This is not going to be a "defensive rebuttal" but a statement of facts. The bed was moved by the guests so the siderail disengaged and dropped about an inch. A check in sheet is to be filled out and texted back so there are no questions as to whether or not the condo is up to par. My guests checked all items and signed off with no problems noted. (not even the bed). Guests never read rule sheet requiring laundry to be done. Direct communications are necessary between host and guest to expedite any concerns.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take every guest’s concerns seriously, but we also feel it is important to clarify several inaccuracies in this review for future guests. The claims regarding the condition of the property are not consistent with our records or the circumstances of this stay. The property was professionally serviced prior to the guest’s arrival, and we were not presented with the extensive cleaning issues described here upon arrival. We also have documentation regarding the condition of the property and the services performed before this reservation. Regarding the pest-control visit, an exterminator was at the property that morning as part of our routine pest-control service—not because the property had been determined to be unsafe or infested. Unfortunately, seeing a pest in a coastal vacation property does not automatically constitute a health hazard, and we took the appropriate steps to address the situation. We also did communicate with the guest regarding their concerns and attempted to address the situation. Their characterization that we simply “didn’t care” and refused to help does not accurately reflect those communications or the steps we took. The guest also resorted to communicating vague threats which prompted the Installation of security cameras and security system after having this property as a rental for over 6 years. We are particularly disappointed by the claim that the guest purchased $400 in cleaning supplies and groceries and cleaned the property themselves. We have no documentation supporting that amount, and no such expenses were presented to us for reimbursement during the stay. The guests had no Issues In using all provided bedsheets and towels In what they claim was not able to be stayed In. Neighbors contacted the owner In regards to a noise complaint Involving these guests screaming at each other and law enforcement had to be contacted. Guests had thrown food on the walls Inside and had also thrown food within the stairwell. We value our guests and work hard to maintain a clean, comfortable property, which is reflected in the overwhelming majority of our reviews. We respect that every guest may have a different experience, but we believe future guests deserve an accurate account of what occurred.
