Happy Trails Home is a newly remodeled 4 bedroom home located RIGHT ON the trails! This spacious home sleeps a total of 12 people. Perfect for large groups wanting to trail ride. Garage included! 2 single short doors, cars can fit to park inside. You can also drive your snowmobiles or ATVs into the garage to work on them if needed. This home has everything you need! Fully equipped kitchen, wifi, washer and dryer, linens and A/C. Spacious backyard with a firepit and outdoor games available. Charcoal grill on site.


***Door code will be released the night prior to check-in for security purposes.

*** There is a doorbell camera mounted at the entryway outside, and a camera mounted on the garage facing the parking area.

***If you are booking through Airbnb or VRBO you will receive a separate contract from Pictured Rocks Vacation Rentals. In order to receive check-in information, you will be required to sign this.

Great location for a week at Pictured Rocks. House was very spacious for 4 adults and 3 kids. The listing is accurate and this was a good central spot for our daily excursions. The host was quite responsive to our questions. WiFi was excellent and the kitchen worked well.

The lake and setting is beautiful, and the recently renovated house was exactly as advertised. Very fresh and clean, and a great place to relax and enjoy being on the water. No complaints, and would highly recommend!

Family visit to Pictured Rocks

House had all the amenities we needed. It was clean and comfortable. We had two families, so the separate “wings” of bedrooms/bathrooms were nice. Town is very small but close to Munising. It’s a great home base for Pictured Rock hikes. Would stay again!

Very pleased with everything about this home. All amenities labeled well, large kitchen has everything needed, beds & furniture are very nice, garage access is great, plenty of room for parking. Great location & close to trails, we look forward to coming back !

UP Fall Getaway

The house was very clean and very well stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed. The king bed was really comfortable. The smart tv was a plus so we could watch our regular programs. It was easy to find in a very quiet neighborhood. The house is big enough to handle large groups and still give everyone their own privacy/space. I can't think of one single negative! We would definitely stay there again in the future.

Lots of Room - Fabulous Location

This was the perfect place for our two families to stay for our annual vacation. Huge kitchen stocked with all the necessities and many extras - made it easy to cook for six adults. Pleasantly surpised by the extendable dining room table, not usually something we've found but super handy for playing games at the end of the night! Plenty of bedrooms and comfortable beds for everyone to sleep well, without having to unexpectedly share with others. Great info about the area provided by the host. Added a few stops to our general itinerary and we were not dissapointed! Location was perfect for touring around the central part of the UP but just far enough away from anything to have wonderful views of the night sky! Would definitely stay here again if we plan another trip to the upper peninsula!!!

Location was also great - about 10 miles from Munising so as long as you have that extra 20-30 mins to drive you’d be fine. Seemed they had an intermittent problem with the split ACs in the house and the rental company pro-actively reached out for that. Weather for us was good - early August- and it didn’t bother us much. They had provided enough fans and portable heater in case we needed it. Overall I’d recommend the place.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked this place for one night near Pictured Rocks. Originally we were traveling with another family who had to cancel, but we kept the booking even though the house was bigger than we needed. Unfortunately, our experience was incredibly disappointing.When we arrived later in the evening, the house was full of mosquitoes—so many that we spent most of our time swatting and killing them instead of relaxing or eating dinner. It was overwhelming and nonstop. On top of that, the air conditioning wasn’t working properly. I followed the instructions exactly and still received an E7 error. I tried everything listed, but the next step involved shutting the breaker off for 30 minutes—which wasn’t an option at 10:30 PM with two exhausted young kids.I didn’t call the hosts at that point because it was so late and I couldn’t keep my kids up any longer waiting for someone to help or for a possible move. We ended up just going to a hotel that night.I reached out the next day asking for a partial refund—especially for the cleaning fee since we never even used the beds, showers, or made a mess. I was told no, because I didn’t call them that night. While I understand policies, I also wish there was some acknowledgment of the situation—no apology for the mosquitoes, the Ac not working, or the fact we couldn’t stay. As someone who also owns a vacation rental, I know how important empathy and communication are. Guests often try to solve problems themselves before reaching out—especially late at night with tired kids. Sadly, this experience left us frustrated, uncomfortable, and out quite a bit of money for a home we couldn’t even stay in.

Hi Danielle, As we mentioned before we were more than willing to help and make your stay enjoyable however you did not reach out to us once. If you read the A/C instructions you would have noticed that every unit has to be on the same setting for it to work properly and 2 of them were set on heat. If you would have called we could have walked you through that. As for the mosquitoes 2 separate cleaners, one before you and one after, both stated the mosquitoes were not bad at all. We still sent our head cleaner out the next day to bomb the house to be safe and when I arrived I found a total of 5 dead mosquitoes, which is nothing this time of year. Mosquitoes will get in if doors are left open. I was also in touch with the other family that canceled, she booked with us at Pointview the night prior to your stay and stated she was meeting up with you the next day. She was very nice.
