The Space:
Experience the unique architectural features of one of the city's flagship historic buildings. The industrial feel of this beautiful space is accentuated by the well-preserved exposed brick walls and ceiling joists.
Whiskey Row Lofts is listed on the National Historic Registry for it's Italian Renaissance Revival architecture, featuring a beautiful limestone façade, Corinthian columns, and well preserved interior. Home of the original Galt House, hosting famous guests such as Charles Dickens and Civil War generals, the building burned down in 1865 and was rebuilt in 1877 as the headquarters of the L&N Railroad, which became one of the most successful regional railways of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Guest Access:
The apartment has a Yale smart lock keypad for self check-in with a code that is unique to your stay and expires after you check out for added security and peace of mind.
You'll use a digital callbox and keycard to access the building during your stay. At check-in, you'll enter the building using the call box before retrieving your key card from a lockbox inside.

Getting Around:
We're located at 140 W Washington St, in the heart of Whiskey Row in downtown Louisville!
For loading/unloading luggage or other items, you can park your car in front of the entrance or in the nearby loading zone with flashers on. Please don't block the garage entrances!
There is paid street parking on 1st St, but the easiest option for longer periods is the Yum! Center parking garage under the overpass at the corner of W Washington and 2nd St -- it's $25 for overnight parking, but sometimes has surge pricing during events. Unfortunately, there isn't any free parking nearby, except at the street meters overnight and on Sundays.

Our standard check-in time is 4:00pm, and our checkout time is 10:00am – we charge 10% of the nightly rate per hour (with a minimum of $20/hour) to adjust our cleaners’ schedules and arrange this service.

The loft has a lot of potential; the location is good, it is very spacious and has a cool vibe. However, we did encounter some issues during our stay.1. Check-in Process: The process is overly complicated, particularly since instructions are only released 15 minutes before arrival and parking time is limited. Basically need to unload luggage and park elsewhere. When we arrived the link to the instructions wasn't working so we couldn't get in the building. It took about an hr to get everything sorted but the owner did apologize and provide us with all the necessary info.2. Parking: The listing states "parking available," which implied there was on-site parking. This was a primary consideration for my booking. Once we booked our stay we learned parking was in the form of a parking structured around the block from the building for an additional fee. 3. Noise: There was significant construction noise from the building next door (shared wall) between 12:00 AM and 2:00 AM both nights. It was very loud and impossible to sleep through. 4. Cleanliness: The living room seemed to have been missed it rushed over by the cleaning crew. One couch was covered in food crumbs, there were ping pong balls on the floor, and one of the paddles was missing. Bathrooms and bedroom were clean.

Check in was super easy with step by step directions.The only “issue” was that the room varied slightly from the pictures (windows weren’t curved, ceiling was flat) I’m assuming the host has multiple units layed out similarly.The place was clean, cute, and massive. It’s located in the heart of downtown. There is lots of street parking options around, and a garage a block away. There’s an alley right near the entrance that leads to a parking lot.I’d stay here again!
