Villa Port Vell is our dream come true: Brand new, comfortable tropical home with 4 bedrooms with A/C and fans, 4 bathrooms, big living room/dining room, large kitchen and breakfast counter. Pool with massive sun patio. Outdoor kitchen by the pool, including refrigerator, gas BBQ, gas stove, TV and bar. The house has space for 12 people across King and Queen size beds and bunks. I would come back and stay here in a heartbeat. Villa is exactly as shown in the photos. Pool was really nice to hang out in after a long day. Rooms were spacious and loved that each room had its own bathroom. Gathering spaces were nice as we went with friends. Communication with host was prompt and easy. Highly recommend!

Truly Paradise

The house is beautiful, felt spacious for our group of 8 adults and was very well stocked with everything we needed. Wonderful Place in the perfect location

Just a few minutes from playa chiquita, far enough from the crowds of playa cocles, this place was wonderful. We woke up the first day to toucans and macaw in the trees and to the sounds of howler monkeys. Property management was very responsive to all our requests. Highly recommend this place.

Relaxing stay!

We absolutely loved staying here! The property manager was communicative and attentive from the start. There were lots of appliances for us to use and there were many spaces to eat. We'd stay there again. I will say that the pool is a bit on the deep end with a large final step so if you have non-swimmers under 5ft or people that need a gradual step in, it might be hard to enjoy.

A Jungle experience

Overall we were happy with this property: we loved the outside area, but the pool was a little on the small side.Unfortunately, our stay coincided with a monsoon, so we could not enjoy the outside as much as would be normal and the howler monkeys, also unhappy with the rain, woke us at 5.00 each morning. Nevertheless, it was lovely to be so close to nature.The bedrooms are confortable and the living space also.The kitchen is well equipped and there is the bonus of the outside kitchen and extra fridge.Octal beach was not safe for swimming at the time we were there , the safest one is in Cahuita National Park.The property left beach chairs and toys for the children, very much appreciated, as was the immediate response from Christian if we had any problems or questions.Thank you to our hosts

My name is Christian, and along with my wife Adriana and our sons Diego and Andres we own and manage Villa Port Vell. Our home was built in 2022 as the result of a lifelong dream of owing a home and hopefully retire in our beautiful Caribbean. Along came COVID, and our retirement dream morphed into a business opportunity. We designed, built and equipped Villa Port Vell to our highest standards, as if it was our full time home, with all of the comforts you would find in a city house, but right in the middle of the tropical jungle. Come join us, relax and get to see and enjoy what the Puerto Viejo area has to offer!! Welcome and Pura Vida!!!

The home is located within a residential development called Sara Emilia Town. Several houses are already built and a bunch of folks call the area their permanent residence. Being in a residential area, we ask our guests to be courteous to our neighbors and not to throw parties or any noisy event or celebration that could annoy others. We are a close knit community, and would love for our guests to feel part of it too. Within the development there is an Argentinian restaurant (Que Quilombo!) and within a 5-10 minute drive you can reach several supermarkets, many restaurants and beaches like Cocles, Playa Chiquita, Punta Uva, Playa Grande and Manzanillo. Also, there are activities like renting bikes or scooters, kayaking, snorkeling, horseback riding, and much more.

Our home was designed and built with your family's comfort in mind. Our large, high-ceiling central area has a TV room, living room and dining room, right next to our spacious and fully equipped kitchen. Our 4 bedrooms can hold between 2 and 4 guests each, for a maximum of 12 guests, with the added convenience of a full bathroom for each room. We have a sundeck that wraps around our very refreshing pool, and on the other side of the pool you will find our "rancho" that features another TV, full sized fridge, BBQ grill, BBQ stove, sink and bar with capacity for up to 10 people. Our "rancho" also has a toilet and external shower, so you can remove sand from your feet when coming back from the beach.
