Interior of home was very nice with modern amenities. Bedrooms were as advertised and bathrooms were clean and modern. Kitchen was very nice with an open concept to living room. There is very little indoor dining at the kitchen island.

Overall our family really enjoyed our stay at the Duffy boat home. The home was nice. We loved the kitchen, the large glass window that opened fully to the back patio, the patio itself, the master bathroom, the kayaks, and use of the Duffy boat. It had easy access to the beach and highway. We used the Duffy boat a couple of times and enjoyed it. There are some things to be aware of though. Sunset beach had lots of garbage (Huntington beach was a lot nicer and not too far away). There were a few things not fully clean when we arrived. The kayak seats were busted. The patio garbage can and large garbage cans outside were completely full when we arrived.Overall we would recommend this property. It was a great fit and time for our family.

Quiet beach house

Super clean, and quiet. I loved that we could walk to some great places including the beach. Definitely recommend taking the duffy out through the marina. Very peaceful. 10/10

Relaxing Stay

Great property close too beach access. Home was well maintained. Very clean with plenty of linens. Nice kitchen and bathrooms. Grill can use some maintenance, need to light with matches. Two person kayaks can use some maintaining as well. Overall very pleased with experience.

Sunset Beach Awesome Location *Location* Location!

With so much to do: from paddle boarding, to kayaking, taking the Duffy boat out for a Sunset cruise (you can dock it for dinner at Captain Jack’s) walking across the street to the beach, sitting in the jacuzzi (looking out to the canal) or just sitting out on one of the decks and enjoying the view, sipping wine or reading your favorite book. Master bathroom is wonderful & open kitchen/family room looking out to canal is so refreshing while cooking a delicious meal! Ocean views from other two bedrooms.

Nice property but dirty and no host communication

The pros: Duffy boat and being across the street from the ocean. The cons: House is dirty with marks on the walls. Not a luxury vacation rental, more like a home that’s used as a vacation home and left for vrbo when not in use. Our biggest issue was the property manager would not respond to messages for 48hrs which is unacceptable for a short term rental. Other than that, it’s an okay rental overall.

House needs a good cleaning and TLC- the "five star gem" name is almost insulting. Walls have holes, or scuffs and are filthy, fruit flies are coming up through the garbage disposal, furniture is water warped, throw pillows have obvious holes, outside chairs are broken, candy wrappers outside when we arrived, outside glass had what looked like throw up on it. I was pretty embarrassed upon check in that i was bringing my friends into a house that was so dirty. See pictures attached. Parking in the listing states 2-3 spots. There is really only one- if you can fit your car horizontal to the garage. The other one would be on the street, which blocks in the car horizontal to the garage. Neighbors are extremely close, but they were no bother. Across the harbour is an eye-sore of a boat- dirty, run down, which makes the view not great. Overall, i would not stay here again.

Communication prior to arrival was good. Upon arriving, we had to reach out to the manager/owner as the door lock was not operational. We were told it was likely a dead battery. The manager told us he possibly could come later to fix it but there were batteries on-site if we wanted to change them. We also discovered batteries were needed for a light remote in a guest bedroom.There ended up being no batteries so we purchased batteries for both and installed. The floors were sticky and had dirt/ sand all over. Had to sweep with a frayed broom and broken dust pan. Had to wipe floors with paper towels to get rid of the stickiness.The couch smelled like urine.The baseboards were caked with dirt and the house could use a deep cleaning.There were towels in the washing machine that had been there for awhile and smelled musty. So we washed those as well.The house did not offer any cleaning supplies. The bath towels were all bleach stained and old.The house looks like it was once in great shape but there has been little done to keep the place in top shape.We reached out to the manager/owner and have yet to hear back.

Bay Home Weekend Getaway

My family and I had a wonderful stay. Check-in was easy. The property was just as pictured. The Duffy and kayaks are amazing perks to the home. The only down side I had with this home was parking. You can only park two cars parallel to each other on the drive way. However I wasn’t aware that I had to leave space between the two cars for the side walk. It’s a little hard to distinguish that there was a sidewalk in the drive way. So I got a parking citation for that which was a bit of a bummer. But other than that my family had an awesome time . There are plenty of local restaurants too that are delicious and walking distance. The beach is a couple minutes walk.
