tolles Appartment in Florenz

Wir waren Anfang September 2021 in Florenz und können die Ferienwohnung von Marusca nur mit fünf Sternen plus bewerten. Die Wohnung entspricht der Beschreibung und ist wunderbar nahe des Zentrums von Florenz gelegen. Besonders gefallen hat uns, dass die Wohnung über drei Zimmer, zwei Bäder, eine große Küche mit Essplatz und eine wunderbare Aussicht auf den Arno und auf die Stadt verfügt. Wir haben die Wohnung in jeder Hinsicht als sehr komfortabel und gut ausgestattet empfunden (gute Möblierung, komfortable Betten, W- LAN; Fernseher, Waschmaschine, Geschirrspüler, super Küchenausstattung, ausreichende Ablagen im Bad). Marusca hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und uns mit wertvollen Tipps und Restaurantempfehlungen versorgt (alle ausprobiert und für sehr gut befunden). Der zur Wohnung gehörende Parkplatz hinter dem Haus und die moderne Einrichtung waren für uns große Pluspunkte der Wohnung. Vor dem Haus befindet sich eine etwas verkehrsreiche Straße. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können diese Ferienwohnung uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Lieben Dank an Marusca! Es war toll!

3 Stories Above the Arno

Be ready to walk (like most of Europe) and there are 54 stairs. The parking is convenient for the car and safe, but don’t think you’re getting in and out without some inconvenience. This is why Europeans are usually fit. The facilities are fabulous and well worth the climb. The agent assisted with bags which was nice. Very spacious well appointed… views were outstanding. Unit is new. Can’t beat the location. There are art books in the bedroom. Agent very helpful and informative. Check in a breeze.

Rooms with a View!!

This apartment is exactly as pictured- beautiful and perfect in every way. It has high ceilings on the top (third) floor in a charming residential neighborhood. There is a view from every room including the 2 bathrooms- the bedrooms and living room look out onto the Arno and the skyline of Florence. Marusca, the owner, is charming and responsive. There is no elevator but we were not at all bothered by this. All of the tourist sites are a pleasant walk and most within 15 minutes. There is everything you need in the neighborhood including some marvelous restaurants. There is a helpful folder Marusca has put together with all her suggestions. The property and our experience there was 10- very special and memorable

Beautiful apartment

This apartment is absolutely beautiful. The location is amazing and the VIEW!!! It is updated and comfortable. There are a few flights of stairs to have to climb with no elevators. If I would have any complaints would be the size of the showers. The showers are very small. Luckily, I am small and could fit but a larger human would have difficulty.other than that, the apartment is very nice and the location is wonderful. I would highly recommend it!

Scenic river views and relaxing stay

We were impressed by the views of the Arno and rooftops along the back. The apartment was spotless, and the fixtures in both bathrooms are modern and of high quality. I loved the new windows that kept the noise out and can crank open to hear the sounds of Florence. The location is within steps of convenience stores, restaurants and breakfast places away from the hustle and bustle a couple of bridges away. The check in was done in person, so from the train station, it should only have been a 15 minute walk to meet up with the host’s assistant. But the streets of Florence being famously busy, narrow and tending to branch off, it took us a lot longer with suitcases! Check in would have been better if we could unlock remotely. We had an issue with the heat due to transition of seasons and the circuit breaker was turned off. Perhaps the information binder could be updated. Due to city construction along the front near the river, the water was turned off one day from 09:00 - 16:00 without any notice to us. This was very inconvenient on one of our 6 days. All in all, an excellent and relaxing stay in Firenze.

Lovely Place in the Real Florence

The property is a lovely, light filled and spacious apartment located on the Arno. The apartment is near Piazza Santo Spirito in the Oltrarno. In my opinion, this is the real Florence with great restaurants and a nice neighborhood vibe away from the frenetic tourist Florence. Yet the property is central enough that it is close (0.5 mi) to all the favorite tourist haunts. The host was very responsive and very nice. Check in was a breeze. Can’t say enough nice things about this property.

Florence Getaway

The apartment was as advertised in the listing. Our host, Marusca met us upon arrival, helped us settle in to her beautifully spacious apartment, shared where to eat and shop away from the busy tourist area. The amenities of the apartment are the nicest we have experienced through a VRBO booking. Rooms are big, master bedroom bed was beyond comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy meals in and living room view of the Arno River spectacular. The train station is an easy walk from the apartment. We took a couple of bus tours and they were easy to get to as well. This was our third trip to Florence in 10 years. We wish we would have found Marusca’s hidden gem sooner. Thank you Marusca for making our stay memorable! Phil and Kate

Fantastic apartment with amazing views right on the river. Great location away from the high traffic tourist areas and close to great local spots for dining and shopping. Great set up for a friends traveling together. The street is a little noisy at night so come prepared with ear plugs, but otherwise, highly recommend and would stay again. The apartment is on the 2nd floor, or 3rd floor to US travelers, so be prepared for a lot of stairs!

Perfect First Time in Florence

My family stayed five nights in Marusca's apartment and it was our favorite five nights during our entire trip to Italy. The apartment is perfectly located with a view of the Arno river. Close enough to all the sites yet far enough away to get a less touristy experience. If you happen to stay here be sure to go to Circolo Rondinella del Torrino for apertivo and even a yummy (and cheap) dinner. You have to get a membership which costs a whopping 2 Euro...hahaha!

Stunning views, beautiful apartment, wonderful location!

We loved our too short stay at the apartment. I was traveling with my 7 year old daughter. The host was kind, friendly and when she found out I was traveling with a 7 year old she had gelato waiting for her upon our arrival! It was so thoughtful! The apartment is spacious, beautifully decorated with high ceilings, huge windows, and incredible views of the Arno river. It’s a short walk from the train station and to all of the popular sites. We hope to visit Florence again in the next couple of years. We hope this apartment will be available when we do. Great all around!

Great place, great location

My wife and our two grown sons (22,19) stayed here on our trip through Italy. This is a wonderful apartment, spacious, comfortable and a great location. Great location for family

Loved this apartment!!! Nice touches - coffee and shampoos available. A Brita water filter in fridge. The apartment is located close to the sites but in the more residential side of the river so it is great for the evenings. Outdoor bar across from the apartment for a drink in the evening. Lots of restaurants and gelato nearby. At times a little loud due to traffic but after falling asleep it is fine. Great place. Highly recommend!!

The BEST location for exploring Florence and surrounding area.

We loved our stay in Florence, largely due to this wonderful apartment. The location could not be better. We were in Florence for an extended stay, 30 nights, and felt very comfortable and at home. The apartment is spacious, modern and charming. Marusca is a wonderful host! Very responsive and very helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this apartment!

Nice apartment in convenient neighborhood

The apartment is large, clean, and very bright. It is well furnished with two large bathrooms. The trek to the second floor (third, if you are used to US floor numbering) is relatively easy. No elevator. There are restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries all thru the neighborhood. Easy walk to the popular sites and to the rail station, if you plan day trips to other cities. Marissa, the host, is helpful and responds quickly to questions. Highly recommend.

Amazing apartment on the river

This was one of the best rentals we have ever stayed at. The view of the river was incredible and the apartment was well furnished. Location wise, it was very easy to walk to the major attractions but was far enough away that it wasn't overrun with people. There is a nice park just down the road that we took our kid to every day.

Fantastic Firenze Stay

Absolutely recommend this beautiful property. It looks just as advertised, easily accommodated our family of 3 (could take up to 6 it seems), and offered plenty of room and amenities to feel at home. The location is fantastic, especially if you choose to rent a car. Our rental location was just across the bridge (walkable) and the drive back was easy, with spacious private parking area. The views of the river are lovely and I enjoyed the sound of the water rushing by. Easy walk to the train station as well for when we departed for the next leg of our trip. Hosts were accommodating and friendly. Grazie mille Marusca and Virginia! I do have a few things I want to share for travelers that I would have found helpful to know about Florence - but do not change my 5 star (or 10 out of 10) rating for this great location! It turns out that Florence has a bit of a mosquito issue. This is not unique to this property; my son was living across the city in a different area and warned us. While keeping the windows open was glorious, be prepared for the possibility of mosquitos coming in. Ambulances are loud and common. This is an issue in any big city. But even after living in NYC for 10 years, it was a lot. Again, my son said in his area of the city it was the same. So consider ear plugs at night if you are a light sleeper as I am. I could go on and on about all the positives too. We just loved being in Florence and felt at home here.
