Hemingway House of Marco Island, short term rental

From the moment you enter the home, it feels like relaxation.
Enjoy the lovely view, have a nice drink on the upstairs balcony or take a swim in the pool.
The sunrise over the water is particularly captivating. That`s when you have a good chance to see the dolphins come by and greet you.

The house is so comfortable, with bedrooms with a king-size bed, closets, TVs, attached bathrooms, oversized balcony upstairs with a swing couch overseeing Bimini Bay.
The nightly rate is based on ten people in the party, the house sleeps up to 12 people in beds and 2 additional people on sleeper couches, however, any additional people ( children as well ) beyond 10 people there will be a charge of 50 dollars plus tax per additional gueste per night. Thank you for your understanding.
Upstairs there is hardwood flooring and the downstairs has tile flooring.

Attractive ceiling fans as well as comfortable lighting.

Very comfortable relaxing atmosphere, Key West style home with wraparound porches and exquisite interior.

The house is in a quiet, residential neighborhood. It is not suitable for having loud parties on the premise, therefore people who want to enjoy a wonderful quiet vacation are welcome.
Papergoods such as toilet paper, kitchen rolls will be provided for the initial days, but it is understood, as the week goes on the guests will purchase their own goods.

This home is NOT suitable for loud parties and festivities. The city of Marco Island has put new noise ordinance in place which will have them send the police out to write tickets.
Please no loud music around the pool and preferably have everyone enjoy the inside after 8 pm.

No garden furniture go into the pool since it hurts the surface of the pool which can be very costly to repair and the tenants will be responsible for this expense.

We offer one space for your car in the garage and two spaces in front of the garages. If you have a fourth vehicle it needs to go to another location.

To our boater guests we have to ask you to bring the trailer to a different location since there is no room in front of the garage to accommodate a trailer and your cars. Marco Marinas can help to store your trailer.

10 out of 10A group of friends and I recently stayed at Hemingway House. The place is gorgeous and sits right on a canal. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom, which is fully stocked. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and serve meals. The furniture is very comfortable and there are games and televisions. Outdoors, there is a large pool and plenty of seating. There's also floats to lounge in the pool. There are kayaks and bicycles. The host, Marlene, responded immediately when we had any questions. She was lovely to talk to and so helpful.Hemingway House is an exquisite, relaxing place on Marco Island that provides everything you need to have the exact vacation you want. We loved it!

Perfect stay in everyway

The neighborhood was very, very nice. The home was located very close to the grocery store so that was convenient. Inside the home was just like it shows online everything was so nice. It was clean convenient in every way. Outside was nice chairs and tables and lounge chairs. The pool was excellent. We just had a wonderful time and I would suggest anybody looking to wanting to go to Marco Island should stay at the Hemingway House. Marlene went over and above for us and she is a wonderful manager of the property. There were five couples we each had our own bedroom with a king bed and our own bathroom. So it just was a wonderful vacation. We were there for a week.

Wonderful Spring Break

Hemingway House was perfect for our extended family with our adult children and young grandchildren. There was plenty of space and privacy for everyone with their own bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool and hot tub were a big hit and we were in it everyday! There were floaties and beach toys available for us to use. Marlene was super responsive and helpful. There were two pack and plays and high chairs set up for us when we arrived which was very helpful! The kitchen was well stocked and we also used the outdoor grill for dinners. The location was great and a short drive to the beach, grocery stores and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back next year!

Wonderful Getaway for Retired Siblings

- Our group of 8 siblings/spouses in our 70's stayed in the Hemingway House for a week in March. We were thrilled with the layout, decor, amenities and location of the house. The 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms were perfect for our group. (I should mention that one upstairs bedroom had a funky setup with the sink and shower actually in the bedroom- it was fine for a single member of our group). The pool was delightful as was the hot tub. The kitchen was well-supplied,and we did prepare several of our meals there. A few of us enjoyed using the bikes to ride around the island. My husband loved being able to fish from the dock on the property. The manager was very responsive to questions. As a VRBO Super Host myself, I noticed the cleanliness, thoughtfulness and hospitality throughout.

Loved The Hemingway House!

My husband and I have been renting a condo in MARCO ISLAND for 10 years. This year our children and grandchildren visited but our condo was not large enough so we rented The Hemingway House. Everything was FABULOUS!! Bedrooms are spacious and private and living areas both inside and by the pool are well appointed. The pool and hot tub were well maintained, clean and very warm. We will be back next year! We had no issues and the manager Marlene Church stopped by to meet us and was very helpful! It was a wonderful experience!

Good Location - Property Needs Repairs

Sliding glass doors would not lock. Concern that 4 year old child (we had 4 under 4) could get up during the night and open the sliding glass door, (because she does this at her home), and could fall into the pool. Dishwasher upper jet had a piece missing which meant only the bottom half would get clean. Not enough towels or hooks to hang damp clothing and towels. Outdoor lighting not working as well as other issues. Our family made the best of it, but will not rent this property again. Marlene, the host, was wonderful, but owner was non responsive.
