NACHBARSCHAFT UND LAGE

Die Wohnung befindet sich in einem begehrten, historischen Viertel. Die Kathedrale Sagrada Familia, das Wahrzeichen Barcelonas, liegt nur wenige Straßen entfernt. Das Viertel Eixample Dreta ist berühmt für seine Gebäude mit seinen prächtigen, balkonierten Fassaden und seinen vielen Geschäften, Bars und Restaurants.

Nach einem kurzen Spaziergang durch diese wunderschönen Straßen erreichen Sie das Stadtzentrum, den modischen Passeig de Gracia, den Boulevard Ramblas, die Plaza Catalunya und alle beliebten Sehenswürdigkeiten Barcelonas. Fine location; great food choices within several hundred feet; can walk to most sites easily. Cabs were cheap when feet are hurting :) Highly recommend!

Great place to stay away from the tourist areas. It was quiet and safe. Close to markets and other destinations. José Antonio was was really helpful at providing recommendations and general information.

Fantastic Location and Host

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property in Barcelona. Just a few blocks from Sagrada Familia, this property is in a safe neighborhood with easy access to markets, bakeries, restaurants, and attractions. We walked everywhere or utilized the Hop-on Hop-off bus. Our host met us when we arrived and gave us all the information we needed for our first stay in Barcelona.

Great location

Cozy apartment in a quiet neighborhood was perfect for us. Jose was very helpful in explaining to us how to get around the city, where to eat and what to see. We had a wonderful time! I would highly recommend this apartment.

Great experience in Barcelona

Jose Antonio was an excellent host and greeted us promptly and attentive. The apartment was very nice and clean. It was in a good location, within walking distance of major attractions in the city. Definitely a good experience overall!

Great location and host

Location was convenient for exploring Barcelona tourist areas and also for experiencing local city life in Barcelona. Great cafes and restaurants all around. Jose was easy to work with before our trip and very accommodating at arrival. Apartment was clean. There is an active playground in the rear plaza of the apartment that can be a little noisy but not a big deal for us. We would stay here again.

Great location

Great location and adequate space (was tight for our family of 4). Jose was very helpful. The AC was super helpful in the summer. We walked everywhere except for park Guell. My only complaint was that the two twin beds in the second room were flimsy. My 17 yo kept on tipping his bed and falling off from it.

Estupendo

Great family location

We had a great time at Jose’s apartment. He is a great host. Communication early and often. He helped us with questions before booking as well as when we arrived. Location is awesome and close to so many sites. Local grocery store great since we have a food allergy amongst our family. He also helped us get a taxi to our cruise port. Will stay here again when in Barcelona. We felt like we were at home.

Quiet location with great service

My husband and I stayed 6 nights here. There is no vehicular noise, yet it is centrally located...we walked everywhere! Jose was kind enough to meet us early the first morning and to arrange cabs to the airport for us. The apartment is comfortable and everything in it worked well. The neighbors were very friendly and we recommend staying in a residential setting versus a hotel to get a better feel of life in Barcelona.

Convenient Apartment for Family of Four

Apartment is exactly as described. Clean, convenient, quiet building, lots of sunshine. Owner Jose is very helpful with directions & suggestions for nearby restaurants & groceries. We walked to many sights including Family Sagrada and Las Ramblas. Took Metro to other sights. Please note that 2nd bedroom is quite small and so we opted for one of our kids to sleep on the sofa in living room.

Barcelona Gem

Jose is a Super Host. He answered inquiries quickly, met me upon arrival (as I had requested.) Gave out helpful information on Barcelona and about the neighbourhood. The property is as advertised on VRBO and met all of my requirements and expectations. Note that while in a residential neighbourhood, you can access the main sights but this require a willingness to walk about 20 min. to reach various tourist areas. I would be happy to stay here again.

The apartment was exactly as Jose had describ d!

The city, restaurants, grocery shops, and transportation was at our fingertips. The apartment is located in a clean, quiet, pleasant village with a concierge. The apartment was well supplied with house ho household and personal needs so that we didn’t have to do a quick run to the store when we arrived. Jose and his cousin Chelo were very hospitable and checked on us periodically throughout the week. Five stars and an A+!

Wonderfully Convenient

Our two week stay in this apartment was very comfortable. The living and dining area and kitchen are bright and sunny and face out onto a playground and sports area with a nearby school and senior citizen's area - in other words, it is lively during the day but quiet at night. The bedrooms are away from traffic noise, another advantage. Nearby are a bakery, butcher and grocery as well as cafes and small restaurants. The location is an easy walk to everything, including the Metro and bus stops. Jose, the landlord, is very helpful, dependable and he has furnished the place with everything needed for an extended stay - washer, drying rack, linens, coffee maker, small microwave, WiFi connection. It is clean without being too fancy or fussy. We highly recommend this property to anyone and especially to families with children and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Barcelona 10/16

The unit we stayed in was just perfect for our needs. I was traveling to Barcelona to meet a cruise ship for a one week cruise on the Mediterranean. Our group was a total of 9 and two of us came to Barcelona a few days early to explore. Jose is as gracious as all previous reviewers have stated. He was there to meet us at the apartment at our day of check in, despite the fact that our plane was 5.5 hours LATE! He explained everything we needed to know about the apartment and then sat down with us to go over sites that he thought we would want to see over the day and a half that we had to spend there. The location of this apartment is good for exploring the different areas of Barcelona. It is very easy to navigate the metro or hail a cab if you are so inclined. There was plenty to do within walking distance and Jose mapped out everything for us before leaving. At the end of our stay, he promptly appeared and checked us out and even called us a cab to get to our cruise ship on time. I would definitely stay here again and hope to get to Barcelona again in the future.

Perfecto!

We loved our time at Jose's flat while we stayed in Barcelona. For starters, he promptly met us outside the unit right on time and then gave us a very good introduction to the city. He ended up suggesting a few places to check out (plus how the train/bus system works) and the advice was spot-on. I don't want to give it away, but his suggestion for day trips should be given extra attention. We had a wonderful day outside of the city. Anyway, the unit was exactly as advertised (plus very clean) and having a nice washer was a huge bonus. One tip for everyone -- don't do laundry too late, and we found the 15 minute cycle plus an extra cycle that just rotates the clothes is a good time saver. We used the kitchen most mornings and appreciated having the nice dining spot for breakfast. The location of the unit is ideal since you can either walk to many things or easily grab the train or bus from a nearby stop. Be sure to get your tickets online in advance to avoid lines!! Finally, for those flying to Barcelona, it cost around 40 Euros to take the taxi from the airport (and another 40 to get back to the airport). This was money well spent -- the cabs are quite nice and Jose even set up one for us when we were leaving. Thanks again Jose!

Jose was a great host. He met us at check in with a map of the city and recommendations. The apartment was in a great location. It had a dishwasher and washing machine and Jose provided the detergent which was a nice gesture. My family of 3 had a wonderful experience!

Excellent location and welcoming host!

We absolutely loved our family trip to Barcelona and this apartment was the perfect location! Highly walkable to all major attractions and a comfortable place to rest from all that walking, located in a real family neighborhood which is not as touristy as some other areas. Anyone who appreciates exploring European cities on foot will make their own food and attraction ‘finds’ which are plentiful in the area, and your host Jose has great recommendations. As a family with two vegetarian kids and meat-loving parents, we all loved El Viti for tapas (traditional and contemporary options) and Parking Pita. Also suggest Tierra Tragame for gourmet products to take home (very friendly man helped me make reasonably priced choices) and Conchitos Cafe for delicious Tortilla omelettes and Catalan cakes. Enjoy!

Great location and amenities, super host

We had a lovely time in this very clean and comfortable apartment. What stood out were the attentiveness of the host (Jose was so nice-- he waited for us when our train was delayed and helped us get oriented to the neighborhood, giving us maps and recommendations for restaurants and transportation options) and unexpected little things to make our stay more comfortable, like umbrellas in the closet, plenty of toiletries in the bathroom cabinet, a roll of paper towels in the kitchen, etc. There was even a little courtyard out back where my son could kick a soccer ball. Nice residential area close to everything--highly recommend!

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

I bought this apartment in 2011, and i have another apartment that it was my own home during 8 years. Because family was increasing i need to change to another apartment bigger, but in the same area that was the area that i like to live. I filled a bit nostalgic to leave the appartment as a my own home.
Since them i have been renting the apartment for tourist and professional reasons. As the experience has been so good for clients and for me. Later i decided to by two additonal appartments in the same building and for the same reasons.
