New to VRBO! Private, quiet, and peaceful, Villa del Mito gives perfect work/life balance. Enclosed within a wall and secure gate, the lush garden and fruit trees attract birds, sloths, and other wildlife. Enjoy time on the spacious patio and by the pool with friends and family, make a festive meal, and walk to the black sands of Playa Negra. Or, relax in your bedroom with separate entrance, bath and AC. The villa has satellite wifi, a dedicated office space, and ample desks in all bedrooms.

Welcome to Villa del Mito. We live here at different times during the year, and we love it! We hope your family and friends enjoy being here as much as ours do.

The living room and kitchen share an open space with vaulted ceilings and ceiling fans. The kitchen island has plenty of prep space and two seats, so several people can cook and gather at once. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed to prepare and serve meals, including table linens. Outside the front door is a covered patio with a gas grill and a large dining table.

The three bedrooms each have their own entrance, with French doors opening directly onto the veranda into the garden. They all have new, comfortable mattresses. Each bedroom has its own air conditioner and private bathroom with a large rainfall shower.

Additionally, the sofa in the office folds down into a bed, with access to the half-bath in the living room. The office is air conditioned.

If you need to catch up on some work, we have a dedicated office space off the patio with a large desk, sofa, and office chair, plus an ample desk in each bedroom. We have 50 mb satellite mesh wifi, perfect for digital nomads. Each of our four routers has an uninterruptable power supply in case the electricity goes out (which it does sometimes, for a few minutes--it's the Caribbean!). The office room is air-conditioned and has a fold-down couch for sleeping.

The pool is beautifully tiled, with a Baja shelf and a fountain cascading water into the pool. Around the pool, there’s a covered ranchito and an outdoor living room, perfect for lounging before or after a swim. There’s an outdoor shower by the front gate for rinsing off beach sand, and an outdoor half-bathroom with sink/toilet near the pool that can also be used as a changing room.

We have off-street parking available for up to three vehicles.

The gorgeously landscaped grounds give you a feeling of tranquility, relaxation, and privacy. A cacao tree greets you as you walk in the front gate; there’s also a large mango tree and a guanabana. Sloths, toucans, parrots, iguanas, bats, kinkajou, and other wildlife visit regularly.

The property is in a quiet neighborhood on a dead-end street, and is entirely enclosed within a wall, with a secure gate. You’ll have the garden, swimming pool, and entire house to yourself.
