Nice condo, great location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a nice condo, overall. It has an updated kitchen, nice dining and living room areas and great deck furniture. The bathrooms are ok but need to be updated (and more towel bars added), the bedrooms need new flooring or the carpet needs to be shampooed, the slider door tracks need to get a good cleaning and the condo needs a washing machine that gets clothes clean! The washer didn’t agitate well and the powdered laundry soap didn’t dissolve in the water. Also, the tile floors were dirty. The bottoms of my white socks were very dirty from walking across the tile floors. I had to clean the floors myself- not something I wanted to do on vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented 2 condo 303 and302 next to each other, 4 generations of our family from age 2 to 86. The weather was a little overcast and rainy, water was rough but we got out on the beach more days then not, and still had a great time. Condos were excellent, plenty of room for the 4 families who were there. We'll stock with what we needed, plenty of seating for morning coffee on the balcony and game nite at the dining room table. This is the 4th year I've booked thru brooks and shorey, always has been smooth and easy with no problems. Location is wonderful. I will be back again next year.

We want to thank Brooks and Shorey who makes sure the condo is in tip top condition! Always clean too. The view from the balcony is glorious! We spend most of our day there. The balcony furniture is perfect. The building is within walking distance of several local & delicious restaurants. Thank you for a lovely stay. Can't wait to return.

Met Expectations and more

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at the Gulf Dunes several times and have not been disappointed. The location and proximity to restaurants, beaches and shopping is perfect for our needs. The beach access is just right. Some of the other resorts offer more amenities and pools but that comes with a price of overcrowding and overpricing. Our unit was comfortable, clean and well furnished with all the necessities. The beds were comfortable and had quality linens. I had cheap bedcovers that slip and slid off...these were not like that. There were plenty of towels and kitchenware that made our stay comfortable. I would definitely rent this unit again.

Relaxing and Revitalizing Beach Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely enjoyed our week long stay at this condo. It was clean, comfortable, and a perfect fit for us (2 adults and 2 children), my brother, and my parents! It was spacious enough with a kitchen that served all our needs. However, the best part of the entire part was the location. The beach was our backyard and it was the easiest and shortest walk to get there. Another perk to the location is that it isn't ridiculously busy and just a short drive to Destin (which was super busy). We were able to utilize the awesome perk packages that came with our stay and loved the beach side service. I can't say this enough but we truly loved our time there and can't wait to vacation there again. I left feeling relaxed (which is saying a lot since I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old)!!!

Last year was wonderful, this year even more so due to the updates that have been made. An updated, beautiful kitchen, new larger flat screen TV in living room plus all flat screen TV's mounted on walls in bedrooms, and the living room furniture is new and pretty. The view is incredible, and again the furniture on the balcony is perfect. We spend a lot of time on the balcony and saw both dolphin and sting ray, plus sea birds! Brooks and Shorey again were incredible from helping us find the perfect condo, to providing a clean condo with everything in working order. Only one small problem with a door handle that was fixed the very day we mentioned it. Thank you for being the perfect hosts.

Great location and complex

The location is perfect for our family getaway. The condo had everything needed for our stay. It definitely needs some updating and the master bed was extremely uncomfortable and hard which is why I gave it an overall 4 star rating. The property management was great and responded very quickly to everything! We'll definitely be back to Gulf Dunes but will choose a different condo.

We are grateful for the kind words! Seeing dolphins every morning sounds like a dream come true. The white sand and uncrowded beach is one of the best things about off season and Gulf Dunes in general.

We were happy with the size of the unit it met our family's needs. The location was an area we were familiar with and we loved the views and the fireworks from the pier. The unit needs to be updated. The decor is dated and some of the countertops were chipping. We were extremely disappointed in the water. It was filthy and completely filled with seaweed. So much no one gets in. I know this is not the owner's fault by all means. But the option to hang out at the pool was there and we did a lot. It was very disappointing in the pool area. Not one time did the area get cleaned, washed off of sand and dirt and had no shade at all. Here's to hoping the next time we go we have beautiful water to see and swim in.

Fox Family Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was good but the unit we stayed at (303) had a problem with the air conditioning working. We thought that the heat outside was not allowing the unit to cool down as we could not get the unit to cool below 74 degrees. By Thursday it was unbearable and I called B&S office to request help. I had to stay in the unit most of the afternoon to let in folks for assessment of the problem and my beach time Thursday afternoon didn't happen. The only other problem that I had was that the people staying in 304 started to pile up their trash outside of the unit and it piled up for two days until I made a call. I couldn't get my beach wagon past the **** they had piled up outside their unit. I hope someone makes the rule known that you have to take your trash out and that no one from B&S is going to pick it up.

Great place to stay

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit set up was exactly what we needed. It was clean and well equipped with enough towels and even extra which isn't always the case. Condo sleeps 8 and you could actually cook for 8 with the pots and pans on hand. Loved that it had a washer/dryer and the beach service seals the deal!
