I’m very glad you enjoyed the beautiful lake views, sunsets, fenced deck, and convenient location. I’d like to address the concerns you raised: · Heating Issue: Our cottage has central AC and heat. When you called on Friday morning, I arrived within 10 minutes and turned on the furnace—it simply required flipping the switch on the wall. If I had been notified the evening before, I would have been happy to assist immediately so you wouldn’t have been uncomfortable overnight. · Water Pressure: Water pressure is managed by Sherkston Resort. Had there been a resort-wide problem, all owners would have been notified, but no such notice was received during your stay. · Bath Tub: I did not observe a hole in the tub, otherwise it will be a serious plumbing issue. · Follow-Up: On Thursday after check-in, I emailed to confirm everything was going smoothly at our cottage, and you replied that “all good.” I also checked in with you in person on Friday after addressing the furnace, and you indicated you were comfortable at the cottage. You also mentioned that you like my treats especially the spring rolls. They were tasty. We chatted about your plan to Port Colborne for the Canal and would pick an Italian restaurant. I also had good time with your 10 months old dog! · Golf Cart Traffic: The resort’s 15 km/h speed limit is enforced by their security team. I’ll forward your observation to resort management for awareness. · Proximity & Noise: The resort’s layout, visible in listing photos, places units in close proximity. Quiet hours (11 p.m.–8 a.m.) are enforced by the resort, including for activities at Wyldewood Beach Club. · My Residency: Sherkston spans about 560 acres, and while I own several cottages there, my personal cottage is located in a completely different area from the one you stayed in. My presence in the park simply allows me to respond quickly to guests need assistance, just like I had resolved your heating issue. I regret if it gave you any concerns about privacy. I thought you felt uncomfortable because I saw you bought two dogs to our cottage and you only paid one pet fee – perhaps this was an oversight. Your honest feedback helps me continue improving the guest experience. I truly appreciate the time you took to share your thoughts, and I hope that—despite these issues—the sunsets and location left you with some fond memories of your stay. I also appreciate your understanding that, while you had requested a cancellation shortly before check-in, I needed to follow VRBO’s established cancellation policy, which protects both guests and hosts.
