Incredible location! Only two minute walk to the beach. The pool was amazing, and there was plenty of space for our entire party. Our biggest concern was the communication with the host was difficult at times -- but this was rectified after our trip with Akers Ellis, which we appreciated. Overall, amazing stay!

This was a delightful home to stay in. Everything we expected and more so.We had one hiccup but it was promptly addressed and fixed! Would definitely stay here again.

great house, great beds, dampness and mildew was a problem for several of us

The unattached bedroom was very damp and heavy mildew. The prop mgr brought us an air filter which helped a lot but not completely. IT appears the owners are trying to rectify the situation but it was not apparent at all that we would be having to deal with this. The main house had a humidity of over 70 even though we had the air conditioning on. Several of us had sinus issues byt the time we left due to the dampness. IT is not like any other house we have stayed out for the past 10 years on Kiawah. People should know that this is an issue for this amazing home. IT is so close to the beach and the property is very lovely. The pool was lovely. The kitchen was very well stocked with excellent pots and pans. The beds were very comfortable unlike many rentals.

70 Forestay Court - Seasoned Kiawah renting guests

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented large houses on Kiawah for the past several years and though this house was clean, comfortable and well situated, it didn't provide us with the amenities we are accustomed to when we rent a home for 10 people. With a large family, we cook a loot and the kitchen was lacking large pots, pants and various containers to make this work efficiently for so many people. The pots were WAY to small to cook for a large group! there was also only 2 dishtowels available to dry the dishes and that was largely insufficient. The chairs around the main dining room table were uncomfortable and the lack of a well situated outdoor shower/ rinsing area made it impossible not to bring sand back in the home and in the pool. Finally, the air conditioning units located on the side of the garage made for a very noisy sleep ( or should I say lack off) on the detached bedroom, above the garage Other than that, the house was fine & comfortable. I am sure the next large family of renters will appreciate you taking care of these issues. Best Regards

Wonderful vacation but property disappointing

The location of the house is fantastic with its proximity to the beach. The layout of the house is great for families. The maintenance and condition of the house and furnishings. were disappointing and certainly not up to the expectations of a house of that value in Kiawah. The upholstery on the dining room chairs and upholstered chairs was dirty. We felt as if we should put a towel down on the dining chairs before we sat on them. The pads on the outdoor dining chairs were filthy as well. We just took them off when we sat in them. The washing machine was full of mildew. The kitchen sink was dirty and had mildew as well. The trash cabinet would not close (it completely broke and they came to fix it but it still would not go in) so we left it open throughout the stay. The kitchen was poorly furnished. We found one pot holder, no dish towels, limited sizes of pots and pans, no baking sheets and chipped coffee mugs. The upstairs king mattress needed to be replaced (dented in the middle.) There was only room for one car in the garage since the owners keep one there. There was a lot of junk in the garage that other renters must have left. There were outdoor pots on the porches/decks but they were empty or the plants were neglected. The house needs a good pressure washing. We had a wonderful stay in Kiawah in spite of the shortcomings of the house.

Beautiful Home

We rented this property for our 30 year college reunion. We had 5 couples and the house was perfect. We enjoyed the pool, it is a short walk to the beach, the beach is beautiful, the house had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Great location

Loved the home, great proximity to the beach. Had some trouble with hot water in the pool house and indoor upholstery/outdoor cushions could use an update due to general wear and tear but overall a great stay with friends!

Grandparents on the first floor master bedroom with all grandchildren and their parents on the second level. The house is very close to the beach, and we had an easy time getting toddlers and babies to the ocean. The house is well-stocked - lots of supplies in the kitchen. Comfortable beds and lots of space. Wrap around porches were excellent and relaxing - nothing like reading a book, sipping a cocktail and listening to the waves crash onto Kiawah's shore!

The only constructive criticism I would give is about the alarm. We set the alarm the first night and it was accidentally set off the following morning. There was no code given for the alarm in the binder of information or the app. It would have been helpful to find it in either of those places.
