Blue Bayou is a luxurious 7-bedroom lakefront estate on the banks of Lake Norman, designed for big families and group getaways. Sleeps 19 across three levels with a private pool, hot tub, in-home movie theater, game room, outdoor kitchen, and a private deep-water dock for boats, jet skis, and watersports. Set on sprawling grounds at the end of a long private drive — quiet, private, and built for togetherness.

Dock and water access

Private deep-water dock at the water's edge, large enough for multiple watercraft. We've had extensive dredging done at the dock to maintain deep water access for our guests. Guests are welcome to bring boats and jet skis — Lake Norman has no horsepower restrictions, so it's a perfect lake for water skis, wakeboards, and extreme watersports.



Guest Access:

Guests have exclusive access to the entire Blue Bayou property, including the main house, all bedrooms and bathrooms, the movie theater, game room, private swimming pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen, bonfire pit, and private deep-water dock. Check-in is handled by a secure E-lock code sent before your arrival — no key handoff, no waiting around.



We kindly ask guests to respect our good neighbor policy and observe quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. for nearby residents.

Blue Bayou sits in a quiet, residential lakefront area on Lake Norman — peaceful and private, but close to everything that makes this stretch of North Carolina special. Just 20 miles north of Charlotte, the Lake Norman area is loaded with outdoor recreation, charming towns, and great food.

• Lake Norman State Park — hiking and biking trails (including the Itusi Trail), fishing, swimming, and seasonal boat rentals

• Jetton Park and Ramsey Creek Park — waterfront parks with walking trails, picnic areas, and playgrounds (swimming at Ramsey Creek)

• Birkdale Village — open-air shopping, dining (North Italia, Red Rocks Cafe), and entertainment

• Downtown Davidson — charming college town with historic main street, boutiques, galleries, and restaurants

A personal vehicle is recommended for getting around the Lake Norman area, as attractions are spread out. The property has ample parking. Other options:



• Boating — bring your own from the private dock, or use public boat ramps and marinas around the lake

• Rideshare — Uber and other services available throughout the area

• CATS Micro — affordable on-demand shared-ride service for localized travel in Huntersville, Davidson, and Cornelius (book via CATS-Pass app or phone)
