you will enjoy our home & incredible Dauphin Island as much as we do!!

Dauphin Island, Alabama is such a unique, quaint, beach town. We love the quietness of the island & the beauty & charm. We like that Dauphin Island is not overrun by tourist sites, but has many fun activities for all ages. We chose this location for it's closeness to the Gulf & the Bay/Mississippi Sound. We have the best of both worlds, with the Gulf & the Sound just steps from our home. We also have a private beach behind the house, & we love the West End of the island.

We wanted to see & hear the Gulf/Ocean waves from our home & the Mississippi Sound, so this was the absolute perfect place for us! It never gets old opening the curtains in the morning & seeing the fins of dolphins break the surface. The sunsets are beautiful from our location & the peace & tranquility of our area is a sanctuary to us.
