True, we do not provide a hair dryer and beach towels and we never stated that we did. However, I do not understand why the renter said the kitchen/bathrooms were poorly stocked. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, kitchen utensils and cookware. The bathrooms are complete with bath towels and a starter toiletry set.

I am so sorry to hear this. I am also very surprised because half way through your stay you said so far so good? If you would have communicated to me I would have had new towels delivered immediately. Unfortunately I can only fix what I know. Yes the third floor is a little warmer than the lower floors. Heat does rise. I include tips for helping keep the third floor cool, and if followed most renters have no problem. Thanks for your feed back.

I’m sorry you were not satisfied. If however you would have told me your needs during your stay I could have addressed them. If there were not enough glasses I would have had them delivered to you the next day. In your review, you are critical without specifics or correct info. 1. The washing machine is NEW. (2 years) 2. Kitchen is stocked with service for 8 + including new pots and pans EVERY year, glass were new in April and fully stocked. Appliances include dishwasher, coffee pot, microwave, NEW stainless stove, New stainless Refrigerator, crockpot, blender, Newer washer/dryer to name a few. 3. To address updates, all 3 bathrooms have been completely remodeled in the last 3 years. Rooms are freshly painted on a regular schedule. Carpet is newer and is steamed cleaned every year as is furniture. mattress are within the last 3 years. 4. Grill is a size that will fit in the patio without causing crowding or creating a hazard. It is also pictured on the site so you were able to see it before you booked. Seems unfair to complain when you were aware before you booked. We make every attempt to keep our home in the best condition. Each year we update as evidenced by the bathrooms, new appliances, painting, new flooring , not to mention unseen items like AC, hot water tank, etc. We live here for part of the year it is our home and we maintain our home. A review isn’t much good to me if it just complains and doesn’t give specifics. The information renters get clearly ask that if something if broken or missing the renter notify me right away so I can remedy the problem.

While we appreciate constructive criticism, this review is not the case. The living room furniture was purchased new at the end of the 2015 season. The kitchen has been updated with new floors, countertops, and sink. The ceramic tile floor was installed in 2015. Second floor bathroom was updated in 2015. Lamps and decor were updated to match new living room furniture. Perhaps these renters did not care for the decor, but it is by no means old or outdated. We have chosen an island theme to complement the area. Please take a look at the pictures before making judgement. We update our pictures as we make changes. Each year we strive to update, repair and maintain our villa to the highest standards. Thank you for reading and we hope you will make you decision based on the pictures.

Thank you for your review. I’d like to first say that we ask if there is any problem upon checkin you let me know immediately so it can be remedied. You did not inform me of any cleaning problems. If you had I would have immediately had the cleaning crew return to fix any problems. I would much rather you tell me of a problem and let me fix it than for you to tell me in a review. I’d also like to point out that we specifically say we Do Not provide beach towels. This is in our listing. Perhaps you didn’t look in the closets, we do provide extra pillows along with blankets. These are located in the bedroom and hall closets. To address the air conditioning, we do have room darkening shades on the 3rd floor. Keeping these closed can make a big difference in temperatures. As with most multi level homes, the upper floors do not typically cool as quickly as the lower floors. Keeping blinds closed and keeping the ceiling fan running usually works well. The towels we provide are standard size towels. They are not oversized towels. We like to keep our clients happy, but can only do this if we know of problems when they happen. We can not remedy something if we are not made aware of the problem.
