Hi Karen, This is the owner of the unit you rented. Thank you for taking the time to write a review, it is so helpful to get feedback. We are happy you enjoyed your stay. We love our beach home and enjoy sharing it with others, especially when they get to escape winter! I apologize about the DVD player not being accessible, this was just a timing issue. We literally just renovated the TV wall (the Flat screen got mounted on swivel bracket and all wires were organized into a custom built mantle which provided more floor space). You arrived just days after the contractors left, and the DVD player was locked in the owner’s closet during the renovation. It was just poor timing that the DVD was not available! Hopefully you were able to access Netflix and other streaming services available in our unit. With regard to housekeeping stock, Tenants should be provided with two rolls of toilet paper per rest room and 4 sets of towels per bathroom (e.g. 8 bath towels total), there is hand soap and 2 sets of dish towels. Tenants are directed to ask the manager to assist with supplies that seem under-stocked. It is never our intent to be short on supplies. Janis enjoyed meeting you, we feel fortunate to have a manager that welcomes our guests like family. Again, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay, we hope you will return next year! Dear April 10-17 guest, If any stock items were not in place, we are sorry for the inconvenience. Two rolls of TP for each bath should be available on arrival; stock of paper goods and trash bags are not included, for guest convenience we provide one paper towel roll and a starting trash bag. With regard to the outlet in the Master Bath, it worked on our arrival just after your stay, possibly the GFI reset needed to be pressed. In any of these above cases, letting our on site manager know, would have resolved any issues. As owners we would like to address that we clearly post our unit as a NON-SMOKING property, this includes being marked as non-smoking on VRBO, clearly noted in the agreement you signed at booking, and a professionally engraved plastic sign posted in our unit that specifically states that non-smoking includes our patio. On arrival to our unit, the main living area smelled of smoke (even after the professional cleaning) and neighbors complained of smoke drifting to their unit because of our tenants smoking on the patio during your week. We strictly enforce our non-smoking policy, we are disappointed that a guest would disrespect our request. If we were made aware of your smoking during your stay, you would have been asked to leave the property. You are no longer welcome to future stays at our property. The manager will be made aware of this restriction. This is the first time we have ever had to address negative behaviors, it is very upsetting, we thoroughly enjoy sharing our little piece of ocean.
