We rented this apartment for us and our friends from the U.K. To meet us here. It was such a great surprise to see that the advertisement of the property was more than you could imagine. It is the most comfortable and perfectly situated property we have ever stayed at in Florence. We have been in Florence for 4 times now and this property by far is the best one.
The manager Rachel is the best when I needed anything all,I had to do is call her and she was there for us. The apartment is so beautiful and lovely the pictures do not do it justice.
We are sad to leave Florence but we will be back.
We stayed here for the month of August and used it as our home base not only to explore Florence extensively but to come back to after taking day or multi-day trips around the northern parts of Italy. This apartment is in a nice location away from the crowds but close enough to walk to everything. Some positive points to be made about the apartment: good location, large accommodations (much larger than it appears in the pictures), good hot water, good water pressure, good WIFI, A/C good (but loud) because the units are stand alone in the rooms not central air, lift / elevator, supermarket right down the street and of course Rachel was very nice, available and informative. Negatives: If you leave the windows open expect to hear a lot of noise from road construction being performed due to a partial collapse of road along the Arno River close to the apartment. Also be warned, electricity is expensive in Florence so monitor your electrical usage. If you like very firm beds you will feel at home.
For you foodies out there we recommend: Mangia Pizza Firenze for the best pizza. Right under the apartment is the Plazzo Tempi restaurant where the locals go to eat. The food is really, really good and the owner goes out of his way to please. Also a must do for a quick 3 Euro sandwich would be I Due Fratellini. For your gelato fix find Vivoli. It was established 80 years ago and the originator of gelato.
All in all it was a very nice stay and we would do it again.....
Stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights
Great apartment and location
View out of window of Ufizzi and Arno river is spectacular
Web page does not do this apartment justice
Will definetly recommend this apartment
What a great apartment in the perfect location! We spent a week here. From the moment we entered, we knew we had scored! The view from the living room and both bedrooms was amazing. We were minutes away from everything. I would stay here again!!
What a glorious apartment? First the view: My husband, adult daughter, and I walked into the spacious entry area and directly in front of us was the Arno and all of Florence. You can see nearly every major site from the Ponte Vecchio to the Uffizi Tower to the Santa Croce Cathedral. And not just from the living area. Both bedrooms have large windows that capture the view. The smaller bedroom is particularly captivating as a desk faces the window, providing a perfect place to read, write, or daydream.
After the view, you notice the size of the apartment. It is extremely spacious. The entry is a room itself. The living room accommodates two sofas, a coffee table, a table with four chairs (enabling you to eat while enjoying the view), book cases, and armoires. Both bedrooms are also large with an enormous amount of storage space. And they are separated by the living area so that privacy is ensured. The beds in both rooms were very comfortable.
The master bedroom has a bathroom with a large tub and two sinks in it. (It also has a hand-held shower that was awkward to use.) Another charming bathroom (wonderful window with a roof-top view over the toilet) is off a laundry area.
I haven’t even mentioned the kitchen. It too is large—lots of counter space and cupboards, room for a table and two chairs. Good gas stove; adequate refrigerator. We had breakfast each morning in the apartment and could have used the kitchen more, but opted to eat out. Which brings us to the next wonderful thing about the apartment: the location.
We loved being in the Oltrarno area. Everyplace we wanted to go was within easy walking distance yet we were away from the hordes of tourists. We ate in restaurants every night of our three weeks in Florence and never left the Oltrarno area. We discovered many wonderful places that were not filled with tourists and had delicious food at reasonable prices. A couple places were so good that we returned several times.
A few more items about the apartment: Having a washing machine was much appreciated—as was the air conditioning. In our final week, the temperatures were blistering and having a conditioner in each room was a godsend.
What have I not mentioned? Rachel! She was waiting at the apartment entrance when our taxi dropped us off. We were given an excellent introduction to the apartment. Throughout our 3-week stay she answered every question we had; she suggested itineraries and taxis. Her immense charm and energy are wonderful!
We spent just under 14 days around Easter in this great apartment overlooking the Arno in Florence. The view itself was worth the price of the apartment. Open the tall windows and look directly across to the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio. There is a fantastic grocery store within a 4 min walk and a couple of great restaurants (try the Trattoria Bordino) are nearly at your door-step. The furnishings in the two bedroom, two bath unit are not elaborate, but very functional. And oh, by the way, the elevator was great! The small kitchen was fine for fixing breakfast before exploring everything Florence has to offer. Really never needed a car. Rachel was great, very helpful, even as we fought our jet lag.
