Luxury 4-Bedroom Condo with Panoramic Ocean Views!

Welcome to our Kona Beach Home at Hale Kai O’Kona! A Spectacular Ocean front Condo located on the incredible Western Shores of the beautiful Big Island. Our Vacation home has been completely remodeled from top to bottom. It is close to everything (Town, shops, beach, boogie boarding, surfing, snorkeling, harbor, activities) yet private for your relaxing stay at your beach home-away-from-home.

Our home has 2 levels, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Modern coastal décor is noted throughout the house with custom flooring, high end finishes, flat screen TVs, and custom live edge wood bar. Updated and fully stocked kitchen. The entire home has central air conditioning as well as ceiling fans throughout the home for added comfort. We also have a washer and dryer in the condo for your convenience.

Hale Kai O’Kona is located on the ocean side of the famous Ali’I Drive. Our home is so close to the ocean, you can toss a shell from the lanai and hit water. We have two three-sided lanais that offer incredible views of the ocean. The fourth side of the lanais are all glass sliding doors so that you can also enjoy the same ocean view from the inside! The condo is an end unit for the ultimate privacy.

There are dolphins and many other sea creatures that pass by daily. We have a special little know beach just a few hundred feet away that Hoku (turtles) visit through out the day. You will enjoy spectacular sunsets every night year-round. During the peak season, whales swim and often breach right in front of the condo which is fun to watch from the lanais. You will also see dolphins year-round.

Close by is a small private cove with a sandy beach that is kid friendly, shallow and protected. Turtles live there and they are very friendly and love to come swim up to you!! They are protected so please do not touch!

One of the most incredible snorkeling spot on the Big Island is about a mile or so away with easy access for all ages and snorkeling levels. It is actually know though out the world for one of the best snorkeling and diving spots that can be found.

Our condo is located close to everything you need: 10 minutes to downtown Kailua-Kona shops and restaurants, snorkeling, surfing, diving, boating, tons of water fun activities, golf, sandy beaches . . . You name it! We love our guests to share what we have found too! Great times with family and friends in a wonderful place creating special memories that last a lifetime.
*** Kona International Airport (KOA) is 20 minutes away.



*** Please note that we do require a 3 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY. Single night stays are not allowed. Two nights stays maybe accepted if needed. Holidays, high season, and Ironman rates will be higher than our regular nightly rate ***

Our concierge went above and beyond to take the time to greet us and show us around this beautiful home. Communication was flawless, our host so accommodating for our last minute booking. The house had everything we could possibly need AND MORE! The most beautiful, prime location on Ali'i drive offered us access to tide pooling on the rocks and a seemingly private beach. We will be back!

This VRBO was amazing! There was plenty of space for our family of 7 (all adults). The layout was great and had a separate room and bathroom on the main level for our married couple. The master bedroom was beautiful overlooking the ocean and had its own lanai. The overall views were incredible and we enjoyed going out on the rocks and looking for little critters as well as turtles or just watching the surf. We were under the impression this area was private but it is a public area with shore access along the side of the VRBO. This was of no consequence though. The public respected the private lanais. This VRBO was very clean and had a lot of amenities - big kitchen to cook with a great assortment of dishes, pots, pans,etc., easy to hook up to WiFi, beach towels and chairs and sun umbrellas. It is in a great location to main shopping and restaurants in Kona as well as a couple of fun beaches in Magic Sands (1mile South) and Kahalu’u Beach Park (3-4 miles South) where there was really good snorkeling in shallower waters. It’s also centrally located to travel to other island sites. There is only one parking spot within the gate but we had no problems finding close street parking right outside the gate for our second car. The property managers kept in good communication and we had a very easy check-in process with an opportunity to check-in a hour early. We definitely would stay here again and recommend this VRBO!

A True Gem!

This is one of those places that is a true gem! (I mean you don’t want others to know how great it is…because you don’t want to share). That said - there is SO MUCH to love about this rental! It’s RIGHT ON WATER! They weren’t kidding, you can toss a rock and hit the rocky, moody, wonderfully splashy beach! Tide pools were plentiful. Do I want to swim and snorkel right there? No! BUT that’s not why you are there…let’s face it, Kona (as a whole) is not a place where you “drop and dive” into the water! BUT, OMG the water from this condo! It’s amazing! We spent every morning and evening on the Lani! First with a cup of coffee (great maker inside and provided coffee for the first bit)….and then in the evening with a beverage of choice. OMG - the water, the sunset..*chef’s kiss”. Okay - then practical things: Full size washer/dryer - the place is within walking distance to: Da Poke Shack. (We went’ twice!” The Taco stand…..(just do yourself a favor and get the Beria tacos…buy them ALL - we went 3 times! OMG! OH! And the farmer’s market!!! They had fresh pineapple, mango…even banana bread! 2 minute walk! AWESOME. Okay - - so then the other way up the road to the Market/farmer’s market…. Yes, it’s a little further…and still worth the walk! We found this market that was ALL THAT! One vendor we went back to 3 times! They had balsamic stuff, rice, tea, treats. (Love this guy!). FIND HIM! Ok - running out of room. This house was AWESOME! Just do it! Perf

Perfect home base for Hawaii vacation!

Friend Trip

As soon as you unlock the door get ready to have your breath taken away! We all said “oh WOW” right when we arrived. The view is amazing. We saw whales and dolphins right from the balcony. The location is great! We like to stay on the south side of Kona and this location is right outside the hustle of Kona but also conveniently close;)

Condo review

The condo was very nice except for a few things. In the kitchen there were a lot of ants on the back kitchen counter. The blinds in the front right bedroom were broken. When we got into the condo, we looked over the information binders that were on the counter for information about our stay. We saw that checkout time was 11:00 PM, which worked out great for our daughter who had a late flight. As we were getting ready to head out the housekeeper arrived to clean the place. We pointed out in the book the checkout time stated. We were told the next group of people were there and waiting for the place to be cleaned. Again, we pointed out the listed checkout time. Once of the managers contacted my daughter and said she had another place she could stay until her flight. They get to the other property, and it was still occupied. Besides the cluster at checkout, we had a good time

Beautiful Beachfront Home

We had an amazing 4 night stay. Check in instructions were easy to follow. There is one parking spot, but it was relatively easy to find parking just outside the complex on the street. The house is very clean and updated. The lanai off the first floor was where we spent most of our time. It is close to a small beach with lava rock tidepools but just around the corner to the right is a slightly larger beach that is somewhat protected by lava rock. We enjoyed watching the sunsets from the lanai and beach. The kitchen is well-stocked. There are lots of water shoes, beach toys, umbrellas and chairs which we made good use of. The bedrooms are comfortable and the master is huge with a large lanai and loungers. Overall a wonderful stay!

Amazing views and beautifully appointed condo

The condo is amazing! It is in a great location, the views from the lanais are magnificent and the home is really well appointed. My husband and I took our 3 adult children, two significant others and a best friend. Everyone had a nice bedroom and we all enjoyed the common spaces. We spent most of our time on the first-floor lanai. The owner’s suite is fantastic. The home had everything we needed. It was very well appointed and organized. Before the trip we received so much high-quality information from the owners that made planning our trip even easier. The location in Kona is perfect. Close to everything and yet once you step into the home, you feel that you have a private beach hideaway. Our only wish was that we could have used both parking spots for the unit. One sat empty the entire time we were there. However, we did not have trouble finding parking on the street. If you are going to Kona, you have to stay in this gorgeous home!

Very nice home

If you want perfect sunsets every night, this is your place. When they said they were 'right on the beach', they weren't kidding. House is comfortable and as described. Close to downtown and we drove to the harbor everyday to do some diving and not a problem. Good sized washer/dryer helped us travel very lightly and that was great.
