The Getaway ist eine neu renovierte Hütte mit 2 Schlafzimmern (Hauptschlafzimmer hat ein Kingsize-Bett - 2. Schlafzimmer hat 2 Einzelbetten) und 1 Bad (Dusche) im gemütlichen Dorf von Weihnachten befindet sich nur ein paar Meilen westlich von Munising entfernt.

The Getaway Cabin verfügt über einen Flachbild-TV mit Kabel, VCR / DVD mit verschiedenen Filmen für die Gäste zu genießen. Verschiedene Spiele und Puzzles sind ebenfalls verfügbar. Das Dekor-Thema enthält Bilder und Karten von Munising & Lake Superior, die die interessante Geschichte der Gegend darstellen.

Die große Küche hat alle neuen Anwendungen und ist komplett mit allen Essutensilien und Kochgeschirr ausgestattet. Es gibt einen großen Garten mit einem Picknicktisch, einen Gasgrill für alle Ihre Outdoor-Küche und eine Feuerstelle für Ihre abendlichen Lagerfeuer. Die Nachbarschaft Zugriff auf Lake Superior ist etwa 350 '. Sie können Ihr Boot oder Kajak vom Strand starten. Das ATV Ausgangspunkt ist über die Straße hinter dem Casino.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cabin. Family friendly for us bringing a small child and quiet even with a restaurant nearby. Very short walk to Lake Superior beach with tons of cool rocks to check out. Our host was very nice and made us feel very welcome. I didn’t get any cabin photos to share, but do have a nice one of our kiddo playing in the water at the Lake Superior beach that is close by.

The cabin was perfect, quiet good location close to the lake I walk to the lake with my dog every morning and evening. The backyard was great we had barbeque every night also used the firepit. The boat tour were great only 4 to 5 minute away. Very relaxing vacation would go back again.

Second time staying...and will be back for a 3rd! Awesome location a block from Lake Superior. The bed is more comfortable than my own. Clean house and yard. Not far from activities, Foggys has great steak, and you just may win some money at the Christmas Casino. If you like hiking Chapel Rock is a great place to go and so many photo opportunities. On the way back stop at The Bear Trap. They have awesome wings and AMAZING cheese curds (and we are from WI). Waterfalling was great time as well!!!

Was the peefect size for our needs. The huge backyard was such a blessing. Everything was clean and tidy. Our host checked in periodically and let us know of happenings in the area.

This was the perfect home away from home! We spent the daytime adventuring nearby attractions like the Glass Bottom Boat, Pictured Rock Cruise, Sandy Point Beach, and so much more. Nights at the cabin were peaceful with all the ammenities needed to prepare dinner on the grill, over the campfire or in the kitchen. The beds were comfy for a good night rest. Looking forward to coming back again!

Fantastic

Very close to all the Pictured Rocks attractions, waterfalls and beaches. The house was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our dogs loved the fenced in backyard. The on-site campfire wood for sale was very convenient. Karen really went above and beyond to make my birthday getaway great.

Cozy, convenient, and clean

We really enjoyed our stay. The host was really kind, communicative and thoughtful. She thought of everything and we appreciated having all of the conveniences already available in the cabin. It made packing less stressful. The location was perfect for many waterfalls/ hiking trails, rock hunting, and pictured rocks. We were able to do all of the activities we were interested in doing in the area. We found a great fresh fish market and grilled delicious lake trout. We also discovered a cool sculpture park (Lakenland) and highly recommend it. The backyard was private and quiet. We were happy to hang out and grill in the backyard while our standard poodle had a safe outdoor space to relax in.

Amazing Cabin tucked away right next to the lake.

I couldnt speak more highly about this place. Karen was wonderful and so was the property. The area was beautiful and had tons of things to keep us busy. The fenced in back yard was the cherry on top. Our dog LOVED it. We plan on revisiting next year.

A great experience once again.

This was the second time we have stayed at the Getaway Cabin on our trips to the Upper Peninsula. Karen was very attentive and check in with us a couple of times during our stay. We would recommend this site to anyone interested in a place to stay near Munising.

Recent stay in Christmas Mi

The place worked out great for us. It was centrally located so we could go exploring east and west in the UP. Cabin had all we needed; kitchen was well stocked with all cooking utensils for indoor and outdoor eating and amenities were all in good working order. Would recommend this place to other people doing the same things we did.

Autumn Stay

My husband, our dog, and I enjoyed our stay tremendously. Attractions in Munising stay open much later in the season than other smaller towns but some of the restaurants close by to the rental had already closed for the season. The rental itself and as listed. It was extremely clean upon arrival. Communication with Karen with excellent but not overdone. The beach access down the street is amazing to view stars and search for rocks! The only issue is where the heater was initially placed, when plugged into the closest outlet and also having the fireplace on, it blew a fuse. We switched the heater to a different outlet and didn’t have an issue since. We would definitely stay again!

A true gift to find in Christmas

10/10!! Karen truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was fantastic. Karen even left us a very sweet honeymoon gift to help us celebrate our time at her cabin. The location could not be better situated! It is just next to one of the best eateries in Christmas. It was the perfect location to visit everything in the area from hikes and waterfalls to boat tours and visiting small coastal towns. This place truly has it all!

Cozy Little Cabin

We were delightfully surprised when stepping into this clean, cozy little cabin. The host, Karen, has thought of many details that make this rental desirable. The location makes it convenient to visit many of the area waterfalls and other outdoor activities. A short walk down to the end of the road brings you to the beautiful Lake Superior shoreline. This place is a gem!

Clean, cozy cabin, perfect location

I cannot say enough good about this vrbo rental. This was my first time using vrbo. The getaway cabin is a perfect location to get to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore area and things to do around the Munising area. The cabin is right next door to the Duck Pond restaurant is a great benefit too, you can walk to dinner! The fenced-in back yard was a bonus having puppies to just let them run and wear off some energy. And the short walk to the end of the road to enjoy the beach for sunrise was GREAT. Karen was such a great hostess, communication was great, she checked in with us at the perfect times to make sure we arrived, if we needed anything & nearing check out. I would highly recommend this location and if we find ourselves looking to stay in Munising again, this would be the only place I would stay! Thank you for making our vacation perfect!

Relaxing stay

Cute home and nicely decorated. We were very comfortable. There is a bar with a patio next door but it appeared to be closed two of our three-night stay and on night three, we were not disturbed by any noise. We were traveling with our dog so very pleased to find the backyard completely fenced in. The lake was a very short walk from the home. The location was an easy in and out for sightseeing, shopping, and restaurants. Communication with our host was simple. We enjoyed our stay.
