I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay at our villa. The house has been completely renovated since this review. There is a new dining area with seating for 8 people, as well as a high chair and a booster for the little ones. I hope you will stay in our villa again and enjoy the new renovations and decor.

Hi Dawn, I am totally confused. You were in the house an entire week before contacting the management company. When you did, they came over nearly every day to address whatever issues you were having. At no time did you ever contact me, yet you assume I don't care and that the property is just a cash cow. No water? When was there no water in the house? This makes no sense at all. The house is a self-catering rental -- not a hotel. You knew this from the listing and I also sent a welcome guide with suggestions about things to bring with you -- if you have room in luggage. We do not provide tea bags, coffee, spices, or food of any kind as they could possibly end up being tampered with. This is for your safety. Hotels can provide this stuff as there is always staff on site. You mentioned having visited the atea several times and stayed in villas. I am wondering why you didn't re-book any of them. Just wondering. Guest houses, like hotel rooms have very short windows of time between guests to change all the linens (which are provided by management), clean, and get ready for the next guest. Deep cleans (carpet shampoos, blinds, paint touch ups, power washing etc) occur 2 to 3 times a year during slower periods. I am sorry that the house didn't meet with your expectations but, again, you said absolutely nothing to me and were in the house a week before you said anything to the management. One further note: When you rent a house like mine you are getting the full house with no owner on site. The house has 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, lots of living areas, a private screened pool, all in a quiet neighborhood for the price per night (or less) of 1 hotel room. Guest houses are generally booked about 150 days, more of less, per year. However, the AC, heat, pool, water, electricity, taxes, Management and maintenance fees, repairs, pest control, and HOA fees have to be paid regardless. In Central Florida these are quite high. This property is not a "cash cow"-- far from it -- in fact it doesn't generally even break even. We keep the house because we-- the owner--like to visit in the winter for a break from the cold.
