Snowmobile trip

Over all great placeSnow plowing was done at 5am right up next to the house with a very loud bobcat/skid steer Was also woke up by text message at 5am to have vehicles moved that where plenty far away from barn(I took pictures) no where did it say no to park by barn witch we stayed plenty far back not what I expected on vacation Sewage pump in basement stop working and we where accused of flushing something that we didn’t They had a plumber come out 2 days into the stay to make the repairs Also nothing plugged in pump just stopped working Overall was still a very good trip and a nice place

We really enjoyed our stay here. We came all the way from St. Louis to check out the area and what it had to offer. It did not disappoint. We loved the house and it had everything we needed and more! The owners were extremely responsive and helped whenever needed. We will be back!

Nice place but be prepared…

The place was very nice. However. The owners were not fun to communicate with. My daughter was getting married and I asked if other people could visit that were also staying in the area. My request was for a few hours at a time. They absolutely would not let one person come to the rental unless they Paige 149 more per person that day. Seems ridiculous when you’re talking about a few hours. The place I stayed at let all of my family visit when they wanted. As long as nobody slept there. The owner messaged me on the VRBO ap the day after we got there to check on things. Then when I didn’t answer that (was extremely busy with wedding itinerary’s). Then she texted me asking me on Monday asking how it was going? She was asking about my daughter’s wedding and what time it was and such. I’ve stayed at probably 2 dozen or more VRBO,s and not one of them messaged me during my stay. To me… I’ve rented your home and during that time our privacy should be honored. Then she texted the day of ck out and told me that the cleaning team would be there at 10am. This was the day after my daughter’s wedding. Obviously people staying there was going to celebrate! Well needless to say everything was cleaned out and everyone packed up and ready to leave by 10 am.However… the cleaning people literally showed up at 9:50 am! To me that was intimidating that they had cleaning people there before we even checked out?The owner made this stay very uncomfortable. For this reason I don’t recommend!

We got together with several families and was very impressed with this house. The kitchen was very well stocked. Everyone said the mattresses were comfortable. The fire pit was great to use at night. Overall a very quiet and relaxing stay and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Home was located about 10miles from Munising where all the pictured rock activities are located. We enjoyed being able to come home and use the grill for dinner after a busy day. Very clean and well equipped

My family enjoyed our stay here. The inside of the home offers alot of space for our family of 9 to spread out. The kitchen was fully equipped and made cooking meals easy and fun. It snowed on us a couple of time, so it was nice to be able to park our vechicles in the garage.

Perfect family getaway

This home was all we could have hoped for! This was one of the cleanest and well equiped homes we have ever stayed in. It very easily fit our 11 family members with a great communal area in the kitchen/living room and the amazing backyard/fire pit. It was the perfect launch point to all the Pictured Rocks destinations and an easy drive into Munising. The hosts are amazing, providing asistance when needed and great communication throughout our stay. We definitely would love to return and continue exploring the area. The you adults in our group's only requst was some yard games to truly utilize the amazing space. Definitely not a deal breaker though.

Great Updated home near Picture Rocks

Stayed for a long weekend with my son’s and his future in laws and had a great time. Home is updated and has all you need. Basement with bar was amazing and a great gathering place for some beverages and POV fights. Set in a wooded area and able to build a fire and great star gazing at night. Perfect for our group of 10.

The place was just as described, it was remote, close to trails, plenty of room for the 17 of us. It was also close to food in three different directions to give us choices. We had never put our whole group under one roof like this, but the house worked out great! The Blackstone grill was perfect for all of us, would definitely look at it again in the future. Thanks.

Pictured Rocks Trip

We greatly enjoyed our trip to the pictured rocks area. The house was very spacious and was one of the most well appointed houses I have ever stayed in. They had everything we needed. The house was decorated beautifully with Barnwood and copper accents . The beds and linens were very comfortable. The couches were soft and cozy. The amount of bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for everyone in my family to have their own space and to spread out. My kids loved the dart board. The connecting garage was a lifesaver to protect us from the mosquitoes. It was a very easy drive to the Pictured Rocks areas and to several waterfalls and hiking trails. I would definitely stay here again and stay for longer next time. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Amazing place! Will stay again!

WOW!! First of all the house was beautiful! It was extremely clean, the decorations were gorgeous and I cannot believe how well stocked the house was (from spices to dishes and bedding). Even the appliances were top of the line! I have stayed at many VRBO’s and this is by far the nicest and most well stocked I have stayed at. We had a group of 11 friends and we could have easily fit more. There was ample space for truck and trailer parking which is a huge plus. This was a fall color tour trip with our sxs’s and it was a bonus to be able to leave right from the house with not trailering to a trail head. Our group is already planning our next stay at this rental property hopefully this winter for a snowmobiling trip. And for those snowmobiling the entry way is HUGE perfect for all the gear! Our entire group agrees we would recommend to all our family and friends!

Spacious place to stay near Pictured Rocks

This home offers a lot of privacy and a ton of space to park many cars and trailers. We stayed during the summer, but I can imagine it would be a great place to rent in the winter for snowmobilers. The entryway is large and open with plenty of hooks to store your stuff. The basement and main level has plenty of room to gather. We had 9 people and we all had plenty of space to sleep. Bathrooms were well stocked and clean. The kitchen had lots of counter space and new appliances. There are numerous tvs and all worked well. There are two air conditioners that cooled the house well but we had some hot days so we did need to keep the bedroom doors open at night to stay cool. The deck off the back has a large heater that would be nice on a cool night. There is a Blackstone griddle to cook on. There is a bonfire area with plenty of chairs. Just a few miles down the road is The Bear Trap Inn which had good food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). It is a short drive to Munising which offered plenty of restaurants and shops. Also, about 20 minutes away is the town of Christmas. Foggy's Steakhouse had great steaks and fish (we went 3 times). There is also a Kewadin casino there. We rented a pontoon boat one day and saw the Pictures Rocks shoreline which included amazing beaches and waterfalls. But oh boy the flies were crazy on the water - bring repellent if you have some that works. If you are a golfer, drive to Marquette and play Greywalls (AMAZING!). Overall great place to stay!

Every family comfort in remote, beautiful location!

We just got back from our stay at the house and it was great! We had two families, total of 9 people, including kids 6y.o. - 15 y.o. The house is close to everything (Miners Castle ~10 min, Chapel Falls ~ 20 min, downtown Munising ~ 25 min, Au Train ~ 35 min, Marquette ~ 50 min). Beautiful, private setting! SPOTLESS! Brand new! Top notch appliances and finishes! HOT water, good pressure, no residue! PROS: - general location - end of the street with huge private, driveway, front and back yards - XL refrigerator with ice/water dispenser, we brought our groceries and were able to fit enough for two families! - 2 Large drink/wine coolers - tons of cabinet space - new large grill - fully stacked with silverware, dishes, grilling utensils, spices, tupperware, foil, cling etc.... - open concept - very friendly and accommodating management CONS/SUGGESTIONS: - WiFi is extremely spotty and weak, especially with 9 people in the house. I realize that it's not what UP is known for, however, beware. Download kids movies and games ahead of time. As well as MAPS of the entire UP area - No recycling services. If we knew, we would have taken our recycling back home with us - would like to see some kinda shelf/bench in the master bathroom for extra stuff - No blinds on windows makes it hard to sleep-in Our suggestion for the first day activity is Miners Castle overlook and 2.5 mile hike to the beautiful beach. We got there at 4pm and were back at the house for dinner. We would definitely be back! So much to do in that beautiful area! Comfortable house took the stress out and made it easy to travel with kids!
