Jungle retreat with fabulous pool

The property is a short walk from one of the best beaches in Costa Rica, pristine sand no coral or rocks in the shore. bathtub warm water. Plentiful wildlife . The property has an incredible swimming pool and is right in the jungle, easy to get to. Layout is a bit strange with sleeping accommodation separate from kitchen and LR and bright lights outside on a timer until midnight kept me up. Lots of crazy doors and keys. It may be just the environment but plumbing/ air conditioning hot tub not working and Appliances are all in a state of disrepair.Kitchen is adequate for simple meals .The bed was super comfortable. The outdoor furniture is fantastic and stylish. Bring your own music player. Beware of the construction right next door they are working every day.. I don’t normally leave reviews that aren’t great as I know how they affect the rental but the price is very steep for what you get.. the hosts who are hired by the owners are fantastic BTW

Fantastic modern villa in Manzanillo

So grateful to have found this gorgeous modern villa in Manzanillo! We stayed during the Green Season when the daily rain can be absolutely torrential - but very short-lived - so the surrounding jungle is even more gloriously lush than in the VRBO photos (which are 100% accurate otherwise). Oskar the villa manager was just a joy: he ensured that we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay, and maintained timely communication. Other notable musings: 1) All the indoor areas have A/C + ceiling fans; 2) the wifi is strong enough to have video meetings if you have to work; 3) the pool is small but refreshing with shallow & plunge sections, and the jacuzzi takes a while to fill but is def worth doing at least once; 4) the brown recliner in the living room will COMMAND you to fall asleep; 5) the howler monkeys will be your morning alarm; 6) there is a quiet beach (Playa Grande?) just 4 minutes' walk away; 7) the restaurants at Manzanillo/Cocles are close, but we also picked up groceries at the supermarket before arriving so that we could cocoon ourselves when it rained too hard to go out; 8) we splurged on an incredible fish & chicken dinner in-house by Chef Pablo (kindly arranged by the owner Brandon) on our first night after a very long drive, and do NOT regret it; and 9) the unpaved road leading to The Oasis can be tricky to find, so strongly recommend arriving in daylight to avoid driving back and forth and back like we did :) We will be back! Pura vida!!

As I’m typing this review, no words come to mind describing how great E and her lovely family were~ such a delight to host! E communicated smoothly and was very respectful of the place and left it clean and tidy. Thank you, E and family for being so considerate of the space and such special guests. We also had a great time arranging a private chef service for E and her family at the house. E and her family were amazed and so were we! The food looked amazing! Really enjoyed hosting you and providing you with a great experience. We would love to have you stay with us again in the near future. Your vibe and amazing energy really show us that you’re part of our family now. Come back anytime!

Perfect paradise

Gigantic 500 year old ceiba trees met the ocean a short distance from this house.Trees filled /w seeds were perfect to watch toucans, aracaris, guan other tropical birds. We saw troops of spider monkeys swinging through the trees by 'our' secluded beach…loved it! heard howler monkeys every morning. Home had a great set up … Loved the layout of kitchen the A/c, many fans,.Appreciated the big tv at night the reclining chair. We felt very safe at all times though in the jungle, there are homes near by and the town of Manzanillo is close for most of your fun and daily needs. We liked Maxi's restaurant-was fun and had good food, try the lemonade with good grass! Also, the 4th generation-try their guanbana drink.We do recommend having a car to get you too many beautiful beaches, but we loved. 'our beach' so close to the house.Secluded enough but close to everything.This house has plenty of parking inside the home's landscaped enclosed grounds. Ideal for us as we appreciate privacy and low density.Our property manager, recommended a list of things to see and do & we chose chef Ian, who cooked as fabulous 4 course dinner for us one night.Highly recommend. He brings all the ingredients, cooks, serves, and does all the clean up afterward. 5 ***** goes to himPluses:Excellent beds, homes layout with each bedroom have its own big bathroom plus a half bath outside by the pool, , awesome kitchen, and laundry room.
