Making Waves is a beautiful, luxurious, modern, and well-maintained waterfront home in a neighborhood located on the shore of Lake Norman, NC. You will enjoy your scenic drive through the golf course as you start your vacation. Central to many major golf courses with 3 nearby and NASCAR motor speedway.

Making Waves is over 4900 square feet and offers everything you'd expect in a lakeside vacation rental. Plenty of sleeping space! This property can accommodate a very large family. It is located on 1 acre of landscaped gardens. Everyone will enjoy the pool and floating dock, where you can swim or fish for hours.

The main level features an open-concept living room, dining room, and kitchen. All rooms are easily accessible from one another. The kitchen is fully stocked for the chef of your party to prep meals for the whole group; in the morning, coffee is readily available from the drip coffee maker or the Keurig. The kitchen offers an eat-in area with a table for four and counter seats for three. The living room has a cozy sectional to enjoy views of the deck or watch a show on the TV, complete with lake views! The modern dining room features a large glass table seating 8 with a new chandelier. There is a quiet study off the kitchen with a sofa and TV for the early risers to watch while not disturbing the rest of the group. This room offers a queen sleeper sofa as well. The primary bedroom is on the main level with a king bed, attached bath with soaking tub, separate walk-in shower, and dual vanities.

The upper level, with 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths, is perfect for many sleeping options. Upon entering the top of the stairs, to the left is a queen bedroom with a new attached bathroom. As you make your way down the hall, there is a queen bedroom with French doors, a bunk room featuring 2 queens and a pull-out queen sleeper sofa to sleep 6, and another queen guest room.

Adults can enjoy the lake-level lounge. Just relax, sip a beer at the bar while gazing at the pool while the children, within eye view, watch their favorite movie on the 108" home theater screen. Don't forget the games in the bar area: a pool table with ping pong topper and foosball for your whole group to enjoy. Or step out from the lounge, relax by the pool, and take a dip. The pool is a saltwater pool, 3 to 8 feet deep, and open year round. The pool is not heated and maintains a temperature about 7 degrees below the outside temp.

Outside at Making Waves is where the majority of your time will be spent. Whether splashing in the pool, making s'more by the newly built fire pit, or enjoying your lakeside toys, there is plenty of fun to be had by all. For backyard games, Making Waves provides corn hole and adult-size Connect 4! The house features two levels of outside entertainment. The upper level will have a new Polywood table to seat 6, along with a grill, the perfect place to watch the kiddos swim or entertain the resident chef while grilling dinner. The lower level features another new Polywood table for six, amongst other seating, and an outdoor shower to rinse off after a long day on the lake.

- Please be aware that we are constantly trying to upgrade, improve and may redecorate or rearrange furniture, etc. We do this in response to prior guests recommendations so that future guests have an excellent vacation experience.
- House has 2 kayaks and 1 SUP for guest use.
- The living room fireplace is not available for guest use.
- This home allows up to 2 pets for a fee; undisclosed pets brought without AvantStay’s approval may result in a $500 fine per pet.
- Please note that a service crew for the fish tank visits the home on occasion.
- No events, group gatherings, or parties are allowed at any AvantStay property under any circumstances.
- Due to natural fluctuations, we’re unable to provide specific water depth information at any given time. The majority of docks in this area are generally suitable for most average-sized pontoons and ski boats. However, since boat drafts can vary, guests are encouraged to refer to Lake Norman nautical charts, GPS systems, and depth maps—and rely on their own knowledge of their vessel’s specifications—to ensure safe navigation.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.
